Cute place we sat outside of near a canal. Friendly fast service even though they were busy. I loved the Tomato Mozzarella pesto salad/sandwich. A Fresh veggies, a nice vinaigrette and malty cheese goodness. Big portion. Great place for a quick meal. By canal Friendly service

Food is fresh. The service was quick and simple. There was outside seating right on the canal, very nice scenery to enjoy brunch. The inside is small, and we paid there when we were done.

Tomato mozzarella pesto broodje - cones with a side salad

This place is really great! The concierge at my hotel recommended this place when I asked for a good non-touristy place to get a real Dutch lunch. When I went it was raining. I asked what the wait was for inside the restaurant and the lady said 30 minutes, so I sat on the terrace under the big table umbrella. Within 10 minutes, when a party from inside left, the lady invited me to move inside - after I already ordered - which I really appreciated (I did move). I ordered a tomato mozzarella pesto broodje and a hot chocolate. The broodje was glorious - it was fresh bread with melted cheese, crispy at the edges, and topped with tomato, onions, sweet pepper, pesto, and spices. It came with a side salad topped with an olive oil dressing with a kick. The hot chocolate came really hot, so be careful. It tastes like a hot chocomel, but the hot chocolate snob in me still liked it because it is a bit thicker than milk, and quite flavorful - what I like in a hot chocolate. When I still felt it was too hot to drink after 10 minutes, I asked if they had cold milk or ice they could put in to cool it down, but instead they put cold chocomel, so the flavor was not diluted! This is a small place that feels like a busy bakery but both the food and the service are excellent! If you're ever in Amsterdam, this place is worth a visit.

The only reason we went here for breakfast was because of yelp reviews. Amazing. Only 4 seats inside, but plenty of seating outside. Sidewalk and canal seating. May be the best breakfast I have ever had. Friendly staff. Omelette and cappuccino were spot on. Large portion meals for sure.

Server was a little overwhelmed and it took a while to get served, but the food was great and an incredible value. My sandwich was enough for 2 to share (but I ate it all!)

Wow this place was really great. I had been missing fresh salad and veggies after overdoing it on friet with mayo, stroopwafel, and bitterballen! I had the salami, onion, tomato, cheese sandwich. It was perfectly toasted with a nice salad. Nice canal view. Highly recommend!

We wanted to find somewhere to eat within a short walk of the Museumplein as we had 1:15 p.m…read more tickets for the Rijksmuseum. My wife located this place and we met up with our daughter there after she dropped off her rented bike nearby. If you walk to the far end of the park from the Rijksmuseum and turn left at the street that borders the park there, the restaurant is about 2 blocks along there. You enter into a small waiting area and proceed between 2 counters. The best way I can describe the process is that it was like an ice cream shop in the U.S. They had glass displays showing what was available for meals - varieties of pasta, etc. You could select from those, or I think they had salads also. You place your order and then grab a table. A server will bring the food out when it is ready. Seating was a bit limited, so there could be a wait for a table. We arrived just before they got busy, though. They have about 5 or 6 small tables on the ground floor. If those are full, a fallback option is to ascend the spiral stairs up to a low-ceilinged loft. This is where we ate. The chairs here were fine but the tables were quite small - almost like a high coffee table. It wasn't hard to eat off these, just a bit different than usual. Also, if you are much over 6 feet tall, the ceilings will require caution. They can probably accommodate another 3 - 4 small parties up there. Everyone liked their food, which definitely had that 'prepared fresh' vibe. I got the pasta and had no trouble finishing it. I'd definitely consider eating here again were I back in the area.

Mostly semi Italian deli items. I had ravioli, stuffed mushroom, roasted veggies, rocket and generous parmigiana sprinkling. They have tables so we could eat there. Small place, hard working, cool looking deserts (skipped because we had stuff back at the hotel.). I think they may have had table service upstairs, call and ask if that's your requirement. Lovely neighborhood small deli.

The staff treats every sandwich like something they're proud to make, assembling each one with care rather than rushing through the order. The breads are fresh, the ingredients are high quality, and the overall selection is strong without feeling cluttered. Everything looks thoughtfully prepared. The salmon sandwich is the standout for me -- fresh flavor, a generous portion of salmon without tipping into "too much," and balanced enough that you finish it feeling satisfied rather than weighed down. It's one I'd recommend to anyone. After ordering, you can wait outside on one of the small benches. They bring your finished sandwich out to you, and there's this almost charming sense of pride in how they hand it over -- like they know exactly how good it is and how happy you're about to be. There's no seating inside; everything is to go. This is the kind of spot where grabbing your sandwich and wandering along the canal feels like the right move.
