I tried Brothers Bistro this past Sunday and was pleased. I came a little after noon. It was not crowded and I was seated immediately. Comfortable and casual ambience. I liked how at the get-go they gave me a full set of silverware and chopsticks swaddled in a napkin. The crispy 1. Chả Giò spring rolls with ground pork and crab were excellent. I especially liked that they provided two dipping sauce for the spring rolls. One sauce was sweet and the other was tart with fish sauce flavor. I liked both sauces equally. For my entrée, I ordered the 24. Cơm Sườn Chả pork chop. I was intrigued by the menu description which included egg custard and broken rice. Overall, the pork was very good and I liked that it was not over-marinated with lemongrass. The egg custard was a square of something gelatinous. It had a mild pleasant flavor. So the broken rice is interesting. It seems like a short-grain white rice, but has a very nice somewhat dense texture. Even though the menu advertised lettuce with tomato for my pork chop, the lettuce came with thinly sliced carrot and radish instead of tomato, which was fine. The only negative about my visit to Brothers Bistro was that the pork chop came out at the same time as the spring rolls appetizer.
Fortunately if you live in Springfield or thereabouts, you do not need to drive to Eden to get good Vietnamese food. Brothers Bistro is located in Springfield Plaza near Springfield Town Center and serve a decent variety of Vietnamese dishes. Service is great and more importantly, food taste great. Their Vietnamese coffee is wonderfully strong with just the right amount of sweetness. We haven't tried all their dishes but so far, enjoyed what we've had in all our visits. My go-to is the Shaky Beef with fried rice which is served with tender beef, Chinese sausage and an egg over the fried rice. Their hot pot is good but not AYCE. Definitely recommended if you want good Vietnamese cuisine.
Stopped in to grab a few things to nosh on after work, Chả Giò and Gỏi Cuốn. The restaurant is pretty spacious and with Vietnamese music playing added to the ambiance. The food was fresh and the young gentleman who helped me was patient and gracious to help me pronounce the items I ordered. Can't wait to come back and order the Pho.
Brothers Bistro offers an impressively large menu with over 100 options featuring both classic and unique Vietnamese dishes. As someone who was raised on authentic, homemade Vietnamese food, I tend to go in with pretty high expectations. The atmosphere: Beautifully decorated interior with a spacious dining area--great for both small and larger groups. The food: I ordered the deep-fried chicken wings (Cánh Gà Chiên), which were perfectly crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. They come with a side of fish sauce, although they were delicious even without it. I also tried the Phở Brothers Đặc Biệt. The broth was rich and tasty, but I wish it came with more meat. I only had a few pieces in my bowl. The service: Friendly and attentive staff all around.
unique food options you dont usually see at other vietnamese restaurants. mom got the coconut snails and pan fried noodles. the service was super friendly n felt like you were a part of the family. very casual ambiance similar to most other modern vietnamese places around the area.
We had a good experience at Brother Bistro. I ordered the Hu Tieu Nam Vang and my husband got the Com Tam. Both were tasty and satisfying. The server was very friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. Overall, good food and great service. We'd definitely come back to try more dishes.
Found a new Vietnamese spot in Springfield for all my cravings! My friend and I came for lunch and shared the banh hoi combo brothers and the banh xeo with shrimp. Love the presentation of both and they really load you up with vegetables here! No skimping! The banh hoi platter was very good - there was one meat that wasn't our favorite. Not sure what it was. Looked like spam but wasn't. Everything else was delicious. The banh xeo was crispy but skimpy on the shrimp. Definitely loaded up on the mung bean. Wish it had bigger shrimp or at least not thinly sliced. We felt like we were eating a vegetarian banh xeo. Will definitely be back to try more dishes when in the area!
