I just happened to be home that day and after letting me know when he there, he did his thing and I caught him on the way out and asked him to help me with a heavy box I had delivered. You will end up paying monthly four a bimonthly service, which in fact doubles the quoted amount. Do not do business with these people, i'm stuck in a contract that I did not agree to that I did not sign and they have access to my credit card to charge me whenever they feel they can. My bad for hiring the first pest control company that I called. Over a week ago I called Brooks because I saw a mouse in my kitchen. I had to pay $175 and lock in for 18 months at $59 per month. They came the next day (sad face) and laid 6 sticky traps ($12 value) in the kitchen. I had work done in my livingroom a few days later. Mouse poop was found under my couch. I have looked for and closed several potential openings. Why didn't the service guy look for any of that housewide? I have since purchased more sticky traps and other deterrents and poison. I haven't seen the mouse but we hear it! To cancel Brooks service it will cost me another $175 dollars. That's at least $350 dollars to Brooks for inadequate service! DO NOT USE BROOKS!!! I signed up for a 1-year agreement specifically to control rodents, but I saw no improvement--rodent activity continued and my property was still damaged. The biggest issue is how they operate after the contract term: there's no simple online cancellation, and the service continues and billing continues unless you cancel in writing/call. That feels designed to keep charging customers instead of earning renewal. There was also no clear confirmation or reminder before continued service, and they can show up when you're not around--so you can't even verify the quality of work being done. I agree with the other 1-star reviews; my experience was very much the same. The first guy did a decent job (I assume, I never had a pest control company before), the woman who came a month after him was on my property for maybe five minutes, at most. I saw that she had cleared spider webs, but there was no evidence of the other things she was supposed to have done and she had already left when I went out to let her into the back yard. Poor quality, low value. I learned from a neighbor that you MUST cancel your service before the third visit, or they'll charge that enormous cancellation fee - so I did. Never use. Horrible Customer Service. Bad service. The first person that came out did a great job and after that it was mediocre. The last couple times, seems like they did nothing at all because there were still bugs and ants after they came. Meanwhile, I moved and with working long hours and moving and my brother passing away, I forgot to cancel my account. I sent an email because I work 6am to 6pm or later sometimes and I cannot call during my working hours. I was told that my cancellation was noted. I was charged twice since I moved. I finally got some time to call and cancel and when I asked for a refund for the last two bills since I don't live there anymore, they said that it is not their policy to refund anyone regardless of how horrible the service was. I will never use them again and never recommend anyone to use them. This company is just a scam and should not be in business. It started with a phone call, Collin moved heaven and earth to not only facilitate me, even when I canceled the contract for one that served my needs. But they went above and beyond to secured me a better deal. Finally the young man came to my house, promptly 9:00AM and browsed the perimeter, started spraying, then the same for the interior and trapping for mouse infestation. We had two mouse cosying up in the back of my pantry , the spice rack and under my oven. Mind you I keep a very clean house, but these little pest think they can go through holes from my backyard to the connecting pipes in my home. Well Brooks served then real good!!! lol. By the time the nice and respectful young man left I heard a commotion in my pantry, thinking the noise is coming from birds making a racket as always in the morning. Lo and behold my head snaps down, and what do I see in the back of my trapped in is a itty bitty mouse. People!! Brooks does it well and I will be seeing them once a month. After that they kept billing monthly service however I never saw them again and that was fine. I'm a senior citizen and maybe they thought EZ prey. They consistently fail to contact (once we turned him away), and even when proof of initiating the bill pay, they keep calling for payment. One "service", he did very little spray application. They were incapable of following scheduling instructions, they did not add or read notes about my account. I almost went with this company because it did sound like a good deal when it was presented to me by the door salesman Jack. But I spoke to my current provider and they were able to offer me the same but for less. Plus I don't like to be on a contract. I specifically asked the salesman if it was a contract because I don't like contracts and he said " we just like for you to give us a full 12 months but that's it really". When he sent me the form to sign it was indeed a contract for 12 months. I also looked up the company and saw that the salesmen can get ugly if you decline and they are not BBB.
