I wish I had more time to enjoy the attractive sitting areas downstairs. The shower space was small. If you are heading to the hospital for a surgery and need to do a washing prep ask for a room with the most shower space.

Rather than feeling historic or charming, the property felt neglected. Cleanliness: Several areas of the inn appeared poorly maintained and not particularly clean, which made it difficult to relax in the room or common areas. Management Interaction: Our interaction with the manager, Stan, was uncomfortable. He came across as dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the stay feel even more awkward. Overall Atmosphere: The general condition of the building was unsettling enough that our children were actually frightened and asked if we could leave and stay somewhere else. While the location could be appealing, the property seems to need significant updates, improved upkeep, and a more welcoming approach to guests.

I was so frazzled by then, I couldn't think straight and was planning on sleeping in my car, hoping I wouldn't get woken by the cops or a snow plow. But the wonderful woman who had just gotten off duty at the front desk heard my story, she quickly arranged for me to check in at the Inn. The room was nicely appointed and cozy and I was infinitely grateful to be snuggled in a very comfortable bed for the next 18 hours of howling winds and so much snow... The entire staff looked out for me as I waited out the storm and worked at calming my nerves enough to get back on the road. I had dinner the next day from the restaurant down stairs: a delicious burger the host brought to my room. The next day the same lady who saved me from the gas station floor leant me her own snow brush (which was a beaut!) so I could get back on the road, much calmer and happier than when I had got off. We drove up to listen to "The Jovial Crew" Saturday. This group performs Shanty, folklore rich songs of the sea, pub and more. Amazing vocals from the guys and a chance to join in to sing along. This was a BYOB event, a traditional Grog mix was provided by the Inn Keepers (non alcoholic) to which you could add the "Spirit"that you brought with you. House made Desserts were included with admission. They even had some themed treats, Hardtack and Joe Froggers. If you were staying at the Follansbee Inn, admission for the concert was included. For locals, tickets were available at the door. But, stay at the Inn for an overnight, their Breakfasts are included and amazingly delicious.

Spectacular views from this iconic Lodge at the top of Mount Sunapee. The Summit Lodge is used…read morethroughout the year. Hikers find a refuge at almost 3,000 feet while skiers and riders enjoy a warmup, food, beer, a rest, and awesome views. Towards the end of ski season, the expansive deck comes to life and the Lodge becomes a huge barbecue place. The large lodge is three stories tall. The basement has a huge footprint but it's not open to the public. Instead, it's used for storage and employee purposes. The main level has a cafeteria, a bar, a large seating area, and a huge hearth with a live fireplace. The third floor is a giant seating room and commands amazing views of the Green Mountains. The entire group of ski areas from Stowe to Killington, Magic, Stratton, Bromley, Mount Snow and Haystack are visible from the top. A giant clock-shaped dial with a rotating arrow guides the curious to all the mountains in view. Although a cafeteria style place, service at the Summit is superb. Friendly, efficient. The Summit also serves as an optimum wedding place as the outside area hosts numerous weddings in the warm months.

I got it last minute meaning the day before the epic passes closed and it was less than $500! (I know it was even a bit less if you purchased it ahead of time just FYI). There are three different lodges and one is at the top and two are at the bottom. Had to activate my epic pass and prove my student status. Get there early if you are activating a pass on a weekend! (This is a very manual process and took awhile).
