The times she has gone on vacation I've come back, and every time I regret it. I needed a one week fill. Instead of charging me for a one week fill with foreign lash fee, they charged me for a 6 week fill!! Even the tech told me that wasn't right.. The second time I came back the tech was struggling, it felt like she spent more time ungluing my lashes from the pad then actually doing my lashes. When I got home, I noticed she had CUT a third of my bottom lashes because she didn't cover them with the pad correctly. And the last time, I was told I didn't have an appointment, when I showed the tech my text confirmation she said the tech is on her way she was over 30 minutes late and finished a full set in about 40 minutes. I had showed the tech a picture from THEIR yelp page of what I wanted and my lashes looked nothing like it. Then she said "let me check your profile" because my biggest complaint was the length. She used 14/15s when I get 19/20s.. and she said oh ,ok. So she tried to add longer lashes in, four times she took off the pads thinking she was done but I kept saying they are too short and look nothing like the picture. I finally gave up. She glued lashes on top of lashes so now I have thick clumps of glue along my lash line that are too heavy for my lashes. The longer lashes look messy and out of place. I reached out via email thre days later to get this rectified but I haven't received a response.

I've always wanted an anklet and it felt like it was finally time to get one. She said it takes only a few minutes and told me to speak with Vi, the owner. Vi told me she can't and won't do it because she's worried it'd fall apart in a few days and that instead, I should have Vivian do it because she does a fabulous job with permanent jewelry. I like how Vi cares about the quality and the longevity of her services. (+100 Points for being ethical and truthful!) Some places only care about taking customer's money and call it a day. Vivian wasn't scheduled to be in for the day, but she immediately came by when she heard I was interested.(More points for being so flexible!) While I was waiting, Vi was helping me pick out the chains and charms. I had questions regarding the type of metal as I'm pretty picky with jewelry and hate when things just rust and tarnish after like a month. And especially with something being "permanent", I wanted to make sure it will stand the test of time. Vi dealt with my never-ending questions and even helped me arrange the charms as she and I both know how super indecisive I am. Vivian came in and got to work right away. She was very meticulous with the placements of the charms to make sure everything looks perfect. After placing it on my ankle, Vi came out to take a look and suggested for it to be cut shorter/tighter for aesthetic purposes as well as practicality--she didn't want it to be too loose where it'd get caught in things. Vivian was super professional and even though she had to remove it off my ankle and do a re-do, she again, was very careful and took her time to make sure everything is in place. And now--I finally have an anklet! A super cute one that screams me, and it's also permanent! I stand proud having something "permanent" on me because I still can't commit to a tattoo. Maybe one day. I saw BellaMe Wax & Lash on Yelp and wanted to give Ms. Tamika a try. I messaged through the yelp app and was able to get a same day appointment. Although I knew where the address was, I still got lost. I didn't realize that BellaMe was in a salon complex! It's next to Moneky Joes and the facility holds several independent beauty artists. Anyway, I found Ms. Tamika and she got to work on my eyebrows! I have super thick eyebrows that left unchecked, become furry caterpillars. But once done, they make my face! Ms. Tamika made my eyebrows look amazing!! I couldn't stop smiling at how good they looked! She took her time with angling, waxing, and trimming my eyebrows. I found a Groupon deal and started going to their Spring location, which was the first site. I have been a loyal client ever since and have recommended many friends and coworkers. The owner, Erik, is super nice. I chat with him at the Spring location, but he oversees both with scheduling and will call me in case there's time that I can come in earlier. Ever since they opened the Katy location a couple years ago, one of my favorite eyelash technicians relocated here. I see Jennie about once a month for a full set. I lie back in the recliner with a blanket, and she works her magic. She's very careful, and I can barely feel her working on them as she's replacing the lashes or adding each individual lash. I take great care of my lashes, so they last me a long time. I often get compliments because they look natural, which is what I love and why I keep going back to them. Plus, they are Asian-owned, so I feel like they understand my eyes. People of all ethnic backgrounds do come to both locations though! I love having them because I look alive even without makeup or if I'm sick. Lol. I stopped wearing foundation over the pandemic anyway, so it's not much. I commute 30-35 minutes to either location, but I do like the light touch Jennie has and prefer to see her. The price point is cheaper than most eyelash places. A full set is $89.99, which is over 4 weeks. If you do 2-4 week refills, it's even cheaper than that. I highly recommend Emlash for eyelash extensions. They also do eyebrows and facials, but I don't get that done here.

