This is the second time we've tried this restaurant. We did not really plan to go back after the first time. Since it was 4th of July and we were waiting for the fireworks we had a lot of time to hang out. The wait here is always extremely long so we got on the list. Luckily we did not have to wait too long for a table and we were sat down and greeted by a very nice server. We ordered drinks and wings and the carnitas fries. The food was very good this time!! The wings were crispy and fresh and the sauce was very good; peach habanero. The carnitas fries were loaded and the meat was tender. The jalapeño was quite spicy. Our drinks were good, very strong but good. I can recommend this place as long as you are patient and okay with a wait to sit, so if you're not in a hurry and are staying for a while at the Inn. read more

If you're staying at the casino or visiting the casino- I'd recommend, but not necessarily to go out of your way to eat there. The food was surprisingly good for it being a casino in New Mexico. A bit pricey, but expected since it's a casino. We ordered the Carnita Fries- I'd recommend, BYOB Burger with brisket on top, tasted great and the Po boy shrimp, wife said it was ok. All three were fresh, came out hot and tasty. The service was ok- our server took our order quickly, was ok on the refills and ok on checking in on us. Could've been better, but maybe we just came in too late on a Sunday. We sat by the bar, which had TVs playing an NFL game. Lots of family eating there, but it wasn't an issue since the entire casino is loud. read more

These people are SOOOOO SLOWWWW!!!! It took 25 minutes to even get attention at the desk. It took 20 more to get a water. Only utilize this establishment if you day is wide open read more

This was my third time dining here. Though it was busy each time, I'm always greeted with a warm welcome from the hostess. It's pretty busy on the weekends and there's also a large bar area. Due to this, it can get a bit noisy so, if you're looking for a quiet place to dine, this isn't for you at night. Their menu changes periodically so I don't recall what I had the last 2 times but I've never had any issues with their food. Everything is always fresh and delicious! I love the potstickers but the sauce is a little on the salty side. On today's visit, I ordered the Cobb salad with balsamic. The salad was delicious, the dressing was creamy and rich! The service is always excellent! The waiters work hard and are prompt and polite! read more

Ehhh this place has a lot of missed opportunities, their food was alright. Asked for a Guinness and had none and recommended another of their own brand, then had left hand stout one of my favorites but refused to switch my beer choice and force me pay theirs. Could be better this is the second time there, nothing that wowed me. read more

We came to have dinner as a family but once we ordered the food came over an hour later and we had ordered 3 shrimp po boy and the shrimp was raw for all 3 po boys it was very disappointing and it's a health hazard if I could I would give 0 stars but I can't read more

Great green chili stew. Great atmosphere. Fast service. Pricey, pricey, pricey. Burgers, steaks, sandwiches but nothing over the top to make you drool. read more

Sports bar atmosphere plenty of beer on tap. Food was not good. Don't eat here. Service was bad slow and staff rude.

7/10 Great pretzels, good mac, alright pork fries, bad zucchini blossoms. One person in my party liked the zucchini blossoms tho. The service was nice. Good decorations, but right next to the hallway and loud, especially during lunch. read more

We came to eat because it was one of the only places open in Ruidoso on Thanksgiving. We started with the chips and salsa with queso. It was ok and average, nothing wow. My husband ordered the T-bone steak with veggies and mashed potatoes. I ordered the shrimp poor boy with onion rings. The steak was cooked perfectly for my husbands taste. My shrimp poor boy was ok, the onion rings were the best part of the dish for me. read more

Had the ribs. Meat fell off the bone. Mac and cheese was tasty and just the right texture. Had a Chilton and my husband had a Ranch Water. Both were great. Very long wait, to be expected at a resort, we just got on the waiting list and went to the casino. Nice ambiance. Would go again. read more

Service was awful from the moment we walked in. Hostess had a bad attitude. We ordered avocado toast and it came out with overcooked eggs and without avocado. The food was in to-go containers and when they were handed over nothing was said that our order might be off in any way. We opened them and there was no avocado in the avocado toast. We asked about it and the server said they were out of it but she would give us a discount. The check came out and it was still on the ticket. We told her we didn't want to pay for an avocado toast without avocado and she gave us attitude, we literally had to explain why we didn't eat or want to pay for it then she finally rolled her eyes and took it off the bill. Food; sub par. Service; awful. read more

