I would like to see the drive up staff be more friendly. I've had them walk up to my car and not even say a word. After putting the items in my car, I've also had them not say thank you or even acknowledge you. The inside staff is quite different. The ladies at the register are very nice! Now, it has its own space in a strip mall with parking in front and a pick up door for large purchases out back (i.e. no more hauling things through the mall!) We stop in here for a number of reasons. Whenever my wife wants to change the decoration in a room, she usually stops in just to see if they have a piece or two that may finish the look, add to the appeal of the room. On other occasions, like today, I was in the area and realized I hadn't been in for awhile. They turn over the inventory frequently, so it seems that there is always something new to look at. Yet there is still a familiarity when I walk in. There is a lamp section, an art section, pillows and candles and lots of knick knacs and clocks. There are also groups of unusual things, some of them seasonal that are new each time. I guess the appeal is that no matter how often we go, we find something new. Similar to other Big Lots locations you'll find an indoor and outdoor furniture section (the patio furniture was especially intriguing), non-perishable food items like cake mixes, canned beans, and pickled beets, cleaning supplies, outdoor decor, etc. The decor items aren't mind blowing but the pots for indoor and outdoor plants are where it's at! I won't lie, perusing the snack section is also quite fun (and random). Last but not least the staff here was friendly. The space could use a little update but it wouldn't stop me from retiring.

The two restored traffic lights were a great deal and my husband always checks out traffic lights. They have all the usual sales here, buy 3 get 2 free, plus endless coupons, and other sales, so no one ever actually pays full price as far as I can tell. They don't always have all products in all scents, but this might be more of a product line issue than a store issue. It is a little random in terms of what scents have tester bottles out; it is definitely not all of them at this location, so I usually end up getting scents I'm already familiar with. Staff are typically friendly here and always offer to help and point out sales. I do like that they will leave customers alone though if you say you don't need help. Other than at the holidays this location is usually not super busy so no line to check out!
