I think the reviews speak for themselves... poorly maintained properties, the super could care less about cleaning around the building, cleaning the halls and elevators, properly shoveling the steps and sidewalks - and responding to requests. There's roaches and mice - the pest control comes infrequently and only after multiple complaints to management... no fire alarm system in the hall nor extinguishers anywhere visible through the building.... a true shame. My buildings super has 3 cats in the basement (for sure a health code violation). The stench from the cats comes up to the 6th floor!! Lovely bed bug from a Bronstein building in Brooklyn.
    K.E. M.

Unless you enjoy keeping bed bugs as pets...RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. DO NOT pay attention to how big the apartment may be, it's not worth any of the hassle or expense you will experience with the multiple issues that Bronstein will lie about. I live in a Bronstein apartment in Brooklyn with my fiance, small dog, and cat. After Bronstein made us jump through every hoop imaginable to officially sign our lease, they then decided to lie about the bed bug issue in our building. The vacant associate at Bronstein claimed at our lease signing that there was a bed bug problem in, "just one unit on the 4th floor" and never on the 5th floor (where we live) or anywhere else in the building, that we have nothing to worry about. My fiance then asked her again, "are you sure there was never a bed bug problem in our unit or surrounding units?" to which she replied, "Absolutely not, it was just one unit on the 4th floor and it was taken care of promptly." Fast forward one month after move-in, and I'm covered in bed bug bites. After speaking with all our surrounding neighbors, they all confirmed that they too have bed bugs, and have notified Bronstein of the issue numerous times over the past 2 years. After calling the exterminator (Bronstein won't call, you must call, this must be too difficult of a task for them), we were given the protocol for extermination: Basically, packing up all our belongings, washing every piece of clothing we own, and living out of plastic bags for 2-4 weeks. Let's not even talk about how the extermination company claimed that the pesticide they use is 100% pet safe as long as the pets were out of the apartment for 4 hours (which we followed precisely), then come a week later, both our pets had been extremely ill. Now on top of living out of plastic bags, we get the added fun and expense of vet bills! Don't even get me started on the non-functional elevator, not having a mailbox key for over a month, having to beg for a smoke detector (against the law?), the lazy super that claims any and every issue is "not part of my job description", and the building manager that NEVER returns a phone call! I have lived in 3 other buildings in Brooklyn since moving to the city, and even though none of them have been perfect, none have had bed bugs or lied as much as this terrible management company. Run away as far as you can and live in any other building. p.s. If you have a pet, Bronstein will not care about its welfare (see note above about the lying exterminator); however, they do demand a $1,000 dog deposit prior to signing the lease ! They also enjoy keeping this a secret until you're about to sign the lease. WTF?? !

