We came here in 2022 and loved their food. When we came back to Ruidoso, eating here was mandatory on our to do list. 4 years later, the food did not disappoint. So glad we ate here again! Every one in our group order either a smoothy or power drink. We all liked what we ordered. read more

Ok this place is a little hole on the wall- full of DELICIOUS food and drinks. In my stay at Ruidoso I came to this cafe twice! The Bizcochito hot latte exceeded my expectations! Probably the best latte I've had ever. Staff is so sweet. The cafe itself get super packed but absolutely worth the wait in line. 10/10 come and get your day started here read more

Second time try is worth the wait! We had come for lunch yesterday at 1:40, but they were closed. They supposedly close at 2, so we left, but returned today. The owner or manager welcomed us, and made recommendations! He was extremely welcoming and took the time to make recommendations. We ordered carne asada bowl, chicken bowl on a bed of lemon cilantro rice, and a breakfast sandwich of bacon, egg, and cheese! Lastly, my daughter had a croissant donut topped with sprinkles! To drink, we ordered lavender lemonade, an incredibly tasty drink! Overall, it was delicious and we most definitely will be happy to return! 5/5 Recommended! read more

Texans here! We're staying down the street for the weekend and are very happy we stopped in for breakfast and coffee. For drinks we got the hot dulce de leche and iced latte with 2 pumps marshmallow. For food we got the chorizo, egg, cheese, papas burrito; bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich; and the cream pan strawberry pastry! All of it was great! Highly recommended the hot dulce de leche and cream pan strawberry pastry!! The service was quick and the employees were very nice. The fun stickers on the cups for cold drinks is a nice touch too!! read more

Great small gem. Pretty sure it's the reviews that make new customers feel comfortable about eating there and they're right. I had the breakfast burrito and a green smoothie. Both delicious and filling. My wife had the breakfast sandwich and was very impressed. Going back this morning for açaí breakfast read more

We've visited Casitas Cafe a few times since moving here last year and it is consistently good!! First time we tried out coffee, a pastry and lunch. My coffee was not what I was expecting and when the owner asked if everything was okay I was honest about it, he said the one I chose isn't always a favorite but he'd like to make me his favorite coffee. He made me a horchata latte and it was amazing!! The pastry we had was delicious and though we were served a fiesta bowl instead of a burrito the bowl was fantastic!! I've been back for coffees and pastries a few times and today I visited again for lunch. We had 2 fiesta bowls to-go, one w chicken and one w carnitas. They're great, I definitely recommend!! One of the most flavorful meals we've had in town! Inside is cute and comfortable, perfect for sitting alone and reading a book or visiting w others. read more

Excellent latte. I also ordered the southwest breakfast burrito and it was very tasty. We will definitely be back.

I am so happy that I found this place, basically in the middle of nowhere! I feel like it's the best cafe in Ruidoso with the best coffee that isn't inferior to coffee shops in big cities. The variety of unique flavors is impressive, not just the basic caramel latte. I definitely recommend trying their Abuelita Mocha with the homemade dark chocolate ganache with cayenne pepper. But the coffee itself is very delicious - we finished their 9-cup card in like three days. Casitas is a perfect place for breakfast and lunch. We tried the Cubano Burrito, which was pretty good with the dominant taste of scrambled eggs. The Southwestern Avocado toast was not my cup of tea (not salty and with a lot of spices). The absolute love is the Breakfast Bano with smoked pulled pork - an explosion of flavor with a perfect balance. If you're on a sweet breakfast team, the açai bowl is delicious as well. I am always searching for pastries on all my trips, and here I found the most high-end pastries possible for Ruidoso. The Nutella housemade pop tart, the cheese danish, and the eclair with vanilla cream filling and matcha cream and raspberries on top - all were incredibly tasty! What I see as an area for improvement is the serving speed. It seems like they have a limited staff, so it takes them quite a while to accept and accomplish your order. And I think they should serve a bottle of water or have a water tank so you can get it yourself. I wish all the best to the Casitas and hope they grow their wonderful business read more

I firmly believe this is the best spot in town for breakfast lunch. It's the most comfortable relaxing ambience and the proprietors are doing excellent quality control. This place is an absolute staple. Great service, the menu choices and execution is the closest to perfect I've seen in a cafe. Sooo many delicious options. You can order anything and not make a poor choice. Loved the ambiance and the convenience of a water cooler and a little toy for your kid to play with while you wait. Will certainly be a mandatory stop when we come back to Ruidoso read more

Absolutely fantastic experience at Casitas Cafe! We indulged in a variety of dishes - chicken fiesta bowl, pork fiesta bowl, steak burrito, and the açaí bowl with chai pudding - each bursting with flavor and generous portions. The açaí bowl was a standout, with the perfect blend of flavors and delightful granola. Even the salsa impressed! To top it off, the lattes were hands down the best in town. Not to mention the warm and welcoming owners who made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend! I added a picture of my daughter very seriously eating every last drop of her açaí bowl, lol. read more

Damn good coffee and drinks. Yummy pastry. Haven't tried their breakfast/lunch here but would love to one day. The decor and atmosphere inside is nice. Family friendly. Prices for everything are pretty reasonable. I tried their strawberry pop tart strudel, their oatmilk tumeric latte with 24k edible gold garnish, and the spirulina latte subbing almond milk for oat milk since im allergic to almonds. Everything was delicious and did not disappoint. Staff are friendly. Definitely recommend this place !! read more

