I had always heard horror stories about redness for days after a facial and was a little concerned about that, but there was not any redness at all. My skin has been so fresh looking that I haven't bothered using my everyday makeup. I also got a lash tint- something I never knew I needed til now. It makes me look awake even when I feel dead to the world. As for the spa itself, it's quaint and tastefully decorated. There is fresh water and coffee or tea available, along with magazines to peruse while you wait. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You will be in good hands while visiting Balance Day Spa and you'll leave feeling relaxed and fresh. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular.

I was assured that the tan would be flawless and a light, natural glow -- exactly what I asked for. What I got was the exact opposite: a streaky, orange mess that looked anything but bridal. The spray tan artist told me she had "four years of experience" and that I'd be thrilled with the result -- right before hurrying me out to get to her next appointment. My knuckles and hands? Burnt orange. I spent hours scrubbing them in a panic, trying not to look like an Oompa Loompa in my wedding photos. I had to literally use a Brillo pad & dish soap The tan was patchy, uneven, and frankly, awful. Thank God for my gown being long sleeves -- but even with that, I still looked orange underneath and mg dress was entirely backless. That being said I am a fair person by nature, red hair hair and freckles so I'm sure she didn't want to go too dark as it would look unnatural.
