I have three young children who are growing like weeds, Shoppers World helps me keep them looking adorable without going broke. In the summer they have a cute selection of sandals for girls and boys. I like the fact that you can get mobile coupons. All you have to do is send a text right from your smartphone and you'll begin saving even more money right away. Compared to other Burlingtons, this one isn't as large. They carry a variety of options but it didn't seem as well stocked. I found a pair of jeans I wanted to try on. Fitting rooms were not open in the back, but they have 2 up front and the door was unlocked to one of them. A lady working knocked while I was in there and told me to make sure I lock the door after I'm done, so you probably have to ask a worker for a fitting room. The jeans fit great so I purchased them. No one was at the checkout line so it was very fast. I paid $15 for the jeans which was a really good deal compared to the retail price.

I look at him like wtf. He literally had been following me around. When I walked out I simply said I can pay for what I want and smiled and walked out. I swore I would never go in there again. Today I was looking for something to wear for Easter and I broke down and go. Women's shoes are near the entrance, it's hard not to stop here first. I browsed around and found a few pieces I wanted to try on. The fitting room in the back was open, a lady worker was attending to it. I'm not sure if there was a limit, but I tried on 8 things. Nothing was good enough for me to purchase, so I handed her everything I didn't want. I didn't purchase anything at this visit. The location of this Ross is convenient for me and I'm glad they had the fitting room open, it's a lot better when I can try things on and see how they fit before purchasing. I'm sure I'll be back at some point, because Ross has fair pricing.

We frequent Macy's a lot when needing to get clothes for occasions. They have multiple entrances, so parking usually isn't an issue here. The mall can get really busy during holidays, so it may be harder to find parking during these times. The entrance by the ladies/junior section has a women's restroom conveniently located by the fitting room. I have used this restroom often, and it's usually clean. Macy's sale racks are worth checking out. I found a cute sweater dress marked down for $22 that was on last act that I purchased. Original price was $80. I love a good sale. Fitting rooms are available in many of the departments, so that's never an issue. Most of the workers are helpful. This location also has a whole area for Macy's Backstage which is more clearance/marked down items. The downstairs is divided up behind interior walls and the signage above the wide arch doorways directs you to the various sub departments. Walking into the store, one cannot help but smell all the pleasurable fragrances in their vast perfume areas. The store is bright, inviting and absolutely sparkles. Eventually I found the men's department up the escalator on the second floor. I was also looking for the "boys" department or young men's area but never found a specific area with those smaller sizes for teen boys. The sizing on pajamas has grown out of portion for a normal size person. Think of the swimming trunks for men these days. Some of them go down to your calves. I wear a large size in clothing. The small size of pajamas is like wearing a tent. The pants were a foot too long and the cuff of the long sleeves of the shirt went six inches past my wrist. This is why I was looking for young men sizes but they probably don't wear the matching pajamas style anymore. The did have a sale on the pajamas I did find. They were really marked down compared to other department stores. But not enough to offset the alterations costs for me.

Southern Plaza is showing its age despite some efforts at renovation. There's an intriguing blending together of lifestyle shops, retail, and a few dining options, however, gone are the days when I would start wheeling at one end of the shopping center and keep shopping until I hit the other end. What's here now? Goodwill has a thrift store here along with one of their Excel Center spots (education). Oak Street Health is here along with ComDent Dental. There's a Great Clips and a couple other businesses dedicated to health and/or lifestyle. There's still a Kroger in a side outlot. There's an AMC Theatre on the backside of the shopping center that also has an IMAX. I would note it's an older theater and not particularly wheelchair friendly, however, I still make my way out here on occasion. Harbor Freight Tools is pretty cool. Dining options include El Azabache. There's a Steak n' Shake, Bert & Den's Grille, a Wing Street, and a couple other places. Dining in Southern Plaza used to be much nicer, though for the most part the nicer options have either gone under or departed. The good news here is that accessible parking is plentiful, curb cuts are great, and the overall sidewalk surface is relatively flat and easy for those with mobility impairments. This is open-air, of course, however, storefronts are pretty well protected. I don't stop in here nearly as much as I used to, though I'll still check it out when I'm around. I likely visit the movie theatre the most followed by Goodwill, Harbor Freight, and the Kroger. While Southern Plaza is no longer a destination shopping center, it's right by the highway and easily serves as a pretty decent neighborhood retail center with a strong variety of shopping and dining options.

There is also a storage unit, in case you buy way too much stuff, haha. Around the corner is an AMC Imax theater, which I did not know, also belongs to the Southern Plaza Shopping Center.
