I used to like going there. It just became too expensive. Not a fan of contracts. They do not offer Veterans any discounts.

From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with open arms, good vibes, and an energy that lifts your spirit. Whether you're brand new to salsa or have been dancing for years, this is the kind of place that makes you feel like you belong. The instructors are not only incredibly skilled in NY style salsa/mambo, but they also teach with passion, patience, and heart. Every class is structured, yet fun, and you walk away each time having learned more than just steps--you grow in confidence. Cache isn't just about learning how to dance... it's about discovering the dancer within you. It's a space that uplifts your emotional and mental well-being through movement, music, and connection. There's something incredibly powerful about moving your body, pushing past your comfort zone, and realizing just how much you're capable of. And the best part? The people. You meet others who are there not just to dance, but to enjoy life, make friends, and have a genuinely good time. It's impossible to leave Cache without a smile, a little more rhythm, and a stronger sense of self. Highly recommend to anyone looking for more than just a dance class--Cache Studios is where community, confidence, and culture come together beautifully.

The CEO did not intervene and remained silent, and the parent of the student involved was not contacted until I addressed the issue myself. This dance studio struggles with communicating what respecting one another or accountability looks like as the unkind child still attends the dance school. It's not a coincidence that a few reviews on here mention the bullying issue and it going unaddressed. This led our family to move to a studio with clearer expectations for respect, accountability, and an age-appropriate classroom structure. Additionally, when families first join the company, new dancers are not allowed to perform during their first year. Parents are told this is because they are new and should observe the more experienced dancers, with the expectation that they will perform in their second year. However, families are still required to attend competitions and pay the associated fees for competitions even though their child does not perform. After doing some research, I learned that spectators are generally not required to pay these types of fees to simply watch competitions. As a result, the policy felt confusing and difficult to understand, especially since families are contributing financially to a competition team their child is part of but does not participate in competition dances during their first year.

They offer classes every day at about 3 Bronx locations and a Mount Vernon location. If you're looking for your child to become a recognized star with long-lasting friendships, think again. This studio is simply for profit, doesn't do anything for the community, conducts themselves as a group long "activity", where students learn basic moves and practices a choreographed dance every class for their annual recital in June. The recital outfits range from $65 - $100, complete uniforms are no less than $30, and the shoes are definitely for profit and can be found way cheaper on Amazon. If you have about $3,000 to spend for a sloppy performance at a local auditorium in June where sellers constantly try to make you buy from them, then this is the place for you. If you decide to attend this studio, please listen to your child when you ask about the classes. Ask them about their favorite thing in class, and the worse thing in class, Then, as a parent, think about the benefit they will have in the end VS the dire need to have them "in something." We completed classes for 2 years --- made it on the dance team, gymnastics (not a real gymnastic class, just a bunch of flips and cartwheels), and jazz, but still did not benefit for the amount of tuition and accessories paid. Some dance instructors need some work, while some play no games (some are Broadway stars) while the owner, Susan treats students kind, but dance team parents like children, & takes her business name seriously, rather than the experiences her student has for the year. So, that's all guys, I will leave this as a review, and not a complaint.

Another friend had taken classes at this academy before and highly recommended it, so the three of us booked an Introduction to Ballet class on Sunday at 12:00. Check-in was quick and easy. The class was $25 for an hour and a half, which I think is very reasonable considering it's from an actual ballet school. There's no strict dress code, which worked out well since none of us owned ballet attire -- we just wore regular workout clothes and socks, and it was perfectly fine. The instructor was wonderful. She started by asking who had never taken ballet before, then positioned the newer students between people with experience so it would be easier to follow along. I really appreciated that, as I have no dance background and definitely found myself lost more than once. Having people around me to follow made it much less intimidating. The class itself was energetic and fun. The instructor was patient, encouraging, and made sure to keep things approachable for beginners. I'm sure my form was atrocious and I messed up plenty of times, but nobody cared -- the atmosphere was supportive and welcoming, and everyone was just there to enjoy themselves and keep trying. The class had people of all different skill levels and abilities, and it felt very inclusive. Overall, this was a great introduction class, especially for someone nervous about trying something new. I never once felt self-conscious, and I genuinely had fun. I'd highly recommend this academy to anyone looking to take dance classes, whether you have experience or not. If I were interested in pursuing ballet, I would definitely come back.
