Just went here to get some wine and the person helping me was so rude and condescending. He basically made fun of the wine I like because they don't carry it which immediately turned me off. I walked away from him and followed me and began to point out the flaws of every wine I was looking at. It was so uncomfortable because it was unwarranted. I never asked for his help he just came up to which was so weird. He mentioned the wine he liked the most was the was that was 60 dollars a bottle. Never coming back here. read more

Excellent customer service! I shopped at Red White & Bubbly last month when I wanted to pick up some wine. The lady at the register recommended different wines for me. There was also a wine tasting going on so I was able to try new wines. I'll definitely shop here again if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

This place makes me happy. They have the nicest staff, a variety of wine and liquor and a layout that encourages browsing. I am not a sommelier by any stretch of the imagination and they never once made me feel stupid. One great buy was a vodka made with maple syrup that was tasty. read more

Fantastic experience! For the longest time I thought this place was just a wine store but they have everything-wine, champagne and hard liquor! I was able to get a great recommendation on a bottle of champagne for a friend (it was a great hit). The customer service is the best part-absolutely phenomenal! read more

Totally fine...they have a large selection of wine, but I went in hoping to find some Mead. They were less than helpful, and didn't have any. The staff was very ...blah. Not interested in helping out, but they weren't overly aggressive either. Maybe if I were looking for a wine it might be a different story...very well lit and nice shop though! read more

Fantastic liquor shop! Great selection and great knowledgeable, friendly staff. They have everything you could possibly want and at a fair price. Love it! read more

I love this wine shop--by far my favorite in Park Slope, and maybe my favorite in the city. The selections here are very different--very few bottles you've likely heard of, but all are affordable, and I've yet to have a bottle here that wasn't wonderful, and didn't taste like it cost far more than it's $10-$20 price tag. Interesting, eclectic selections, for a great price--I love it. I haven't had to deal with the staff much here, but they generally seem to be helpful enough, and not pushy--nor do they try to upsell you, which is always appreciated. I also love the wine tastings they do every Friday. I've found several wonderful bottles this way that I'd likely have otherwise missed. Give this place a shot. Maybe not the place to go to if you're looking for a specific bottle, but if you're looking for a great wine for a good price, this place can't be beat. read more

This place has an ok wine selection and a terrible selection of everything else. The employees have clearly all been trained to greet you (sometimes a gauntlet of five people each getting in your way and asking if you need anything) and endlessly bother you while you browse. The worst part is the pricing -- you can get pretty much everything there for 15% to 20% cheaper a few blocks up 5th at the place off Sterling. Seriously, the markups are crazy. On the plus side -- they're open Sundays. read more

This is my favorite wine shop in Brooklyn. Sure the prices are great and the selection is terrific, however I am more impressed with the staff. Everyone I have encountered there is so very well versed with wine and happy to help those of us not as well versed. I actually call up and tell them what I am looking for and they pick out the case. In the 4 years I have lived in Brooklyn I have been patronizing this shop.....they nail it every time. Edna the manager is a rock star as far as I am concerned. She is so smart and so not full of herself despite the fact that she is gorgeous and like I said smart. I often call and tell them what I want to spend and what I am looking for and they go to work. They deliver and you get a 10% discount on any case you purchase. I was inspired to write this after reading a complaint from someone annoyed because he wanted a replacement bottle of wine for a bottle he had poured down the drain and put in the trash. He complained about the staff and the store policy. I thought it was common knowledge if you have a corked bottle of wine you return it and it is replaced. The idea of showing up at a retail wine store and expecting to be handed a bottle of wine because you have a picture of the wine bottle is laughable. More specifically it would be a poor business practice. I will end this rant with my compliments to the entire team at Red White and Bubbly. read more

not sure about the brooklyn wine made from sonoma grapes but i guess half the stuff in brooklyn is made from california or by californians but other than that, solid wine selection. enough that my knowledge was tapped out read more

Used to be my go-to place for recommendations and tastings. My most recent experience indicates a change in management or ownership or something. When I asked for a specific wine, a worker went to the shelves looking like I could have done myself! And the Asian cashier thinks she is doing you a favor. Plenty of other, better priced places in the area. read more

