Garage Door come out because one of the wheels kept jumping out of the track. This was such a waste of my $95. The repairman they sent out obviously did not have any experience. He told me to get some paint thinner & wipe the paint off of each section of the door. OMG, if it was the paint making garage door wheel jump out of the track, they wouldn't be painting the garage door. He also told me to take a hammer, open up the track, put the wheel in back him, then hammer it closed. How unprofessional is that? I called Brokentop the next day. Since no one answered the phone, I had to leave a message. No one ever called me back. read more

One of the main coil springs for our double garage door broke, making it impossible to open the door----- and trapping our car inside. Called BrokenTop Garage doors. Friendly and responsive person answered and took my info. In less than 20 minutes, technician Derek arrived to do the repairs (fortunately he was already in the area). Derek was everything you would want in a repair technician---courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, speedy and well equipped with all tools and parts needed. He explained the repair process and estimated cost up front, and then within about 35 minutes he had competed the spring replacement and restored the door to proper working order. The bill was reasonable as well. The best part of going online besides reviews is to take a look at the website and what is offered, it can be a tad frustrating with all you can research and not find much information given by the company. Brokentop gives you a good feel of what they offer even gives a cost of the products. The sample brought out wasn't a tiny 4"x 4" making one's imagination stretch for what completed look would be. Tear out of old to the installing new was done in 2-3 hours, even with completing the work of opener and making sure I understood all the features. Efficient, clean, polite, and very reasonable on cost ( well under the big box that was recommended to me) so glad I did my own research. I will be recommending their company. read more

I looked at reviews online and found another rated a bit higher on Google. However, when I called the first one, their line was disconnected. I'm so happy I did because Brokentop was great. They scheduled an appointment within 36 hours of when I called. Tyler called ahead to let me know he was on his way, called again when he showed up, completed the tension adjustment on our springs and got the door aligned in less than 30 minutes, gave me some tips about the aging garage door, and didn't try to up-sell me on anything. It was affordable at $80, they take checks, and he was really pleasant to chat with while he worked. My only slight complaint was I was told he would arrive at 8 a.m. but he was running behind until 9:15 a.m. However, he was so fast, efficient, and friendly, I really didn't care. When we need to replace anything on the garage door, I'm coming to Brokentop. Highly recommend! read more

Friday morning and the garage door was frozen to the floor. Before I realized the door was stuck to the floor, l had already pressed the garage door button. The twenty-year old opener gave up the ghost. Called and spoke to a nice lady in the office and was happy to learn they could schedule an appointment for Saturday. I was told Tyler would be there between 9:00 and 11:00. Tyler called 15 minutes before his arrival, which was nice and gave me time to move my car outside. Tyler took a quick look and determined that the old opener was obsolete. I asked if he would be able to replace the dead opener and he said he'd get started right away. I couldn't be more pleased. By the end of one hour, the new unit was installed with new door sensors, a new wall switch and a wireless keypad outside. I asked Tyler if he would please move the LED bulbs from the old opener to the new one. He had already done that before I asked. Completely impressed and l give these guys my highest recommendation. This company replaced my old broken garage door with a solid steel one, and I chose a Premium LifeMaster belt driven opener (vs chain type) at their recommendation because they told me there would be no maintenance I'd have to worry about. In less than a year I started having problems with the the door opening smoothly, and then about 6 mo. later the system broke (as in screws fell out of the door and detached itself from the opener and bent the door). I called them and they came out and looked it over and told me it was because I didn't grease the door rollers and having a garage door with windows makes it too heavy and that's why it broke. He reattached the opener to the door crudely with a steel plate, which I appreciate, but when I asked him if he could please lubricate those rollers before he left so it wouldn't happen again before I could do that myself, he looked at one of the rollers for less than 2 seconds and said they looked fine and didn't need it. The door would work again, but it was damaged and would no longer seal when closed. When I asked him if there was any kind of warranty on their installation or the door itself he said he'd check with the company and get back to me. I have not heard from them since. I feel totally blown off. Steel garage doors, windows or not, and maintenance free belt openers with PROPER installation should last more than 1.5 years if not a lifetime. My old, non-steel cheap door (with windows) & chain opener (which you're supposed to maintenance yearly and had no maintenance) lasted 30 years. Not happy, and would never recommend this company. read more
