Ambiance is lovely! Clean large area to eat, relax, enjoy the company of where you are...feels safe. Trivia Wednesday nights, live music Sundays. Food delicious!!

Have been a fan of this place since they opened. Have become somewhat of regulars for weekly trivia on Wednesday nights to the point that we feel bad when we can't make it, that just goes to show how the staff makes you feel welcome here. Lots of tasty food options that I'd say are standard pub food but often with an elevated twist. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu both food and beer wise. Cheers to Broken Loop!

Great experience here, another welcomed brewery to the area. They have food and other drinks as well making it a well rounded experience. This visit I tried their sour beer - Berry Your Doubts and really loved it. You can also try a beer flight to get a variety. For food I definitely recommend the pretzel or apple & cheddar salad for a lighter bite. The space is open and lots of tables available as well as bar seating, though most were filled the Friday night I was there they seemed to turn over fairly quickly.

This may possibly be the best brewery in the capital region. Cute, open atmosphere and very pleasant and attentive service. Beers are very good and the food is even better. One of the freshest and most delicious burgers I have had in quite some time and the fries are perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Cheese curds are flavorful and the sauces they pair them with are great. Honestly already planning to come back next weekend to try more things.

New brewery in the old Yonder Farms location. 2nd day open (soft opening on Saturday, November 23, 2025). The owners and staff were very friendly. I had a tasting flight of 4 of their own beers. They were all very good. According to their menu, it looks like some pub grub will also be offered: Pub Crackling, Bavarian Pretzel, Pub Fries, Chicken Fingers, for the apps and Bavarian Burger, Classic Pub Burger, German Brat on a Roll are some of sandwich choices. The location of the place can't be beat. It's on the corner of Albany Street & Rte. 155. At 1PM on their soft opening weekend, it was already busy. Kinks are being worked out as I write this but the vibe seems positive, the beers are on tap, the "shrimps are on the barbie", and they're good to go. I think this will be a very popular place.

Burger was cheesy and greasy and excellent. Fries were crispy and salty.

My husband and I were so eager to try this new place right down the road, and it certainly will become a favorite. The owner was kind and chatty. The beer was excellent (try the Joule for something unique and surprising). And the food was decadent and well made. The ambiance was a little factory feeling, so I would love to see them cozy the place up. But overall, a great new place to have in Colonie!

They came free with my Nashville fried chicken sandwich order. They do great deep fryer food. My sandwich was all sorts of crispy, spicy and tangy fun. The space, however, has changed a lot. I remember when it was the Pump Station several years ago. The late owner, Neil Evan, was a fixture there and his seafood Mac & Cheese was something to rave about. By contrast, Common Roots has a more limited menu and plainer furniture. A lot of pizza varieties, tacos, salads and burgers. Decent bar food. By contrast, Common Roots flagship in Glens Falls appears to have a better menu with more variety. I generally eat healthy. I can't eat bar food regularly. The meal was great for a Friday night out. There's also a very good non-alcoholic beverage and drinks menu. I was happy to see all of varieties of stout. The snowy stout was delicious. So was the kombucha. The bar where I sat was clean, sleek and modern. The bartender, who took my order was helpful with suggestions. The main dining area looked a bit sparse for 8pm on a Friday night but the business is still relatively new. I'd like to see an expanded menu with at least a few more healthy choices and some family-friendly selections. Meanwhile, I'll know where to go if I get a craving for awesome freshly made potato chips.

