And CONSTANT (and dishonest) nickel and diming to death. One month they insisted that my elderly parent living there needed a "2-3 person assist" to get around. That was fine. The next month, they insisted that my parent, somehow (with the same alleged 2-3 person assist) kept trying to escape and needed to go into infinitely more expensive memory care, so I asked them why the 2-3 people assisting them were helping my parent to escape? And could they please stop that? Magically after that, my elderly parent didn't need a 2-3 person assist anymore and no longer needed memory care. It was a "miracle!"

Having worked in just about every medical discipline, including an SNF, and can identify issues. I did find one. Our friend has a nice 1 bedroom apartment which included a large entryway with a kitchenette. There was enough room for a small dining table and chairs. Additionally, there was a separate living room and separate bedroom. Their check in process takes a couple of minutes and each visitor must register Our friend likes the staff and says the food is pretty good. The bottom line is: I highly recommend this place!!

Location is nice - close to bus lines, grocery stores, a strip mall and some restaurants. Clermont is part of the Christian Living Communities. It's a fairly large campus but caters to all care levels from retirement living to skilled nursing care. Seems to be quite a few activities offered on a daily basis. Residents appear to be happy and engaging with each other. Updated Jan 2018 After touring an available room for a relative - the room itself was quite small (200 sq feet). The original building for Clermont must have been designed in the late 70s or early 80s? Either way the architect did not take window size into consideration. The studio I viewed had an approx 2'6" wide x 3'6" tall window. Newer facilities have much more ample window space as designers/architects slowly have learned that natural sunlight is important to the aging population. If you're hoping for a nice, bright and cheery room for your loved one - the rooms at this facility do not compare to other, newer, more updated facilities.

You know our beloved older family members living in a retirement home like Springbrooke have very little to look forward to, yet the one thing they have to look forward to is good food. At Springbrooke they are failing miserably at this, the soup I had was absolutely bland, had no seasoning and was cold, and I mean cold, not even warm. My Chicken was severly overcooked, flavorless, un seasoned and literally so dry I dont think there is enough sauce in Denver to help it. The vegetables were un seasoned, they obviously came out of a frozen bag, and were cooked to the point of being MUSH. My aunt said this was par for the course and told me that breakfast is even worse. Our server, an Ethiopian lady who was at least pleasant, when I complained about how dry and horrible my chicken was explained to me "That is how our chef cooks the chicken here, that is how our residents like it" and did nothing to even offer me something else or to replace it with a better piece of chicken. * My Aunt told me that they are now on the 3rd or 4th Chef since she has been there in only 2.5 years, she said when she moved in the food was average, then she explained the food was absolutely wonderful for around 6-9 months when they hired a great chef, but then that Chef quit and the new chef is absolutely horrendous. I hope someone in a position of power reads this and can talk to the chef. My Aunt likely does not have long left on earth, and we want her to get the most enjoyment she can in the time she has left, and the poor quality of food, the dirty living conditions, and the lackluster and poorly trained dining staff are not going to achieve that.... Thank you Darrold Sutherfield

The grounds are nicely maintained and some rooms have spectacular views. I have eaten at "The Club" twice and both times enjoyed my meal. I did not make it for cocktail hour but there is one every Friday. You can get different levels of care from just the basics included in rent to pill management and personal care management. It smells like literal death. Not only do I wonder about the well being of nearby residents but the elder residents themselves is my main concern here. I asked a nearby resident how often this occurs and they exclaimed that it happens weekly for hours at a time. Why on earth is this place allowed to release this poisonous gas into the air for hours on end and legally have people living at the residence who are inhaling this at the same time? Something is not right here. This needs to be reported to the EPA or some type of environmental agency. The people living here are probably uanware that this is happening. 0/5

That's why we are paying you nearly $12,000 per month. And yes! We have a case open with the ombudsman. The new director Page Malmstrom does not listen, does not take any accountability & gives canned responses like "oh I'll talk to my team". And my favorite, "I've only been here for a few weeks". Save yourself the heartache and grief; DO NOT recommend or take your loved one to this facility. Once the ombudsman is finished with her assessment, my Mom is out of Brookdale Park Place. Tough chapter, hope this review helps you to really do your research.