This is the best neighborhood wine shop I've ever been in. They have frequent tastings and all the employees are knowledgeable in a humble non-wine-snob way. It seems like they really are informed and have helped a total wine ignoramus (such as me) come a long way towards developing a taste for different wines. Tons of variation, lots of selection and bottles for all price ranges. What more could you ask? read more

What I like about this place is that you can have fun with trying wines. They have a big selection of reasonably priced wines - so you just want to go and try something new with out spending a ton. Great place to find some new fun bottles to come back to! read more

I once evoked the visible ire of a woman standing in line behind me here because I was discussing with a time, years earlier, when I'd ill-advisedly consumed the better part of a 1.5-liter and then barfed with the force of a rapidly-deflating water balloon. Uncomfortable with the frank, earthy conversation upon which she'd eavesdropped, the woman's clenched jaw stiffened in a way usually observed only on the faces of indignant European aristocrats and tetanus sufferers. Clearly this Park Slope parent was one of the many who is flakin' and perpetratin' but scared to kick reality. The wine selection here seems nice, though, but I'm no gourmand. Frankly I was a little upset that they don't sell liquor in pints. read more

Excellent service. I recently bought a bottle of wine to take to a party there After ringing up my purchase, a salesman named Mike noticed that I was fumbling with my gift bag and other parcels, trying to put things together before heading to the subway. Tactfully, he lent me a pen so I could sign the greeting card (which I'd bought elsewhere), produced some tissue paper for wrapping the gift, and otherwise helped me assemble my gift and myself. read more

Place keeps me laced up! ...burp!

I usually go to Sip because I've always felt that the wine selection is a bit more unique; and to be completely honest I've always thought that the style of Red White & Bubbly was a little corporate, almost. Today, while taking my dog out for a walk in the rain, we reached Sip only to find it was closed; so headed to R,W, &B. and as I'm tying my dog up to the post outside the patron opens the door and said, "Bring him in, we have treats!" This is a soaking wet dog mind you. I said that to her and she was completely cool. So I brought him in, the girl behind the counter was also super friendly and tossed my boy Desmond a biscuit. I took him around, found the wine I wanted, they bid us a super friendly farewell and off we went. I was pretty stoked to find such a dog friendly wine shop and then reflected on all of the times I had been there while there were wine tastings going on and how their hours tend to be a little longer too. Why isn't this place my first stop? It probably will be from now on. read more

Kudos to this lovely place for being the only shop in Park Slope and one of the very few in NYC to stock Danue Passion Fruit Wine from Israel - a family favorite! read more

The first time I went in, they were very friendly and helpful. The second time I went in I felt stupid for approaching the open cashier, who never acknowledged my existence. Please have consistent customer service especially since your prices are greater than the usual park slope mark up; other small businesses in Park Slope have great customer service. read more

My go to spot for booze and wine. Solid selection and very knowledgable staff. Recommendations have been on point every time especially for red wines and scotch, but I'm sure this applies to everything else in the store. read more

There's liquor and wine shops and then there's Red White & Bubbly. They set themselves apart from not only having very competitive if not the best prices for wine and champagne, but their service. We're still in awe about how out of the way their staff and Edna have gone to make our wedding great. We are grateful and thankful that a local wine shop knows what it means to be friendly and customer service focused. It really makes a difference when planning a big event and needing a lot of champagne and wine! Edna was wonderful to work with and spent a lot of time helping us pick the best wines for our occasion and on top of that, they worked with our budget. In addition, she spent time determining quantities needed to take the guess work out of the ordering. Now we just have to wait to uncork all those bottles! If planning a big (or small) event, consider this store as it made all the difference in helping find the right wines and champagne for all our family and friends. read more

This is the best place to go for your wine. Not only are the staff helpful and knowledgeable, but they're always friendly and ready to help you. This is great for me because sometimes I find wine shopping a little overwhelming. They know it all like the back of their hand. This is always my go to place for wine and drink suggestions whether it's for dinner in or for a special occasion. They even deliver! read more

