Beautiful art displayed on the wall.

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were met with a truly welcoming atmosphere. The wonderful lady at the hostess station greeted us with such a warm smile and infectious positive energy that it immediately set the tone for the rest of our visit. Although I didn't catch their name, their kindness made a lasting impression. The playlist was absolutely phenomenal and perfectly complemented the ambiance, which was equally fantastic. The drinks were expertly crafted and just as impressive, making the start of our meal even more enjoyable. For our entrees, my partner chose the shrimp and grits and found them to be quite tasty. I went with the smoked corned hash, which had a delightful flavor, though it was a bit heavy on the salt for my taste. While I probably wouldn't order it again, it was still enjoyable overall. Our only concern during the visit was the long wait for our food. Despite the restaurant not being busy at the time, it took about 45 minutes for our meals to arrive, and we noticed a few tables that came after us received their food before we did. However, the same fantastic hostess quickly addressed our concerns by offering complimentary beverages and apologizing sincerely. They even summoned the chef over to apologize as well, which was a classy gesture that truly impressed us. Thanks to their excellent customer service and genuine hospitality, we will absolutely return the next time we're in Chicago. Thank you for making our experience memorable!

My visit at Brownsville winery was an OK experience. The food is not good to me. We waited over an hour for our food to come to our table. The server was not attentive to us at all. I ordered a vegan pasta which was overly priced and not tasty. My friend had a shrimp greens and fries. His fries were cold and His greens were not hot. His shrimp was supposed to be jumbo shrimp and he got some baby shrimp. The food was not good. I would not be going back to eat. The ambience of the place was great. The music was nice. The place was clean, but the food is overpriced and not good and the portion size of the food are very small

Alright this place was a whooooole vibe! I recently came in October for a friend's birthday and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Our server was gorgeous and very friendly. She offered us free wine to taste that was very good for a white wine lover. We ordered - 2 coconut curry salmon dishes, herb crusted rack of lamb, brussel sprouts shareable, and all their mocktails. Then my sister got their fruit sorbet with sparkling wine. Everything was very very good. This wasn't your typical restaurant food but very upscale and carefully prepared. One of the coconut curry salmon dishes came out with the wrong sauce and they made sure to fix it as well as offer free appetizers to make up for it. And I don't know why but their watermelon nojito was so good I got like 3 The night we came it was pretty busy and they had a DJ. The music was veeeeery loud which made it a little difficult to have conversation unless you were sitting right next to the person. Lighting was low and moody and slightly romantic. I love the decor here and the history behind the place. Will always stop in when I'm in the area.

Went with two of my older cousins when I was visiting Chicago for the weekend who aren't big wine lovers but they know I am. They also wanted to try somewhere they've never been before. All in all, it was a fantastic brunch experience. I opted for something different for my main- shirred baked egg. Reminded me of a Shaksuka, a middle eastern dish. I am grossed out by runny eggs so I asked for it to be cooked over hard. I probably should've said over medium accounting for the fact they would continue to cook because it was served in the skillet. It was delicious and flavorful plus a bit spicy . I tried my cousins chicken and it was perfection! Perfectly seasoned, crispy and juicy. Yum! I had a hard time choosing which wines I wanted a glass of, so the waitress said we could try a few as a tasting before I decided. I took her up on that! She also brought all 3 of us glasses of their house cava. We all agreed it was amazing. I'm considering joining their wine club because I noticed some unusual bottles and I'm pretty well-versed. I love how unique they are. Oh yeah, their music playlist was

An evening at Bronzeville Winery.... Well let's start with everything they got right ...The space is so nice it feels like an intimate lounge in Harlem during the Renaissance! Beautiful decor, great music, and good people.Thee shrimp appetizer was incredible. Nice big shrimp full of flavor. Excellent ambiance! On the other hand I spent two hours in this restaurant. One hour and thirty minutes was spent waiting on my food to come. When it finally arrived I was greatly disappointed . I ordered the fried chicken and Mac and cheese. The chicken came with garlic mash potatoes and asparagus. The chicken was fried so hard it was like chewing on wood chips. Yet had no flavor. Same for the garlic mash-no flavor. The Mac and cheese was not good it had no soul to I was crushed as Mac n cheese is my favorite dish. We also had biscuits and guava butter. Fell flat with no heat or flavor. Overall just a theme of lack of flavor. I mean no disrespect just giving my experience. Can't say I'll be revisiting any time soon but you are welcome to try!

I feel like you can't go wrong with bronzeville winery. The food is always a pleasure, since it was busy for restaurant week service was slower but not bad. The energy is always nice, playing oldies was a nice brunch

Cesar Salad - very good!
Tamara D.

Everything was astonishing! I had a reservation, and I was sat on time! The DJ was playing very nice cool R n B and jazz music which made the vibe outstanding. Let's talk about the good: I had a Cesar salad and the Beef Ribs , so good! I definitely will be back.

This was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday! They had a dj who was playing great music. You definitely need a reservation and can expect a small wait. There's very little waiting room and no seated waiting space besides the bar. The hostess and wait staff were all very nice. The macaroni and cheese was very salty so they took it off our check without any issue. We enjoyed our entrees and the Brussel sprouts. Everything came out hot and fresh with little wait time. The birthday girl was celebrated with champagne and a delicious seasonal cheesecake.