Service was great, waiter was really nice and attentive. Food was also really tasty too! We ordered nem nuong appetizer and the canh chua with fish (sweet and sour vegetable soup) and the combo wraps (build your own rolls with rice paper and a variety of meat and seafood). Everything tasted great! I ordered extra lemon to squeeze into my soup. The restaurant was clean and looked simple with some nice Vietnamese decor. It was quiet when I went for lunch on a Tuesday. The food was average priced and the portions were huge. We really enjoyed everything we ate! Bathrooms were also clean. Easy parking in the springfield plaza. I suggest going here. They have a variety of traditional Vietnamese food (not just your typical pho and banh mi sandwiches) and I'll be back to try more menu items :)
Oh. My. God. I don't know how I'll go to any other Vietnamese restaurant in the future because this one blew my mind. The ambiance is so peaceful, the space is clean, the staff is professional and kind, but the star of the show is the food. The menu is very extensive and at first, it's a little overwhelming, but let me assure you that anything you choose on the menu is going to be a hit. My family and I tried many different dishes and have not been disappointed by a single one! My heart, though, belongs to the Bò lúc lắc. This shaking beef is SO INCREDIBLY TENDER you will never want to eat at a steakhouse ever again. I crave it every day, no joke. All the food is so flavorful, satiating, but not heavy at all since all dishes are served with lots of greens and veggies. The chefs here really know what they're doing and this place has me as a loyal customer
Thrilled to find this superb Vietnamese restaurant in Springfield Plaza (next to Halal Guys). This is now the third excellent eatery in that plaza along with Bob and Ediths and Hot Peppercorn! Walls are nicely decorated with traditional art, and nice that there are lots of windows. I ordered the seafood clay pot and was pleasantly surprised that the rice was crispy like you get with dolsot bibimbap. Nice array of flavors. My wife got the spring rolls that you wrap yourself after dipping the sheet in water - that was a new experience for us! Those were yummy, she got the ones with beef skewers. We also had the fried spring rolls appetizer which were crispy and delicious. Great service, friendly staff. Will be back for sure
I ordered the dry noodle, and unfortunately it was too sweet for my liking, the sauce mix just didn't work for me. The meat toppings also didn't taste very fresh, which was disappointing. I also didn't like that the condiments weren't readily available on the table and had to be requested each time. I've also tried their pho and bun bo hue. The pho had a solid flavor (not the best but can fix ur cravings), and the bun bo hue is just okay. I've definitely had better elsewhere. Overall, while some dishes are passable, I think the flavor and quality could be improved.
We returned to give the food another try, and it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. Our server, Huy, made the experience even better--he was friendly, professional, and recommended a fantastic noodle dish that we loved. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
We had a hankering for Vietnamese food and wanted to try a place we had not before. Walking into the place, we liked the decor - had a fairly distinctly modern look, and plenty of seating available. we were greeted and could sit down anywhere. They speak Vietnamese here so feel free to order in that or English if you prefer. Or point to the great pictures in their menu - which is very beautiful. Our food came out pretty quickly and really hot the spot - definitely get the dac biet versions of what you want!
Ever since discovering this place, I have been coming here at least once a month. I absolutely absolutely absolutely love the food and its quality. Ive visited Vietnam before & this place makes me want to book another trip asap. Pro tip: get Vietnamese coffee! read more
Yummmmmm!!! This place seem pretty modern. Staff was nice and helpful. All the food taste great!! All very flavorful and delicious!!! There's things on the menu that typical Vietnamese restaurants don't carry. I don't have anything to complain about. From the soup to the crepe to the pork chop. All so good!! read more
The wings were good as were the crispy Thai spring rolls. My dac biet platter was delicious and unique. But the beef pho was meh. Too much coriander. It was our least favorite. Spoke to the owner as she said you can order it without the coriander. That's what I recommend for a more authentic experience. read more