Stopped in for lunch.... The owner was working the register and taking orders. Made us feel welcome. He said this spot is well known for their coffee, and his wife is the pastry chef. First off, he is very friendly and extremely helpful. The pastries look amazing. They have a nice lunch selection. One of my friends ordered the lunch bowl. She said it was delicious. Other friend got a breakfast burrito. They prepared it perfectly! She said it was really good! Presentation was excellent. One had coffee. It had gold flake. She said it was good! Dottie got a peanut butter berry smoothie! I ordered tacos. They are not traditional tacos. I also got a turnover and homemade poptart! Awesomeness! I highly recommend the pastries! read more

Before you read the rest of this review - do yourself a favor and get. breakfast. and. coffee. here. This was the BEST cinnamon latte I have had in a long time. My husband was raving about his London Fog latte as well. And THE FOOD We got a breakfast burrito, avocado toast and a strawberry pastry to share. Just 10/10 across the board. Finally - the owners are so kind. The music was great, the ambience was beautiful, and it was so clean and smelled wonderful and warm. My daughter & I visited Casitas Cafe last week and it was amazing! We ordered the OG Avocado Toast, Green Smoothie, Açaí Bowl & a Chai Latte. OMG! Sooooo delicious! I highly recommend this cafe! I will be making a visit there as often as we can. The service was kind and the cafe was decorated for Christmas! We loved it! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Wonderful cute cafe. Service is wonderful and very accommodative for food requests. I got the heirloom avocado toast with a side of bacon (ask for the jalapeño bacon if they have it) and a DECAF crème brûlée latte. Don't forget to try their pastries - the pop tart is to die for! read more

If you're looking for a good cup of decaf, this is not the place. I cannot tolerate caffeine any longer and because I love the taste and aroma I drink decaf. This was the weakest cup of $3.75 coffee I've had in years. The food may be excellent, I haven't tried it, but I made the mistake of ordering coffee there when meeting friends and was terribly disappointed. read more

What a wonderful, spirit-filled little cafe. My favorite worship jams were playing in the background, great house-brewed coffee, and family-like customer service. I waited a while for my Cuban burrito, which I highly recommend, but I did not mind at all. The owners take pride in executing every thing that comes out of that kitchen with the utmost care and excellence. Quality over quantity. And that takes time, especially when you're training new hires. They made sure to refill my coffee while I waited, came to give me a heads up and chatted with me a while. My kiddos loved the homemade poptart that I brought home! read more

Excellent!! Loved the creativity in the wood which honored both native and Mexican cuisines into a highly tasty food on blue tortillas. We we were very pleased with everything. I told the owner I prefer black beans to pinto peans and that and the corn came from his native background. The salsa was excellent, tasty but not too hot. The sour cream to top it off and the excellent chicken perfect. I'd read about it on line and was so happy that it lived up to the hype. Thanks for being original and preparing such delicious food!! Nice decor also. read more

We stopped in for a coffee and tea. They were great, I had a house drip and my wife had a London Fog. Wasn't fast though, we were there for about 25 minutes before we got our drinks. I can't speak to if this is typical. 4 for drinks 3 for speed of service. read more

We went on a Tuesday morning for brunch. Very welcoming ambiance, newly remodeled, and the wait staff was very kind and accommodating. I got the cubana burrito and it was wonderful. I only wish they would cut the burrito at a less aggressive angle. The coffee was gourmet, not too sweet and very rich in flavor. No complaints about anything. I highly recommend visiting here. read more

What a delightful find in Ruidoso, NM! We wanted something healthy and fresh and this cute cafe exceeded our expectations. The couple who opened Casitas a year ago are so kind and helpful. We ate there twice on our vacation. The southwestern burrito was so flavorful! All the pastries can be addicting especially the homemade pop tarts. Where can you get an acai bowl for $8?? Not where we are from! My littles loved the unicorn hot chocolate and the gold rush was ordered several times I also bought two artesian sourdough loaves and I'm eating one now! So good! This place will be SUPER busy once everyone knows about it. I would recommend having more than one menu as many people were entering and had to share. I think it would be helpful to have pictures posted next to the menu descriptions. If you don't look at yelp or IG you wouldn't know what you were ordering and you MIGHT miss out! Great food, nice clean atmosphere and pleasant wait staff. I had a chicken fiesta bowl that makes me want to come back and have it again!

Great food and a great atmosphere, however we waited about an hour for our food and there were not too many people at the restaurant. Note that the menu does have limited options for breakfast. My honest review and I'm just trying to help the owner of this establishment here, it could of been a 5 star of 5, your food was amazing and delicious it's really top quality and good price. The problem was the waiter guy we got he probably was not focused and distracted, I had to get up and fold my own silverware when we received our food 45 min later, he coughed in my face and in front of the silverware without covering his mouth or apologizing. He did not check on us if everything came out good or if we needed anything, he gave the roundabout their menu to everyone except us , plates came in faster for other customers who arrived way later than us. Excellent food and beautiful little cafe just your man with a black hat and black shirt did not deliver on their service 2/25/2024 came in at 11:00 am. Food and ambience is 10 of 10 for sure, just your employee drove it down for us. read more