We stayed at the Inn of the Mountain Gods, so we opted for breakfast there out of convenience. While it wasn't outstanding, the meals were decent. I ordered ranchero breakfast tacos, which were okay. The dish came with three tacos, hash browns, and a jalapeño. My husband chose biscuits and gravy, but it was nothing to rave about either. Our daughters both ordered the kids' waffles but were disappointed when their meals did not come with the promised fruit. We didn't bother to ask about it since the service was quite slow. I ordered a coffee but ended up walking over to the casino's self-serve area to get one faster than the one I had ordered. It eventually came. It was a Monday morning, so the lack of busyness didn't justify the slow service. If I had known it would be this slow, I would have gone into town on our way back home. read more

The service was a bit slow, the two tables seated after us had their orders taken before us. But, that was about the only complaint. Being from LA, the prices were actually pretty good for the amounts of food, this is a resort restaurant after all. And the food was actually really amazing, both burgers and the asada fries app were great. Beer selection was also on point, we asked for house favorites and they did not disappoint. Overall a good experience. read more

The evening started off rocky. My wife and I waited 15 minutes (and there was 7-10 people behind us) while the seating hostess talked to a friend that was passing by. If her friend wouldn't have had to leave, I truly believe we would still be there. Once we were seated, the waitress took our order. The food was good and the young lady who brought it out was awesome. We never saw our waitress again. I left cash on the table to cover the meal and left. We had eaten at Wendells on numerous occasions and always had had a fabulous experience. However, we will never return to this restaurant and strongly recommend you eat somewhere else. Most of the employees here we're talking how they hated their job and unfortunately our dining experience reflected that. read more

Deceiving. Ordered a $12 (plus tax, plus tip, plus whatever else) pepperoni pizza to go, charged to my room. Come with fruit. I ordered two drinks at the bar to go, they were made good and strong. Go for the drinks, not the food. The hostesses were nice but I feel like they could have warned me.. idk, this frozen pizza warmed up was not what I expected to have. read more

Service was rather slow even though the restaurant was only 10% occupied. Started off requesting a double ipa if they had one. Apparently they don't know what that is as what they brought was an ale. The food came out and there wasn't one thing done well. Hamburger overcooked, shedded chicken instead of grilled chicken on a salad and the wrong dressing as compared to what it said in the menu and maraschino cherries instead of plum tomatoes.A turkey on a sandwich that must have been overcooked a week ago. We had a conversation with the manager to make sure she understood the issues. read more

I have ordered the street tacos 3 times previously. Ordered them yesterday . All I received was boiled over done chicken with 4 flakes of cilantro. It was so dry. Did not get the honey adobo sauce or the ciota cheese. Asked for hot sauce as I was choking on the dryness. Waiter took off the street tacos but had the nerve to charge me for the hot sauce. Service was slow, and lackluster in quality. Chicken in my tacos was chokingly dry. I don't drink so I can't say much about the bar, but as far as I can tell it's the only thing this place has going for it. Not worth it otherwise. read more

Star date: 3.22.2025 - The good: nice staff, lively atmosphere. The bad: ribs were tough (ok BBQ sauce, somewhat smoky), crab/tomato/mozzarella combination was weird and none of the ingredients tasted fresh. The ugly: a humongous hair in our food. Our server was kind enough to take it off the bill, but we probably won't be back. read more

Street Tacos ($17) with brisket had stale tortillas and no sauce. The Peachy Keen salad ($18) was delivered with ranch Dressing vs peach. The staff was clueless when I asked where the peach dressing was. After checking around they located the correct dressing, but the salad had canned peach slices and none of the mandarin oranges advertised. The decor is fine and they have 50+ beers on tap. Food court is probably a better bet. read more

This is our 2nd breakfast here and was a little better experience. It was not as crowded. So the service and waiting time to be seated and for our food to arrive was better than last time. Have to use one in hotel lobby or casino. read more