Something bout virginia, y'all just do vietnamese food better out here (and I'm from CA). The last time we were in Springfield, this restaurant wasn't here but this plaza has changed a lot. It feels like this area is becoming the next Annandale. Food (5/5) Pho dac biet: I've had a lot of pho, like this is probably the one dish I've ate the most of out of anything and I was so pleasantly surprised by how unique this broth it. Never had anything like it. It has subtle differences that all add up into a very robust broth. Plus they are not shy with meat portions. Banh hoi combo brothers: At first, it looks rather pricey but after eating it, it is worth every penny. Its bigger than it looks, we were stuffed. Plus they brought out the fancy contraption!! One of them kitchen gadgets made specifically for expert spring rolling techniques. Service was also very kind and approachable. I hope this restaurant continues to do well! I was born in Vietnam and this has my stamp of approval. read more

My brother and I met up at this place. The exterior is totally different from the interior. There's plenty of parking and has multiple of other eateries around. The interior is very sleek, clean and cozy atmosphere. All staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We order 4 items: 1) Vietnamese iced coffee was okay. It was a little too foaming for me and less sweet. It wasn't your traditional slow drip but from a can 2) my brother order the beef pho and stated the broth was a little sweet 3) I order the pho gai which the broth was amazing 4) Lotus roots with shrimp and braised pork salad served with red onions, shredded carrots, Vietnamese mint, cilantro and a sweet vinaigrette. Everything was delicious and filled with umami. We will definitely make a return visit. read more
A new Viet spot in Springfield? Had to try it out, here's my review: FOOD Pleasantly impressed. The pho was amazing, broth was savory and the brisket was thicc and juicy instead of thin. The vermicelli bowl was also very good. It came with pork, shrimp, and the crispy egg rolls. We ordered a side of Summer Rolls and they were good, but not the best. But the crispy egg rolls tasted really good. AMBIENCE It's very nice and clean inside with a fusion of cultural elements from Vietnamese culture with a minimal aesthetic. SERVICE Service was great! We were greeted and seated upon entrance very quickly. It didn't take long for them to notice we were done looking at the menu. And the food was out in under 10 minutes! CONCLUSION Definitely plan on going here again to try out their other dishes, but this was a great first impression. The portions-to-price ratio seems justified and the quality, authenticity, and taste were there. Glad to have them around! read more
3.5/5 We were craving pho and were in the area running errands so we came by to visit Pho Hong Anh, but saw Brothers Bistro in its place! We entered and the interior is more modern and "hip" than before. It was a seat yourself kind of deal and then a waiter/waitress will come to take your order. We came around 1:45-2:00 and it was pretty full. We ordered the 19. Cơm Tấm Đặc Biệt (a rice dish), 46. Phở Tái Chín, and 54. Bún chả giò (a vermicelli dish). It took a bit of time for us to get out dishes and surprisingly, the pho was the last one to come out. The meat had come out fully cooked. The pho was really good! I don't know if I would order the number 19 again but I think that's more of a personal preference thing. Service was not exquisite. But not bad either. We paid upfront, later found out we were charged for a coke when we didn't order one. They were able to make it right though and apologized. I don't know if I'd drive out of the way to come here, but would order the pho again. It is a bit pricey but what isn't these days? read more
We enjoyed the food and service at this Vietnamese restaurant. We shared #3 spring rolls. #42 Brothers Pho, and a Vietnamese coffee. Spring rolls were very tasty. The style of pho soup was heavier and a bit more oily but still OK with a generous amount of rice noodles and enough for two. Vietnamese coffee had a good combination of rich coffee and sweet milk, while still packing a punch. Relatively empty for Friday lunchtime read more

Brothers bistro is the real deal!! This place was highly recommended by some friends and we are so glad we were able to check it out. The menu is very impressive offering a variety of all the best Vietnamese entrees and appetizers. We decided to try a little bit of everything so we got the spicy beef noodle soup and their rice noodle platter that comes with grilled pork, steak shrimp balls, and eggrolls. Everything was packed with flavor and well balanced. The spicy beef noodle soup portion is pretty generous and every bite was savory and just a little spicy. The grilled meats were perfectly cooked and made the perfect bite when paired with the rice paper, noodles, and veggies. The iced coffee was a perfect way to top off the meal. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. Can't wait to come back again. read more

