Doron was the first contractor that I spoke with about my project, and was by far the best experience that I had. He took the time to really look at my space, listened to my needs and specific requests, and gave great suggestions on how I could improve it. After taking measurements he sat down with me for over an hour patiently answering all of my questions. This was my first time considering a major remodel and he was great at anticipating where I would need guidance. He also showed me various completed projects in his portfolio and I was so impressed with the quality of his work. I could tell that he really takes pride in his team and his craftsmanship. Doron was able to provide me with an initial quote on the same day as our consultation. I ended up with further questions and changes, and he graciously set up a zoom call with me to address them the following day. Out of all the contractors that I spoke with, Doron stuck out for being the most passionate about his work and also the most detail oriented. I really appreciated his honesty with me about what I could reasonably expect. As this was my first project, I didn't have a good idea on what to expect regarding costs. I didn't end up moving forward with Method Remodeling because of my budget, but would love to work with them in the future when I am better established.

He was very honest and upfront during the initial inspection and we appreciated him crawling into our crawlspace to give us a quote of the improvements he suggested. In terms of the actual work, he did a great job installing the foundation anchor plates and securing our posts to the beams. The entire project only took about a week and he acquired the permit rather quickly. The only thing that we didn't like was some of the communication over email about covering out patio deck. Before starting work, we politely requested that he cover our deck with any form of tarp, cover, or even cardboard just to be extra safe to prevent any scratches from the duct removal but his initial response felt a little hostile. He quoted us an additional $132 in time/materials just to do this. Perhaps there was miscommunication in terms of what he thought we were requesting but in the end he did cover a walkway path with ram board and didn't charge us any extra. There was no damage or scratches to our deck.

His attention to detail was stellar. So although the HORRIBLE mess is still there, it is not the fault of Kulda and Sons, but rather of the homeowner. I apologize for the posting. I assumed because the Kulda & Sons sign was posted in front of the home they were the contractors. I truly believe they were not. I talked to him about building a border around the area. That's really what we had 'hired' him for. We went out for dinner the day he showed up to work on the backyard. I wouldn't hesitate to use Masterful Construction again, but I probably would work harder to make sure I have chemistry with the designer, who I never gelled with. My understanding is she isn't working with them any longer anyway. That said, the bathroom looks great in the end. Masterful Construction aren't the budget option to remodel, but the process was painless and quick, and at the end of the day, that's exactly what I need.
