But it has been in business serving the community since 1959! If you come on a nice Sunny afternoon, it is jammed packed with seniors shopping in the area. And surprisingly it has a decent collection of kitchenware. BBQ seems to be their expertise. They also provides both sales and services to bbq. I drop by here occasionally if I shopping or eating in the plaza but it is A-OK for something small or you are an Aeroplan point collector!

This BBQ works great, it is at our cottage, and it has not been used that much. When we went to change our propane tank in July 2025, we noticed the doors that open there are lined with a hard plastic. This plastic is all melting. None of our other BBQ's had plastic inside these doors. We did not notice it as we had not needed to change our propane tank. We reached out to the store and they said that since it is past a year, we need to contact Napoleon - which we did try to do. Spent over an hour on two tries to get through to customer service. Then tried on line with no response. My husband called the Aurora store and spoke with the BBQ person - they then submitted our claim. That was August 6 - no word back yet. Not very happy. We thought shopping at a local Canadian store and buying a Canadian BBQ would be the best. But not happy. I have some good pictures of the melting doors if anyone wants to see them. We would like metal doors for this BBQ. We have been looking at BBQ's now when we are out and they all have metal doors - just like our old BBQ's.

Rona Uxbridge is the closest yard to my main site, which should make them my go-to. It does not. The gap between them and Home Depot has gotten too big to ignore. At Home Depot I have actual people I deal with by phone and email. They know me, they know what I usually order, and they help me build out the order before I even get there. They chase down better pricing, suggest alternatives when something is back-ordered, throw in discounts where they can, and waive delivery on the bigger jobs. That kind of relationship saves me hours every week and a meaningful amount of money over the year. Rona has been the opposite. Most of the staff are green and clearly have not been trained properly. Ask about something that is not sitting right in front of them and you usually get a shrug, a vague point at an aisle, and that is the end of it. Nobody checks stock, nobody offers an alternative, nobody follows up. Their system for pricing and product info is a mess to navigate, and there is no real contractor desk to speak of. I have read other reviews from local contractors saying the same thing, so I know it is not just me. There are one or two good ones in there who clearly care and know their stuff, but they cannot carry the whole store. It is frustrating because the location is great and the yard itself has potential. Proximity only matters if I can actually get in and out without losing half my morning. Until they put real effort into training their team and building out proper contractor support, I will keep driving the extra distance. If you are a homeowner grabbing a few odds and ends, you will probably be fine. If you are running a business and your time is money, you already know where to go.

Brought my grandmother there to pick out paint for her bathroom. The people in the paint department…read morewere friendly. We joked with them while we waited for the paint to mix. We also needed white paint for the ceiling. The bathroom is only 5x8, but the don't sell small cans of it, we had to buy a whole gallon. The person that helped us said we should get the same type of paint for the ceiling. So, that was $45/can x 2 for a small bathroom. My grandmother can't walk too far, so they checked us out at the customer service desk by the paint dept. While I got the car, someone brought out the paint for us. Very helpful people!
