The run around I received from staff regarding where / how to purchase and then to coordinate delivery was absolutely ridiculous. I should have left there. They charge extra for delivery INTO a house / property. Basic delivery only covers to a driveway or garage. They hire independent contractors to handle their deliveries, those contractors are super rude to customers. The guy called me to tell me he couldn't do the delivery since he didn't have another guy with him, didn't care when I said I'd call the store, and then hung up on me. I called the store, explained the situation only to receive "so what's your question?" by their staff. I also never received any communication from the general manager, as he was emailed as well. The contractor ended up going back to Menards to pick up one of their staff members to help with this delivery. This was discussed with me around 5pm -- delivery didn't happen until almost 7:30pm; I received no update and had to call them to see when I might be able to expect the delivery. During the delivery, this contractor was literally raising his voice and screaming at me, always trying to get his two cents in. I had to ask him several times to stop yelling at me, and eventually ended up telling him that he's said enough this evening. Only reason I'm giving them a two star review is with how polite the second guy was. I never got a basic apology from any of the staff members with how I was treated from the beginning trying to purchase this piece, nor the experience I had with the independent contractor. Constant blame game between the contractor and the staff at Menards.

I recently was shopping in the flooring section and there is no one ever there now, I spoke to a associate in another section and they said corporate is "cleaning house" and everyone was getting fired. It does seem like it as the new manager Omar treates and talks to the employees poorly. I see he has some type of power trip and control issues when directing the staff. Such poor management...oh well I use to like the friendly feel of the store bit now it seems tense and hostile, this trickles down to the customer as i felt agitated and just wanted to get out of there instead of shop around. They must have fired cashiers too as it takes forever to check out now. I originally went for some deck paint. The new manager (red hair guy with no name tag) mixed the paint and it was way off, he had to ask the employees how to do it. Lol. What kind of manager needs to do this!!This made me sooo upset because I was there 45 minutes waiting for help and then this JA made the wrong color. To top it off, that was the last one even though it said there was 3 in stock...this new management makes us question in even coming back. What the f happened??!!??

The carpert installation was really bad in my opinion. The carpet installation was hired out by MDS…read moreto Carpetland and they hired a sub contractor to actually install it. The carpet was cut too narrow on the treads on many of them and shows the white bottom of the carpet foundation as you look at it from above and at the corner it was completely missed. The installer said it was due to the bad carpert that we picked out from Carpetland. Allan the sales person never said anything about the carpet being low grade, we just liked the color, we did not even know the price as it was included in the estimate! So I pointed out the imperfections to the installer and kept getting the same reply, "Theres only so much we can do with this carpet"
