As far as the 1990's era "malls" go, Brookfield Square has quite a bit of selection. They've updated the outside of the mall a bit in the last decade with some restaurants and businesses that have their own special facade so the building looks more interesting from the outside. Some of the big box department stores in Brookfield Square, like JCP and Sears, seem to be struggling a bit. There are a couple of empty stores, but not that many. It has everything that you may need, if what you need are the basics. The food court is pretty good. I think the "star" description that Yelp gives three stars is pretty spot on with this one. Great place to shop and gather. Centrally located in Brookfield. Easy access to I94 Hwy. Has great restaurants and bookstore for hanging out. Great atmosphere and all the stores you need from your infant to your teen and grandparents. read more

I love this mall!! It has all my favorite stores in 1 place, it is clean, safe, and people are super friendly! I do 2 major shopping days per year, and Brookfield Square is where I spend those days!! Great food court restaurants too!! read more

Be warned that the building does not have security cameras outside or in main areas of the mall. The stores themselves may have surveillance, but only in the stores. You are on your own in the parking lot. The security is virtually non-existent. This mall only emphasizes merchandise safety, and does nothing to promote customer safety. read more

The kiosk venders suck, but those are at any mall with this kind of traffic. It doesn't hurt to say 'No, thank you'.

This is a good mall for the average shopping trip. I like the Old Navy there, I love the Cinnabon and Five Guys. Victoria's Secret is large and has a great selection. I like that there is a Barnes and Noble even though I don't really frequent it... I just like to know it is there... you know, women and their ever changing moods. However, where it falls short for me: small H&M, small Gap, and parking is sometimes a bit ridiculous when it is busy. I guess I figure for a smaller mall than some of the others, the parking wouldn't be as big of an issue... but it always seems like I have to park miles away from the nearest door because there just aren't that many entrances. This is one of my favorite malls in the area. It's a big mall and spread out nicely enough where you don't feel crowded and running into people even on a busy weekend. There's a ton of parking. The food isn't limited to food court options, there's a lot of restaurants to choose from that will suit the needs of families, couples, and groups of friends. My favorites are Cooper's Hawk and Bravo Italiano. They have recently added Blackfinn Ameripub and I look forward to trying this location, as I've tried a location in Austin, TX and loved it. As far as stores, there is a wide range from large department stores at each end of the mall to everything you could dream of in between. Your mall staples like American Eagle, to sports stores, boutiques, jewelry stores, etc. My favorite thing to do is the $10 chair massages outside of Kay Jewelers :) read more

Brookfield square is pretty nice now. Clean pretty decent store selection. decent food places. better than most malls in teh area.

A nice mall. Medium in size. A good variety of stores. Clean. A nice food court. Several other restaurants around outside. Plenty of parking. Mostly on one level, a couple of stores have a upstairs . A good shopping experience. read more

This mall is very friendly and full of honest and helpful employees. I lost a bag of merchandise last weekend. Can you actually believe I got it back? After returning home, I couldn't find my bag from H&M! I thought of all the places I stopped and shopped before leaving the mall and I called each of these stores. All the associates at each store offered to help me. They really went out of their way. Ultimately, JcPenny had my bag! They had it safe behind the women's counter and told me they'd hold it for whenever I could come back in to claim it. When I did go back to get my bag, the salesperson would not take a tip. I'm blown away with the honesty and helpfulness from Bath and Body Works, H&M, Express and especially JcPenny! And, btw I left the bag at JCPENNY bc I was holding so many clothes to try on. i felt like that after blackFriday i needed to write a review, i think this mall is prety out of date and the way things went on BlackFriday i dont think i will ever ever ever return. all the doors should have been open at the same time not one door at a time which caused me to miss out on a deal that i was waiting since 8 for cause they opened other doors before they opened the one i was at, they should have been opened all at the same time, plus the stores at Brookfield square are not that great the only good store is H&M but they have very select merchandise since i will never return to this mall i will do my H&M shopping online or at the Chicago store which is ten time better. read more
