We did the great tasting experience where you get 3 entrees, drinks, wine and dessert. It was definitely worth the money. But if you share the meal experience you have to also buy an entree (fyi). The waitress was nice and patient. Even though we had a reservation it took a while to be seated when there were open tables but there were only two waitress for the restaurant. The food takes a minute to come out after being ordered (45 mins) but it was piping hot and fresh. The ambiance was nice. They were playing old school Luther so it was vibe. Bc this food was so good , I'll give it a 5 but if you go be patient. It'll be worth the wait

I was very disappointed in the taste of the center piece lobster, though. My date got something else. I don't know how, but this place made Brussels sprouts taste good for a bit. Service was great. I wish I had taken pictures of the restaurant itself it was so cute and posh. Idk who opened this place but they were heaven sent. Lamb chops and salmon over mashed potatoes? The energy, the music, and even the celebrities who stop through make it a place worth visiting. However, I do believe some of the waitstaff could benefit from additional training when it comes to customer service and attention to detail. One thing I've noticed during my visits is that certain waitresses seem to focus their attention on guests they assume will leave larger tips, while others receive very little attention. As someone who frequently dines alone, I find that disappointing. Just because someone walks in by themselves doesn't mean they deserve less attention or aren't prepared to tip generously. That person sitting alone could be the one planning to leave a $100 tip, but you'll never know if you don't provide them with the same level of service as everyone else. During my visit, my menu was extremely sticky, and the bar area needed attention. As a paying customer, I shouldn't have to wipe down my own menu or clean the area where I'm sitting. Those small details matter, especially when you're trying to establish yourself as a destination for great food and an exceptional dining experience. I genuinely wanted to give Soul Vibes five stars because I appreciate what the owners are building. My four-star rating isn't meant to discourage anyone from visiting. It's simply an opportunity for the establishment to improve in areas that can make a significant difference. The food is there. The atmosphere is there. The ownership is there. Now, the service needs to consistently match the experience.

It's very clean and modern. The food was amazing. I started off with a peach lemonade/tea drink that was very good. I cannot remember the name, but it was spirit free. Next, I got the collard green dip. This is a must try when you go. Its so cheesy and delicious. It was perfectly seasoned. For my entre, I got the smother pork chops. OMG I did not expect that food to be so good. IDK what they seasoned that gravy with, but it was fire. The porkchops were delicious, and I loved the seasoned rice that it came with. My only complaint was that the kitchen moved very slowly on the night that I went. It took forever for my food to come out; however, I will say the taste of the food made up for the how long it took to come out.

I came here with some of my trainees after a field trip to the Science and Industry museum. There were 12 adults and we spent about $300, which wasn't bad considering your meal comes with two sides and cornbread. I ordered the baked turkey wings with collard greens and white rice. It was so delicious! I couldn't eat it all because the portions were huge! A lot of my trainees needed to-go bags because it was so much food in those containers. The peach cobbler is amazing too! Not too peachy and not too much breading--a perfect combination. The chef was grateful for us coming in and talked to us too! The host was a sweet man and hooked some of my trainees with some sweet tea on the house. Just beautiful people bringing delicious food to Bronzeville.

2.5 stars. Lissen…read more.. it's overpriced. Food was decent enough, but at $30+, I was expecting more. So much more. Menu is written on a whiteboard which allows them to just erase the item when it sells out. But, a digital display would elevate the ambiance and lend a more polished feel. Details matter, especially when you're asking customers to pay premium prices. Customer service was really rocky to start, but the gentleman with the locs saw my face, heard my comment, and quickly adjusted. Much appreciated. Keep that same energy for ALL your customers. What we ate: Delicious: peach cobbler (fantastic!) Decent: short ribs, Mac n cheese, green beans, cornbread muffin Don't bother: collards, salmon One major gripe: at this price point, being served in takeout containers with plastic cutlery cheapens the experience. Invest in real plates and silverware -- your margins can surely support the upgrade. If you are going to automatically grat a dine-in check, then your patrons should sit at clean tables and be greeted by a smiling face. Neither of these were part of my experience. But I also didn't see the gratuity on my check. So, there's that. Clean tables and a warm greeting are basic expectations -- not bonuses -- especially if an automatic gratuity is being added to dine-in checks. (Although curiously, I didn't see this reflected on mine.) As for the $1 price tag on a small 16 oz bottle of water -- yes, you're making a solid markup. But why not reinvest a few cents more in a larger, sport-cap option? Small touches like that make a big difference in perceived value. The space was nearly empty during my visit, but I can imagine it picks up post-Sunday service. Still, the lack of energy in the room matched the food: fine, but not worth rushing back for. Nothing Would I return? Maybe. But I'm not in a hurry.

Nobody's performing, everybody's happy to be there, and the staff treated us like they were glad we showed up. Start with the sweet tea. It's the real thing. The Nashville hot chicken and waffles is the move. The heat has actual flavor behind it instead of just burn, and it builds in a way that keeps you going back for another bite. Then I tried the shrimp and grits and had a small crisis about which one I liked better. Still haven't settled it. The grits were creamy, the shrimp had real seasoning, and I cleaned the plate. Fair warning: none of this food is for anyone on a diet. That's the point. Come hungry, wear the forgiving pants, and let somebody else count things for the day.

He had curly hair, was light skinned, and appeared to be either a waiter or busser. While we were seated, he bumped into my chair at least three times and even hit me in the back of the head while trying to move around the area. He apologized each time, but after it kept happening, it became frustrating and uncomfortable. He was also spraying 409 heavily at the table right next to us while we were eating. It was so much spray that I genuinely felt like it may have gotten on my food. On top of that, he repeatedly dropped things around our table and seemed to have a difficult time maneuvering through the dining area. It honestly made me wonder if the table placement itself was part of the problem The food service was also disappointing. My meal came out first, and I had to wait quite a while for my sister's chicken biscuit. When it finally arrived, the chicken was not cooked all the way through. My pancake and bacon were both good. I just wish the overall experience had matched the quality of those items. Between being repeatedly bumped into, being hit in the head, cleaning chemicals being sprayed next to our food, and undercooked chicken, it made the experience difficult to enjoy.
