Pizza was was super thin. Sat down at the table the waitress led us to and durning dinner I noticed crumbs under my thighs a ridiculous amount at that. We get the bill and they charged a 18% gratuity fee and also expect you to tip your waitress and there's also a charge for them to process your card. Also when I was walking out my husband had to inform me that there was some type of sauce literally right in the middle of my ass clearly they don't wipe their chairs. Our bill was 61 and change after the gratuity and charge for using a card it came out to 80 and change the food was mediocre at best there wasn't even a lining in the pizza box so grease wouldn't get everywhere read more

I usually really like this pizza place. We typically go before seeing a movie right next door. This evening we had some errands to run so my husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner. He ordered chicken parm which was okay and I had a couple of slices of pizza. The pizza was overloaded with cheese and was not good at all. On top of that they are now automatically adding an 18% gratuity to all checks. I understand when there's a larger party but we were two people. Honestly I never leave 18%. It's always at least 20 or 22% but when you add it automatically, I'm not going to add more. read more

I came here with a large group on a last minute whim. There were 10 of us, including 3 kids under the age of 12. The pizza counter was relatively busy, but there were few other patrons dining in. The waitress seemed extremely bothered by us coming in. She provided pitchers of water, but only provided cups on request. Then, she only brought cups for the individuals who asked, instead of bringing cups for the table. Our party was seated for more than 45 minutes before she came to take our order. We didn't all arrive at the same time, but we requested we put in the pizza order before everyone was there. She left the table and did not return for several minutes. We ordered 3 pizzas, 2 wing plates with fries, a few salads and 2 kids meals. Everyone was happy with the food. The pizza crust was fluffy and soft, yet crispy on the bottom! Delicious! The kids had a ball with the Spongebob sticker vending machine. We enjoyed our family dinner regardless of the poor service. I've been here 3 times or so, recently, and the service is pretty lousy. The owner is just rude and unfriendly. The food is just OK. I hate going into this place because I feel so unwelcome every time I step through the door. The other staff all seem pretty unhappy and I can understand why. This Brother Brunos is in no way affiliated with the one in Washingtonville (the best!!!) or Middletown or Milford, PA. So don't get it confused with other great Brother Bruno's locations. Stay away from this place the last two times I went there they charged 18% gratuity I had one slice of pepperoni pizza n a Merlot charged me $14 I said that's against the law parties of 6 n 8 or more by law they automatically charge 18% and that's at a fine dining restaurant I'm one person getting a slice and a small glass of wine and the guy wouldnt even give me my receipt. Shady business. The first time I went cause I used my credit card I thought maybe cause using my card. This spot is great! Being a city girl who just moved upstate, this is where I go for a true NY style pie. It's thin, not too thin, and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Besides the pizza being absolutely amazing. The staff is super friendly, everyone says hi when you walk in and the girl at the register is super sweet. Was a patron here for the better part of 20 years. New ownership has obviously taken a major step downward. The last 3 times I ordered and went in to pick up my meal, there were multiple employees either not wearing masks or wearing them as chin guards. When the subject was brought up, the attitudes from the employees, particularly the individual cooking the pizza, who seems to believe that their chin is a major entry point for viruses, was astounding. No care whatsoever. Putting aside the incredible selfishness and the total lack of commitment to the safety and well being of both their customers and their employees that they openly and even proudly display...it leaves one to wonder: If they're so willing to throw aside widely accepted and mandatory health requirements to stop the spread of a pandemic that has killed hundreds of thousands of Americans... What other health requirements are they willing to "let go?" I have begun to get my pizza and Italian in Chester from the Rustic Wheelhouse. I write this review as a long time customer. I am completely disappointed with the way the Brother Bruno's staff handled my concerns. I've been going here for YEARS & never had such a dissatisfying experience. I ordered chicken fingers and french fries off the menu. What I got was chicken scraps and french fries. When I called to address my issue with my meal I was told "I'm not corporate I'm a mom and pop shop". Isn't that more of a reason to take care of your customers? The gentleman I spoke with said he would give me "more chicken" the next time I come. Why would I order this again? Instead of de-escalating the situation he was very defensive and argumentative. I was visiting my mom. We ordered a simple mushroom and meatball pizza. After first delivering a half sausage/half pepperoni pie to our table and being told it wasn't ours. They brought us another pie. It didnt look right but because of the dim lighting we each took a bite and it was sausage and meatball. The waitress brought the manager over to show him because apparently he didnt believe we knew the difference between mushroom and sausage. He finally agreed that it was wrong and his solution was to offer to add mushroom to the remaining slices. He apparently is very underqualified when it comes to customer service. Thank God I live in CT with 3 of the top 10 pizza places within 30 minutes of my house. I would avoid this place. read more

