Dis place is superlekker. It is in the HEART of Leidseplein on the Prinsengracht - one of the most coveted locations in Amsterdam. It's a gezellig broodjes (sandwich) shop. Too bad we can only have ONE person inside at at time. That is NOT their fault. It's because they have two wonderful people working so you don't have to wait forever. You simply order inside then wait outside and watch them make your broodjes through their full-frontal facing windows. But the bottom line is the sandwich was amazing. I can't wait to go back. They have really tasty sandwiches. Fresh ingredients and great types of bread to choose from (ciabatta, etc). We have now tried three different ones and all have been awesome. Personnel is really friendly and even if there is a line, it moves at pretty good speed. read more

We were looking for a place where we could get a to-go sandwich to enjoy outside on the canal. This place was incredible. Like others have said the sandwiches are simple but made with such high quality ingredients. I had a prosciutto and cheese sandwich with this truffle mayo that was to die for. Don't get me started on the baguette. They have a good selection of drinks ranging from beer to juices which you can take. Hardly your typical Dutch sandwich place.. this hot spot is pretty spectacular! They have lots of little extra add-ons (chips, nuts, dried fruits, wines, coffee, fresh juices) but it's their sandwiches- they're the absolute highlight! There 22 different broodjes on the menu with 4 different kinds of bread you can get it on. I can recommend the roast beef (No. 21!!) on the ciabatta with olives, and if you get extra grilled courgettes as well (for €1.20), it's the best broodje on the menu! Something to note is that all the sandwiches are made to order and they're fairly quick about it too. Also to note, the ladies behind the counter are super friendly too! Best sandwich I've ever had! This place goes to show you don't need to overly stuff your sandwiches with meats or cheeses, etc in order to be tasty. Cora's has fresh and flavorful ingredients that make their sandwiches superb. I got the prosciutto, goat cheese, tomato, and spinach sandwich on whole grain roll. I don't recall the exact number, but these were the main ingredients. The bread is so crispy, but light and flavorful. They were kind enough to sub sundried tomatoes in for the regular tomatoes - highly suggest! The cheese was o-m-g good. Even the spinach! I don't know what they did to it but it was cooked and flavorful. One disclaimer: it was a messy sandwich! Crumbs dropping everywhere, pieces of cheese breaking off, and olive oil dripping out. Keep it in the bag while you eat! This in no way ruined my sandwich eating experience. It just meant I had to be extra careful not to lose a single delicious crumb. I was in Amsterdam for two days during a trip around Europe and this is the only restaurant on that continent that I came back for seconds for! We dropped into Cora on the recommendation of our river cruise guide (Arnout - Leemstar River Cruises...highly recommended) to pick up a lunch for the cruise. Wow...let me say how good this little shop is! I wanted to go back before leaving town, but never got the chance to swing back by... The sandwiches are excellent (with your choice of three breads), so we grabbed two and a bottle of wine. Not a bad option at all! Apparently, the shop closed down a while back but was reopened due to customer demand...now that's the sign of a good product. Highly recommended! read more

I'm not a huge fan of the typical Dutch lunch, which usually consists of a "broodje kaas" - but this is the best place I know to get a good sandwich at lunchtime near the Leidseplein area, where I often work.
