Title: A New Vision for Broussard's BBQ
We had the pleasure of dining at Broussard's BBQ in Beaumont, Texas, and it's clear this local favorite is entering an exciting new chapter under its new owner, Clay.
Clay warmly welcomed us and shared his enthusiasm for the business he recently took over from the previous long-time owners. His passion for keeping the Broussard's name alive while bringing fresh ideas to the table was evident--especially when he mentioned that he had just acquired a food truck to complement the brick-and-mortar location.
We tried the BBQ Sliced Beef Sandwich and BBQ Ribs Sandwich, along with sides of potato salad, baked beans, and green beans. The BBQ was flavorful, with a rich smoky profile, and the sides were good accompaniments, particularly the baked beans, which had a satisfying balance of sweetness and tang.
Clay's Southern hospitality shined when he invited us to try coconut cream pie and lemon pie. Both desserts were delightful--the coconut cream pie was light and velvety, with just the right amount of sweetness, while the lemon pie was refreshing with a bright citrusy kick.
Broussard's BBQ is in good hands, and it's exciting to see where Clay's vision will take it. The food was enjoyable, and Clay's dedication to preserving tradition while pushing forward with new ideas promises a bright future for this Beaumont institution.