Tried the CFS (Country Fried Steak) as well as the Sweet Homey Pork. Not impressed with either. Both were a little over done, hard to chew in some places of the meats. You do get a fairly large portion, however the star on both the plates ended up being the Mashed potatoes... Ambiance is typical casino/bar/pub type setting; hotel guests being the primary patrons, highly doubt anyone's going out of their way to eat here. Servers are friendly, nothing over the top and extra. read more

place was clean and service wasn't terrible but food was subpar and that being nice about it. Order the cheese sticks for an appetizer and the cheese in the center was ice cold. Great stop while visiting the casino here. I ordered up a Chicken, Ham & Swiss Sandwich and it was great. Came with a Better than average Cole Slaw. Great potential, terrible execution, massive service failures. Lots of beers on tap, but... We were here in May of 2024 and it was just terribly managed. Understaffed at night and in the morning. Very overpriced for obviously microwaved food. Bartenders are very slow and inattentive, and their attitudes vary, which is probably explained by the fact that the restaurant, kitchen, and bar were each understaffed both days were here. There are multiple restaurants and a food court, but your options are limited at certain times of day, unless you want to wait on valet to leave, or stand in a long coffee line in the food court, or wait until later in the day for nicer bars and restaurants to open. Summary: -Super long waits for a server and for drinks and food, even when the place is 1/3 full -Complacent, uncaring attitudes -Expensive for what it is. -Restaurant subbed unseasoned boiled chicken on my sandwich and didn't even tell me. -I was open to giving the place a second try in the late morning, due to long lines at the food court coffee, but the same problems persisted, and I had to just pay cash for my coffee, and having to wait 10+ minutes for anyone to come by, even though I was trying to get someone's attention, and being told they didn't even know when they could get me food (never mind whether it was breakfast or lunch menu, which I had asked.) -Basically from the outside it looks like it might be a nice experience, but you will wish you just went somewhere else. *I am a former server, bartender, and bellman, so I try to give people in the service industry the benefit of the doubt, but this was beyond what should acceptable and there's strong evidence that the service people I met were not being supported by capable and involved management. read more

We came in for lunch while waiting for our turn to zipline. It was pretty empty on a weekday, we enjoyed the mix of music. I had the lobster fish and chips, and my husband had the carnitas. I thought I would absolutely love the lobster fish and chips, and was so excited about it, but they were just ok. It was hard to dip the long stick into the little butter bowl too. Both the lobster and the batter could have better. My husband's carnitas were enormous, and had way too much cheesy sauce on them. Just huge for an appetizer! Service was lacking, even though it was slow, we were only checked on once, and the server forgot to bring our tea back :( They do have an huge selection of beer on tap, which is nice! This is basically bar food, so probably would have all tasted better with a beer! read more

These guys never disappoint. The beer selection is HUGE. The food is quite nice as well. We had the carnitas fries and they were impeccably good. Service was spectacular. We actually went twice during our visit. Sat once at the bar and that was a great experience. Sat once at a table, and despite the hideous, nasty people that were sitting next to us, our server was spectacular. She took care of them to an unbelievable degree, despite their negativity and obvious want of a comped meal (if you can't afford the steak pal, buy hamburger). Wonderful experience, great beer, impeccable service. It's a must go in Ruidoso! read more

This place is terribly overpriced and overrated. We waited approximately 30 minutes to be seated. Finally, we received a text from the restaurant to gather our party and head over. Our family of five was seated in a very tight area. Luckily, we are not very large and we're able to fit. We decided to order quickly, as we had small children who were hungry. We ordered buffalo wings, a side of fries, pretzel bits as well as a beer for my husband. My husband's beer never arrived. The server brought the wings with no additional plates and no dipping sauce. The carrots and celery we old, dry, and displeasing. Finally, after about 15 minutes, the server returned. We asked for the plates, dipping sauce, pretzel bits and beer. She said "Oh, we're out of pretzel bites and sorry about the beer." She brought the plates and ranch. I will also add that these sad wings were $18. The staff is unhelpful, unmotivated, and lacks customer service. read more

It was my first time in Ruidoso and this restaurant came highly recommended. It is inside the Inn of the Mountain Gods hotel and casino. My friend and I went for dinner and there was a wait to get a table so we just sat at the bar because we were hungry. The menu honestly wasn't really exciting, They have way more beers than food selections, so I ordered the carnitas fries. I was happy I wasn't trying to be too fancy with the menu because this thing was the unexpected plate of redemption for the restaurant. The carnitas was very juicy and well seasoned and whatever sauces they had on there complimented the dish beautifully. It was a lot though, and tasted even better as leftovers. read more

The burger was a school cafeteria patty. Very low quality taste, but somehow they charge $13 base price. The porcini sachetti smelled awful and makes you want to throw up. The onion rings were all burnt to a crisp and were also low quality. The salads are all iceberg lettuce, but somehow costs $16. The chicken on the salad was burnt and dry.