Reviewing a management company is a bit like evaluating a car dealership, there is a tainted…read moreindustry presumption they are all deceitful, so you are wary to believe or trust them, or rely upon the truthfulness of online commentary and referrals. So, it is important to acknowledge and appreciate exceptions of excellent service and reliability; praising individuals who show competency and pride in their job duties, along with respect, courtesy, and value in their interactions. VNYPM has proven themselves to be this anomaly, deviating from low expectations by restoring confidence and care, rather than sustaining doubt and apathy. As a shareholder for nearly 20 years, in a Pre-War Queens Co-op building, my comparative observations about the detached, duplicitous, ineffective multiple management companies, and unqualified absent Supers I have had the misfortune to witness; have been transformed by Anes with his conscientious responsive team. Especially outstanding, Amy with her diligence, kindness, and delightful sense of humor; and, Izeta with her empathy, flexibility, and trustworthiness. Anes, one of the owners, is accessible via email or phone, and has responded promptly with genuine concern and diplomacy to any urgent matter I have had, particularly health related required accommodations. Thanks to Anes employing Neoly, we finally have a professionally skilled, and dependable live-in Super, who is attentive, friendly, and hard-working. When VNYPM was hired several years ago by our newly elected board, they took over a huge mess; from financial debt and instability, to prior mismanagement negligence, a mendacious incapable Super arduous to fire, and many complicated major repair and maintenance issues. Throw in a pandemic, which created complex and combative lockdown and safety issues to navigate, and additional financial strain on the residents and building. Because of the smart guidance and leadership of VNYPM, and their recommendations and partnership to the Board, it is really remarkable we are now in the best financial shape this building has ever been in, with visible improvements of a modernized elevator, and demolition and installation of tiled stones to our expansive exterior entrance. Looking forward to seeing the interior painting started, and floor cleaning finished, which will make all the difference to re-establish its faded glory, Every building's situation and priorities are different, but they all have the same management needs for dedication, responsibility, accountability, consistency, transparency, prompt honest communication, and decisive action. Management companies are being hired for their expertise, but, let's not forget they work for us, even though they are managing us! VNYPM shows an understanding of this reciprocal relationship, and how properly servicing these demands guarantees mutual success and stability for them, and our residential buildings. VNYPM is receptive to suggestions to what they could do differently or better so they can continue to grow and learn, efficiently problem-solve, and provide the highest client satisfaction. This open readiness to listen, is a significant distinction for me. I applaud VNYPM's willingness to think outside the box, and knowing when to compromise wisely. They offer creative innovative solutions, using only limited available resources, that realize the individualized vision for each building. This makes them uniquely qualified in my estimation, as they are both frugal, and inventive. Hope my positive review provides clarity in your consideration of VNYPM to manage your property. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Venture NY Property Management has been deeply…read morefrustrating. I simply asked for clarification regarding newly imposed co-op insurance requirements and how the coverage thresholds were determined. Rather than receiving transparent answers or supporting documentation, I was repeatedly told the requirements were "non-negotiable," threatened with fines, and ultimately informed that management would "not engage further" because the conversation had become "repetitive." As a shareholder, asking reasonable questions about building policies, insurance requirements, and risk management should not be treated as an inconvenience. At no point was any actual explanation provided regarding whether these limits were based on insurer recommendations, legal counsel, lender requirements, claims history, or any formal analysis. Instead, responses felt dismissive, defensive, and unnecessarily combative. Professional property management should include transparency, accountability, and respectful communication with residents -- especially when imposing financial requirements and penalties. I hope ownership takes shareholder concerns more seriously moving forward and improves how management communicates with residents.

Everything used to be processed and cashed in about one week's time. However, I've noticed they now take almost 3 weeks to post my payment as 'received'. This can potentially cause issues because they can 'FLIP THE SCRIPT' and charge a late fee when in fact the rent check was sent in advance (weeks in advance), and nothing was late to begin with. It's an efficiency processing issue, or a staffing shortage. I have no idea which one it is, but i hope they don't label me a 'bad tenant' due to their inability to manage processing checks because they are trying to play some game, raise rent, or whatever. As stated, i have no idea what is going on and unclear if this is a result of layoffs, shortages, etc., but they need to ensure they are adequately staffed. They haven't done it to me, but there is a potential for someone to do nefarious things and charge a late fee when nothing was late to begin with. This could also be a post office issue as well because there have been things in the news about late deliveries and postal employees throwing mail, and packages away. I just wanted to share this because this has only started happening in the last 2 - 3 months. Other reviews have noted the same issue. Also, i don't appreciate GINGER L. sending me nasty messages. We all have different experiences with management companies and to accuse me of lying in my review was wildly offensive. She should have read my original review more clearly because there was clearly a reading comprehension issues. Anyone reading can clearly tell i was talking about my own personal experiences with them, and how i rated it based on the fact we rarely interact and when we do, they have been responsive. I've had bad experiences, and hope i never do again. Separately, i am not sure if they have biased treatment towards tenants based on where people live (i.e., bad neighborhoods), but i can picture that happening as well. However, i don't know so i can only say its my observations and thoughts on the subject.