We came for 11:30 brunch, and Bronzeville Winery never disappoints. The service is phenomenal, every team member pays attention to the smallest details and makes you feel welcome. We started with mimosas and coffee, both on point. I ordered the shrimp and grits, while my table enjoyed the French toast, chicken and waffles, and maple bacon. Every bite was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Everything about the experience from the food to the service to the vibe was top-tier. We'll definitely be back!

Bloody Mary!

I've visited Bronzeville Winery several times, but this was my first time trying their brunch & it did not disappoint! We went to celebrate my sister's birthday, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was top-notch. The hostess was incredibly kind and immediately asked if we were celebrating anything. When we said it was my sister's birthday, she surprised her with a complimentary glass of champagne; such a thoughtful touch! We ordered the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, a salmon salad, and a Bloody Mary. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The only minor note: the salad portion could have used a bit more lettuce, as it came in a smaller bowl. But aside from that, everything was excellent. The service, food, and music created the perfect vibe for a relaxed and celebratory brunch. I have zero complaints and will definitely be back!

One shot neat $26 & plain sliders for $50!!

One thing positive is the music was great Service was poor, one drink & one bite for $50 is unacceptable!!

Black owned winery in Chicago I'm so glad we found you!!! This place did not disappoint and was decorated so beautifully!! The music was like listening to my own playlist but def had to follow their Spotify because I kept having to open Shazam for the remixes. The customer service was 10/10!! Our waitress was so bubbly, informative and helpful. The Brussels were phenomenal!! The shrimp was fantastic as well. I was overjoyed with the selection of wines they had as well as cocktails but the orange wine won me over. It was my first time tasting it and now I'm def a fan. I will be sure to visit next time I'm in town and have def shared to all my friends. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I've found another gem in Bronzeville! I took advantage of restaurant week and dined solo at Bronzeville Winery. Upon entry, you are greeted by the host and the bar! The bar is literally 4 steps from the door. One of my besties was supposed to join me for dinner but couldn't make it so I dined solo. I was seated right across from the Dj booth, facing the dinner room. The music created a vibe, the lighting was dope....a nice vibe. I decided on the restaurant week menu with caviar. My first experience like this with caviar and it was ok. Caviar was....salty but yet enjoyable. My next selection was their bread with butter. Yummers!!! I I loved it. I mean if we can't get good bread and butter...what are doing ‍ My next selection was a dinner salad topped with pomegranate seeds and goat cheese. Another delicious entree. My main course was their lobster roll with French fries but by the time it came, I was full. There was no way I was going to eat dessert, pack it up as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back.

Reviews were good so we came in on a Monday evening. The interior is so cute! Velvety comfy green chairs at the wine bar, smaller lounge tables and couches in the rest of the place. There is a separate room for gaming. We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by Aria L. She was so courteous and helpful, offering us suggestions on the wines and snacks. They have a great happy hour from 4-7p for $20 wine bottle which is fantastic. The house white was good, although they ran out after a glass and I went for the Simi sauvignon blanc which was so good. The parmesan truffle fries are a MUST. Just $8.99 for a nice sized bowl of crisp, tasty fries with fresh parmesan shaved on top. MM! I had the 12" cheese lovers pizza which had burrata cheese on top oh my GOSH that is gooooood. It's rich so I had plenty of leftovers for the next day. My friend got the 12" Diavola pizza which she loved. My other friend got the Italian panini ($13.99) which he said he was not that crazy about, but he did enjoy the atmosphere and the Guiness. It is a chill place to have a nice conversation without having to compete with loud music or chatter. We are planning to revisit the next time I am here, this was a very enjoyable evening.

We did come late, which had to do with scheduling conflicts so our server seemed standoffish to begin with, but completely understandable. I'd be the same way. After a few minutes, she warmed up and her personality came out, very sweet! Our round of drinks were: Lychee Love, Apple Cider Margarita, & Campire Biscotti. All exceptional. For our first appetizers, we ordered Short Rib Hummus and Lamb Meatballs. These were great starters, and built anticipation. For my entree, I ordered the Wagyu Cheddar Burger and then, my auntie said the magic words "I think we should try the focaccia bread." If I would have known the Foccacia Bread (with whipped butter and honey) was going to be that superb, cocktails and 6 orders would have been all I needed. Don't get me wrong, the Wagyu Cheddar Burger was scrumptious, but the Foccacia Bread was outstanding. The kitchen was closing and I HAD to ask for more--mind you, I hate doing that. It was THAT good. The fact that I'm writing this review over 2 months after having received it, I think speaks to the impact it had on me as well as guests who saw it. My husband, who sent them, explained to the florist that I'm a bit atypical in my preference of flowers. After much time trying to decide, he saw something on the website while talking to the florist that said "Florist's Choice." After my uncompromising & thoughtful husband felt the florist had a fairly comprehensive inference of what I'd like, he committed to the "Florist's Choice" option. I'm thrilled & elated he did. These flowers appeared almost unreal, or alien, as though they were cut from a magical rain forest. The colors, shapes, variety were outstanding. There were only two flowers I was familiar with, though I loved them all. This extrinsic bouquet, put together at the Avenue Flower Shop would definitely delight every floral arrangement lover. Whether you're sending flowers to a hopeless romantic & prefers something classic like roses or daisies, or someone who takes the road less traveled & prefers the orchid; this bouquet will impress all. A factor I know is important for our household was the reasonable arrangement & delivery pricing. Thank you very much to the kind woman who took my husband's request as well as to the gracious woman I spoke with when I called to express my glee & thanks at what had arrived at my door from them!