We were out in Springfield and decided to try this place because there were a lot of good reviews. The atmosphere is also great as it is located in the centre of Springfield. The restaurant seems like a pretty traditional Vietnamese menu. Food taste pretty authentic. Food was good and you can tell it wasn't seasoned for foreigners. Food portions are pretty big. The service is also fast and attentive. We would definitely go back because he price, value and quality are all top notch. read more
One of my favorite viet spots in Springfield offering more than just pho! Since we're coming from MD, driving to Eden center can be a lot so this location is perfect. Quality of food is super fresh. Service is also always good and really fast. The price point is also very fair too for what you get! Lastly, the restaurant feels very cozy and a great place to bring family. read more

These folks are legit. Beautiful pho broth with tripe and tendon both cooked to perfect consistency. The snails in coconut milk were also so tasty! That's not a dish you see in the US often. read more
Tried this place for the first time today I had the #19 and 2 Saigon Beers which bought my total to $30ish with a 20% tip Presentation was really nice. Servers were friendly and helpful. They bring you three spicy sauces in a container which I loved I will come back. I didn't love some of the stuff on my plate but that's due to personal preference. The grilled pork chop, rice, and perfectly cooked egg were my favorites read more
A modernized restaurant with authentic Vietnamese food! We came during soft opening. The food was legitimately delicious. The pricing might seem a little higher compared to your traditional Vietnamese or pho restaurants, but this place offers quality ingredients and large portion! Be prepared to share or take home some leftover. It's definitely worth the money. The snail with coconut milk is soooo delicious. I just want to bury white rice in the sauce. The noodle soup with pork and sea food has so much ingredients in there including eggplants! The rice dish was also delicious. Totally recommend this place for dates or meeting up with friends! read more

First time at this new spot, very impressed! I was a regular at Queen Bee in Clarendon a million years ago, and eventually switched to Eden Center after Queen Bee closed. I can only speak to the spring rolls (cha gao) and caramelized shrimp, but these were excellent. Tons of flavor, very fresh ingredients, well prepared. I'm here now, and it looks like most of the other diners are Vietnamese. I'll definitely come back to check out more of their menu. (And hopefully they will eventually add banh mi). Welcome to SpringField, Brothers Bistro! read more
This is a nice casual place with delicious pho and other options. The Pho Brothers Dac Biet is pretty large and had a nicely flavored broth.. Banh Hoi Combo Brothers is another great choice and highlights the seafood options seen in some of the other dishes. Good service too, will definitely come back when I'm in Springfield. read more

We ordered the iced Vietnamese coffee, fried spring rolls, pork summer rolls, shaking beef, and pho. The Pho broth lacked depth and flavor, but all other entrees were a 10/10. Definitely recommend the shaking beef and iced coffee! read more

Bun mam noodles taste rancid. It's like it was put in the freezer and then reheated for customers to eat. I felt like I wanted to have diarrhea after eating it. read more
I love love love this place. Food was so good. Oc len xao Dua ( snail in coconut milk) the snails was big and coconut milk was so creamy delicious. Bun man kien giang ( vermicelli rice noodle with shrimp, pork, fish) was so flavorful and had a good amount of topping. Com tam dac biet ( broken rice combination) was good too, tons of topping. Service: they were really nice. Keep refilling our water. Make sure we get everything we need The place is nice and clean. Very spaced. Highly recommended it. read more

I decided to try this spot located in Springfield Plaza. The place was empty when I 1st came in. It appears I caught the staff off guard. I was seated promptly. The staff were eating dinner and were stoic at best. I ordered the shrimp pho soup and spring rolls. I was not offered a drink except water. The rolls came out 1st followed by the pho. Service was quick and efficient. I did take off a star as the spring rolls were greasy. Not drained well. Overall the atmosphere is nice, food is good. I may return to try other dishes. read more

We found this little gem by accident. It is not a fancy place . The restaurant is very clean and spacious. Staff is very friendly and gives very helpful recommendations for dishes. The food are very good and have decent portions. Recommend to come a bit earlier before the busy time to avoid the crowds or make a reservation in advance if you have a big party. read more