This was my first time at Beer Bones Bar and Grill. We went as a group of six and made a 6pm reservation, which turned out to be a good call because the place filled up quickly. It's on the smaller side and definitely gets busy. One thing to note, there is a 3% upcharge if you pay by credit card. It's posted on the door, but easy to miss if you're not looking for it. We started with pretzels and mozzarella sticks, both were very good. From there, it's clear wings are a big focus here. They have a ton of sauce options. We ordered a wing platter and tried Stebo, garlic parm, moonshine, and bourbon BBQ. The Stebo was the clear favorite for everyone, with the bourbon BBQ as my personal second. I'd definitely be interested in trying their honey BBQ next time. The wings themselves were excellent, large, meaty, crispy, and very flavorful. I'm somewhat of a wing aficionado, and these absolutely delivered. One thing that really stood out was the generous portion of celery, carrots, and blue cheese. Most places treat that as an afterthought, but not here. Everything was fresh and plentiful, which was a nice change. Bravo on that. For entrees, we were told they were out of string fries and corned beef, but pastrami was available as a substitute for Reubens. Not a big deal for our group. I ordered a cheeseburger, no tomato or onion, add lettuce, with steak fries, and asked for it well done. Others at the table ordered a Feener burger, another cheeseburger, mac and cheese, tater tots, a slider, and a Nashville hot chicken wrap. The one issue was that our waiter didn't write anything down, which made us all a little skeptical. Unfortunately, that concern turned out to be valid. One burger came out without cheese, and they were out of American, so it had to be switched to cheddar. My order came out with tomato and onion, no lettuce, and waffle fries instead of steak fries. To their credit, everything was corrected quickly. The runner brought out lettuce right away and swapped the fries, mentioning steak fries take a little longer, but they came out pretty fast. My burger itself was what I'd call medium rare rather than well done, but I was hungry and didn't send it back. Despite the mix-ups, the food across the board was very good, and the portions were large. I was full and couldn't even finish my fries, which almost never happens. Service overall was a mixed bag. The waiter was friendly and acknowledged the mistakes upfront, which I appreciated. Other staff checked in on us, refilled drinks, and made sure we had napkins and wet wipes for the wings. Once the errors were announced , they were handled quickly and without any issue. I really think if the order had been written down, this could have easily been a 5 star visit. I'll definitely be back, the wings alone are worth it, and the staff did a good job recovering from the mistakes. Next time, if we're a larger group again, I might suggest writing the order down just to avoid the same issues.

I absolutely think this place is great!…read more I was introduced to Fallside through a Yelp Event earlier this year. I talked about it so much at work my friends begged to go. We met up for 50 cent wings on Sunday. Yeah, that's right, what is this 2006? 50 cent wings, and they are no joke! Big plump and juicy wings cooked perfectly crispy and generously tossed in sauce with was was described as house-made ranch or blue cheese dressing? My friends really enjoyed them. I had the fried vegetable gyoza and I can't say I've ever had them deep fried before, more like steamed or pan-fried, but this was a game changer! I was really looking forward to the Imposter cheezy jalapeno bites but our server informed us they were out. I love that they have several vegan options on the menu. At the Yelp Event we were fortunate enough to try the vegan pizza and it was honestly one of the best vegan pizzas around the Capital Region. They use Imposter plant-based cheese which is a local product made by a small business in Troy. I love that small businesses are supporting each other like this. The beer is excellent too, we were looking forward to having the red ale since I spoke so fondly of it but it was tapped out. I had a really good mango IPA which hazy doesn't even begin to describe! It's really nice inside and on Sunday it had just become warm enough by mid afternoon, they opened the big garage door and let some fresh air in which was no nice after such a long winter. I think I can speak for my coworkers and I that we will be coming back again soon so please keep those vegan options stocked up!

Our experience last night was much better service. We had Vicky as our server and she was a delight. So hardworking and caring. You can tell she pours her heart into her job. My major rave about BJ's this trip is the happy hour deals and deals of the week. We were thinking we were going to use a good sit down dinner and we ended up diving into "snacks". We just made it before the end of Happy Hour and we got some spinach artichoke dip and we both ordered personal pizzas. We also took advantage of the $5 wing specials on Wednesday. The spin dip was great but seemed to be missing something. Maybe some spice. The personal pizzas were a bit smaller than we were expecting, but for a $7 special you couldn't go wrong. I had the BJ's classic combo minus olives. It was delicious. The freshest toppings. The wings were a bit disappointing. Maybe because we're from Buffalo... but the dill pickle boneless really didn't have much flavor. The hot honey buffalo didn't seem to show any of those flavors. I almost wonder if they were the wrong flavor. But anyways, cheap deals, great waitress! I'll be back next time I'm passing through. We also loved that even though the place was packed, it wasn't loud! They have designed it well.