I did not want to make assumptions about why those things were happening, so I felt it was best to take the review down at that time. However, I believe it is important to document my experience honestly. I have lived here for approximately two years, and for a significant period of time I have repeatedly reported concerns about conditions and disturbances in my apartment. I have contacted management numerous times seeking answers and assistance. My biggest frustration is that I still do not feel that my concerns have been fully addressed or that I have received a clear explanation of what has been investigated and what is being done to resolve the issues I have reported. I am simply asking for my concerns as a tenant to be taken seriously, properly investigated, and addressed in a professional manner. I hope management will communicate with me directly and work toward resolving the situation. Living here has become an extremely frustrating experience for me. I simply do not understand how a tenant can report so many problems and disturbances in their apartment and still feel like no one in management is able to provide meaningful help or a lasting resolution. I have repeatedly reached out because the disturbances I experience at night have affected my ability to sleep and peacefully enjoy my apartment. When you are paying rent, you expect to be able to come home, rest, sleep, and feel comfortable in the place you are paying to live. At this point, I feel like the only option I have left may be to move out. I have tried repeatedly to get assistance, and I am exhausted from continuing to report the same concerns without feeling that they have been resolved. I can only speak about my personal experience, but anyone considering moving here should ask serious questions about how tenant complaints and ongoing apartment issues are handled before signing a lease. No tenant should have to repeatedly ask for help just to have peace and quiet in their own home.I have lived here for two years. I don't bother anyone, I stay to myself, and during those first two years I was able to live my life without experiencing the problems I am dealing with now. What I cannot understand is why, shortly after renewing my lease for a third year, everything suddenly changed. I began experiencing disturbing and unusual conditions inside my apartment--unexplained noises, movement and vibrations, nighttime disturbances, and other things that I had never experienced during my first two years here. These disturbances have become so disruptive at night that they interfere with my sleep and have affected my ability to get up and go to work. I have repeatedly reported what I am experiencing to management and asked for help. I have also documented what I have experienced extensively, including approximately 140 videos. I have no reason to make any of this up. I simply want someone to take my concerns seriously, investigate what can actually be investigated, and give me answers. Some of the disturbances appear to me to be coming from beneath my apartment. I have also experienced what seems like air or another substance entering my apartment, along with vibrations and movement. I do not know exactly what is causing these things or who, if anyone, is responsible. That is precisely why I have repeatedly asked management to investigate. What makes this experience even more frustrating is feeling as though nobody knows anything when I ask for help. If there are accessible areas beneath or around my apartment, I believe management should inspect them and determine whether there is a building, mechanical, maintenance, or other issue that could explain what I am experiencing. I have also had concerns about openings and equipment in or around my ceiling. Again, I am asking management to determine what these things are and whether they have anything to do with the conditions I am experiencing. I don't want to make accusations that I cannot independently prove--I want answers. After living here peacefully for two years, I never imagined my third year would begin like this. At this point, the situation has become a complete nightmare for me. I should be able to come home, sleep at night, go to work the next morning, and peacefully enjoy the apartment I pay for. I have called the police more than five times. The problem is that by the time the police arrive, whatever I am experiencing has stopped. The officers come into my apartment, they don't observe anything happening at that moment, and they tell me they cannot determine where the disturbance is coming from. Then they leave, and later I begin experiencing the disturbances again. I have also contacted 311 numerous times trying to get assistance. I have reported the situation repeatedly because I genuinely do not know what else I am supposed to do. I

Parking can be a challenge so you may want to purchase an apartment that has a parking space on the lease already. There is both indoor and outdoor parking that is reasonably priced. The management office has always responded to my needs and addressed issues quickly and appropriately. Although I am not a pet owner, the building is pet friendly. Management seems to understand the importance of pet ownership and pet owners are respectful of their home and surrounding property. I have no issues with noise or pet waste. The subway is about a mile away. Plenty of buses within walking distance Including express buses to Midtown and downtown Manhattan.
