I love this part of Brooklyn. People will run you down if you're going too slow without so much as a backwards glance. (Well, I mean, not anymore- people are attempting social distancing and much better with masks as they should be worn than other parts of the city... like the West Village...) Large variety of shops and stalls to get all kinds of shopping done. I mostly get food. Okay, always get food. I make it a rule to always get one thing I have no idea what it is and learn about it. Great prices, especially if you're used to the rest of the city. Got 9 blue crabs for dinner today for $ 15- good, heavy crabs too. It does pay to shop around for produce and meat- different vendors can have drastically different prices and quality. Is it "as good as" Manhattan's Chinatown? It often represents different parts of and cultures within China, so it's hard to/not fair to compare. But it's a stop away on the N for me, so, I'll keep coming here for my fresh groceries! (And treats. I have an epic sweet tooth.)

    That's my view lol!!

Three Guys now has a parking lot kiddie corner from their store. For those unfamiliar with the…read moreterm, it means diagonally across the street intersection. It used to be a gas station, and still has some of the hardware. I haven't used their rewards system since the first rewards FOB dried up and broke off my keychain 8 or 9 years ago. I am not sure what the deals are that you get with the scanning of the rewards card, but I know you sign up online before going there. it's kinda outdated. I should get a new one. This is a great 24 hour produce store. Circus Fruits is nearby, but generally these types of all night local grocers are rare finds.

They have a weekly circular and it does not state any limits on produce. When you get to the actual store front, there is a limitation. There was an avocado limit at one point. If you didn't purchase a certain amount, you could not buy the avocados at the sale price. But it's not written in every language and even the English was not understandable. This week is 3 for $2.00 oranges. But your only allowed 3. Doesn't mention it anywhere so if you even had an extra bag of oranges, they will take it back. I work in a school, and have done bulk orders for festive events. They gave us less than the amount ordered but were able to fix it. That situation was stressful only because it involved kids. And since it was a mistake of the store, they needed to cater to our timing for the event which they almost weren't able to. They did fix the problem but with much hassle. Overall, the store is decent. Workers are alright. Certain things could be better.
