The exterior and interior were both very beautiful and remind me shops that I've visited while in NYC. I ordered the #18 which was smoked turkey, cheddar, spinach, pears and garlic mayo. WOW! That's the first word that came to kind after my first bite. This was easily one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten in my life!!! Everything was perfect right down to the freshly baked French bread, delicious! The staff were all so kind. Even during their rush hour they didn't skip a beat and handled every customer with kindness.

It seems like they mostly do take out but they have a handful of tables in and outside. They have an everyday menu behind the register and a specials menu on a chalk board when you walk in. There are classic deli sandwiches and wraps with some more unique items as well. Very casual, good for a quick lunch. Couldn't resists the Boulangerie Raspereno, a great mix of sweet, salty, and just a little spice. I thought it was a well portioned sandwich, with chips I could eat half and save half but would happily eat the whole thing too. The french bread tasted super fresh,a nice light crust with a softer interior. Grabbed a raspberry shortbread cookie that was a touch over baked but nonetheless yummy.

Sammy's NYC Deli and Grill opens early & stays open late. (6 AM during the week/8 AM on the weekend. 10 PM or later every night.) Looking for a quick bite with variety and generous servings? Sammy's NYC Deli delivers on the essentials. The name pays homage to the Big Apple, (where the owner has two other deli establishments) but doesn't have typical New York City prices, crowds, or rushed NYC edge! Instead, you're greeted by genuinely friendly staff eager to help with the ordering. Sammy's seems to operate primarily as a high-volume takeout spot, perfectly suited for grabbing a quick, freshly made lunch on the go. The team working the grill & fryer moves fast, making it a reliable pick when you need quick service without sacrificing quality. Here is what really stands out: The serving sizes are generous across the board. You definitely get your money's worth, making the overall value hard to beat. My Italian sub was so large, it was lunch for two days in a row. It came with 6 chicken wings in the flavor of my choice. The garlic parm were very tasty, but just a bit bready. Another item ordered was a double Smashburger and it was excellent! Came with lots of melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, crispy french fries and a soda for around $20. The menu spans a wide array of options, so whether you're in the mood for a packed deli sandwich, a warm hot dish, a salad, or even breakfast , everything tastes fresh and is made-to-order. If there is one area that could use a little streamlining, it's the number of combo specials, which can be a little confusing. Trimming down or simplifying those descriptions would make ordering even smoother. All in all, Sammy's NYC Deli is a great Main St., North Syracuse spot for takeout (or DoorDash, GrubHub or Uber eats ) top-tier friendliness, huge fresh portions, and great value that leaves both your wallet and your appetite satisfied.

When my partner and I walked in, we were greeted by a man at the counter and mentioned it was our first time visiting. His response was about as uninterested as it gets. Instead of offering a menu or any guidance, he simply pointed off to the side and told us to order when we were ready. Not exactly a welcoming first impression. The space itself was small, with a few tables, drink coolers, baked goods, and smoothie options. After placing our order, we waited...and waited. After exactly 40 minutes, I finally asked about the status, especially after watching another couple come in after us, order, and leave with their food before we received ours. I understand that takeout and delivery orders are part of the business, but in-house customers should not be completely overlooked. There was no communication, no sense of urgency, and no effort to acknowledge the delay. It genuinely felt like we didn't matter as customers. And for what? Two sandwiches--a roast beef and a turkey. Having worked in restaurants myself, I can confidently say that should not take 40 minutes under normal circumstances. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. We will not be returning. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.

The place was bustling, all seats taken, people standing waiting on their order, and others dashing in for their carry out orders. There's good reason for that, the food, the coffee, the service, the vibe was all excellent. Inside is clean, simply decorated, and everything from the food to the kitchen is visible. It's simply part of the decor. We purchased some bagels from the previous day, some breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The coffee was bold, rich and fresh. The bagels delicious, all of the sandwich parts cooked to perfection. There's a friendly, warm vibe inside that extends from the staff and is entrenched in the food and coffee. Just a fantastic place for bagels and, I have to admit, NY bagels are next level. If you're in Syracuse, I highly recommend you make sure you make Water Street Bagel one of your stops.

The place was packed because it was the weekend but we were able to sit pretty quickly because we don't mind sitting at the counter. The service was fine just again it was packed & the waitresses were trying their best so it took a little bit of time for some things but in a very realistic & understandable way. My meat lovers omelette was okay. It was kind of just an egg with a bunch of meat bits in pouring out which isn't bad. Again I know they were packed but just the tiniest bit more intention would have been appreciated on that plate. The cheesecake French toast special blew my flippin' mind. That was possibly the single best French toast I've ever had. The way the cheesecake element was incorporated was almost like a sauce poured over the French toast. The fresh strawberries, whipped cream & graham cracker dusting made me feel like I was eating a piece of cheesecake but in a whole new way. I would go back just if I knew that French toast was on special again.