I want to give a higher rating if it wasn't for two things, first though I'll give the good. Amazing selection and an extremely knowledgeable staff. I come in here a lot, buy both wine and spirits here. They carry one of my favorite inexpensive vodkas, "Wodka" for a great price. The best thing is there's someone doing a wine tasting almost every time I'm there and almost always I'll buy a bottle from there selection. Okay so the bad, I do go a lot and I would appreciate some sort of non generic greeting when I walk in, I know your face you know mine, I spend a good deal of $$ & time here, but more importantly I think some sort of customer appreciation should be in order. Maybe a stamp card, a free bottle for every 10 bottles a customer purchases? Park Slope is a neighborhood, "buybacks" from your favorite neighborhood wine & spirit shop would be great. Not too long ago they hired a new employee, don't know her name, blonde, late 30's early 40's maybe, she's more cold then their coldest white wine! She may know her wines, if you engage her but customer service is far on the lacking scale. 10/3/12, I walked in straight from the subway, had to pee quite bad, but held it long enough to do a wine tasting, liked the wine, picked up my "Wodka" asked for the tasting's white then asked to use their bathroom. She knows my face, I've spoken with her before, I just didn't stumble off the streets, she looks at me, pauses then decides to ring me in first before telling me where their bathroom is, while pushing my purchase to the side, as if I my entire plan was to "act" like a customer just to use the facilities then leave my selection on the counter without making my purchase! Either get rid of this employee or give her some lessons in customer service, she's the worst! read more

This is the good wine store in Park Slope. Or Brooklyn, for that matter. What do you really look for in a wine shop? People who know what they're talking about. Great selection, not at all expensive. If you know what you want, they're great. If you don't, they're still great. If you can't make it to Acker Merrill or Sherry Lehman, you'll be happy here. read more

This is my local wine store. I want to like it, but the staff is aloof, distant, cold, how may I describe it further? I have been going there for ten years and I know everyone's name, do they know mine? I ask for a particular Rose and they say they don't carry it, but don't provide recommendations on another. Every time I come in to the store it feels a bit hostile. read more

OMG! What a delightful shop! Red White & Bubbly is what a wine should be!! Don't expect to find a bottle of Yellowtail there. Red White & Bubbly prides itself to educate the customer. Like Loew's Wine & Spirits, they make wines fun like it should be. read more

Generally this is an OK store, but I sometimes find they are missing that price point that is the approximately $12-15 bottle. I often find a bunch of everyday cheaper selections in the front, and then in the aisles a lot of expensive stuff, but not much in between. read more

Very informative, welcoming staff. I do feel the selection could be larger.I often come in with something in mind that they don't always have. The upside is,they always have a great alternative. read more

Why bother selling liquor if all you're going to stock is either super expensive or low-end crapola? I know nothing of their wine selection since I stay faithful to my South Slope vendors for that, but I've looked for brandy and triple sec in a pinch here and came out empty-handed and frustrated with the lack of help and selection. read more

Super friendly and convenient. They have a great variety at many different price points. A lot of the time they'll have tastings too which is fun to try out. Plus, they always have dog treats, so it's quickly become one of my dog's favorite places to stop. read more

Used to really like this place, it depends on who's working. I love the woman who I assume is the owner, she is very helpful. Her daughter on the other hand is not. Recently I went in and asked the daughter for some help and she told me she was on break and wasnt willing to help me (prob shouldnt take your break by the register then). I also asked whens a good day to get boxes because I needed some for storage and was rude and told me she has no idea. Overall the place is a little pricy but great selection, just dont expect much help. This place has horrible customer service other than the one lady. read more

Great selection, but it's overpriced (beyond the expected Park Slope markup). Others have mentioned helpful staff but they must've been off when I went in - how long do you have to look around and pick up bottles for the two people working in an empty store to come ask if you have questions etc.? Wouldn't recommend it. read more

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about wine. I collect wine from all over. I send wine to my friends as gifts and the staff is usually very helpful and patient with me whenever I am trying to decide what to give. Its also helpful that they follow you around and just let you choose and at the same time available to help whenever you need it. read more

Wow, this place has really gone downhill. I used to come here all the time when Darin and Edna were around, but stopped coming when I moved to South Slope. I was in the neighborhood and stopped in for a bottle of wine on Monday and it's turned into a big label craptastic wine store. Either that or $50 bottles. The kind of store you go to if you like big Australian wines with a kangaroo on the label or a liter of Stoli Vanilla. What a shame. This neighborhood is going to crap. read more