Changing owners brought on some new and exciting changes - pizza sauce that is tasteless and cheese that is waxy/inferior. We were shocked with the changes especially when we rated their pizza better than most NYC parlors where Pizza is KING. I have ordered from here a few times for pick-up. We are trying to support local businesses as much we can. The pizza is ok. The problem is the staff is not wearing their masks or any gloves. I asked the man behind the counter why he and the other server were not wearing their masks. He smirked at me, pointed at the mask around his neck, and told me to "have a nice day." No business should be this rude or careless about hygiene in the current climate. Aren't we all in this together? I've been coming here for years ordering pizza, subs and occasionally pasta dishes. The food is very "stable" - meaning it's always fresh and good and never any complaints. For around the local area, I like their pizza the best. It's relatively thin and not too doughy and a decent amount of sauce - not too much not too little. I saw the other 2 "related" reviews and although they may of had an issue, I thought it was too unfair to have 2 people give the same bad rating 8 months apart for the same visit to try to skew the ratings. I have been eating the pizza here for several years and it is with a very heavy heart that I say this restaurant has gone down the tubes. 3 weeks ago I would have given it 5-stars and said it was the best pizza for 20 Miles in any direction-hands-down. Now all I can say is keep looking. They used to use quality ingredients to make delicious pizza from the hands of a master craftsman. Now, under new owners since late February, they are skimping on ingredients to save money and have ABSOLUTELY RUINED the pizza. Without exaggeration it has gone from the best in the area to one of the worst pizza places anywhere. The pizza tastes like every other bad pizza shop because the use the same cheap ingredients as all the other shitty pizzerias. Every single part of the pizza tastes worse! Right from the first bite it screams cheap ingredients: sauce, crust, and cheese all TOTALLY MISS THE MARK. Cheese is that rubbery cheap cheese that you know instantly, the sauce is tangy like some national chain pizza store that advertises during sports events, and the dough is lifeless and tasteless. There is a big difference between thin crust and flat taste and they have sacrificed the delicious thin crust for the disappointing flatness. The ONLY good thing the new owners have done is retained Phil, the veteran pizza-man behind the counter. Sadly, even Phil's considerable talent and 40 years experience can't overcome the crappy ingredients. He's very talented, but he's not a magician and even the best furniture-maker can't build a masterpiece if you give him cardboard instead of wood. It's a crime to hamstring such a talented pizza maker by giving him crap ingredients. What a waste of potential. I am literally sad and it's so bad that I won't be going back. What a travesty!!!! We just came from Bruno's in Chester, our very favorite place for Italian heroes, and am shocked!! They have changed everything! Mind you, we've been coming here for 10+ years, husband is from Brooklyn- he compares Bruno's heroes to even theirs! The bread is different, the ham is salty, the cheese has no flavor and the dressing has changed. I just have to ask WHY? We can only assume they have changed hands ... because the other guys would Never agreed to such degrading changes. Please bring back the most loved recipes of the "original" Brother Bruno's pizza! I have been a long time customer of this Pizzeria having grown up in the Chester area. Lately they have changed management and let me tell you- all the changes are for the better. Everything we have gotten from here lately is absolutely delicious- pizzas, sandwiches, salads. I highly recommend anyone to get their dinner from here and see for yourself. A co~worker and myself ordered the " Chicken " fingers and fries and we were shocked by what we were given.The first thing we noticed was the "Chicken " looked like flat pieces of oddly shaped things covered in breadcrumbs.The smell was the second thing we noticed because it smelled like seafood, so at first we thought it was fish.We dared each other to take a bite..and man it was gross! I couldnt swallow it because of the taste and texture.For a second we thought we were on " Fear Factor" We didnt even bother to complain about it or ask for a refund.