Wanted to get it done for the first time to check it out. I mainly found two places that had the service My lash girl being one of them. The other place is much bigger and has more of a name but I like to shop locally. I spoke to Darlene over the phone with some questions, she directed me to the website to book an appt. I went through with the request put in my info and everything but no where was there an option to book an appt or see her availability. I called again, sent a text with my availability. Waited TWO DAYS for a reply and then finally got an appt scheduled. THEN, Darlene texts me 3 HOURS BEFORE MY APPT to say that she won't make it back to Katy in time. I'm so upset as now it's been more than a week since trying to make an appt and I finally make one and she cancels on me. She has a strict no show/cancellation policy she holds her customers to but then just unprofessionally cancels appts on customers. I don't get it. She knew she had my appointment why would she not plan accordingly. So we find a new time to reschedule for 3 days later. **I'm finally at my appointment and she starts by asking me how curly I want them. I told her I wanted them the curliest. Then as I'm laying and she's already put the stickies on my eyes and everything she asks if I want "WHISPS OR BABYDOLL". Now this is the first time I ever do anything to my lashes never done extensions or even falsies, so I have nooo idea what she's referring to. She explains the whisps are like flared that pair perfectly with winged eyeliner or Babydoll which are just pretty and curly. I had no idea which one I wanted such a hard decision for me to make at that second without prior knowledge of what she's talking about. So she says she can do an in between one she does for people who can't decide. So I figure that's the best bet since I have no idea what either would look like. The last step for sure burned a lot but I wanted them curled and tinted as much as possible so I put up with it. Once it was all done and I got to see them, I definitely expected them to have come out curlier. But I figured that's just how they look now but they look better and I just didn't want to be disappointed. But I'm so disappointed. My left eyelashes definitely look whispy they all tilt to the left so my front lashes in my inner corner are non existent. My right eye lashes are curled in the middle but not the inner or outer corner and they're not curled all the way just a middle length curl. The point of getting your lashes permed is so you can skip the step of curling them everyday. I STILL HAVE TO CURL MY LASHES EVERYDAY :( The problem is they don't curl evenly or like they use to because of that jacked up perm she gave me. My eyelashes look stupid everyday now I'm so sad! I'm highly disappointed and frustrated for wasting my money, trusting Darlene & the good reviews(that are mainly for extensions), and for messing up my lashes. I was better off before coming in and now I have to wait weeks for it to go away. Please save your money and lashes and go somewhere else. I'm sure she's just better at extensions then perming. She is way too busy to respond to calls or texts in time, isn't flexible for appts, and doesn't care if your happy with her work. She took before and after pictures of me, she said she would send them to me and never did. I asked her for them and she never sent them to me. I might update with a picture once I take my mascara off so you can see how bad they look.

I took all precautions to make sure they lasted with my make up removal routine . So I text her and said hey , not sure If this is normal but this is what happened. Hah, so she then told me that she would do my whole new volume lash set for 50% off because she had changed glues and she had a few more clients tell her the same things ... well I show up and I had previously made a wax app as well for my brows , well 1.) we ran out of time and 2.) I wasn't upset because they didn't really need them . The lashes looked ah-mazing ( this post isn't about the quality of work she puts out, I have ALWAYS been pleased.) However , my husband texts me a few days later saying " holy cow why was it so expensive this time?" I proceeded to tell him that it was supposed to be half off ( 150$ originally so only should've been 75$) and I didn't do brows . I was charged 200.00!!!!!!!! I immediately text her and said what the heck?! Well 1.) she charged me for a service I didn't even get ( eyebrows) and she charged me the full 150.00$ for something that was her fault in the first place , on top of my 17.00 tip well we go back and forth and I tell her just to Venmo me everything back except for the 75$ I agreed to pay. Lol she Venmo's me the tip and the eyebrows. I text her and text her about the other half of my eyelashes that SHE specifically told me we're half off !!! NOT A SINGLE WORD FROM HER!! That's why she gets one star , I'm not sure why you can't go lower for being a thief . I really liked her and trusted her word and she betrayed me and essentially stole money from me . Awful awful awful business person , can't show up on time ( which I never complained because heck, I have a hard time getting somewhere on time due to my kids , which I know she has two with her), but to tell me one thing and BLATANTLY keep my money lol. I wouldn't trust her with the pay service , just saying . I hope she does well, but I wouldn't trust her .
