Received 2 complimentary tickets for this Comedy Club by staying at The Westin- Times Square, however we were told we only had to buy 1 drink each and learned once we got here about their STRICT 2 DRINK MINIMUM plus 25% gratuity. Many in the crowd grumbled about that but honestly if it keeps independent businesses open and available to new and established artists then I'm all for it. There was a varied mix of talent, laughs were given for most. Overall I was glad I came, laughter is sometimes all you need to improve your mood, if you're looking for that, stop by the Broadway Comedy Club.

I've been to a lot of comedy shows in the city, and Broadway Comedy Club is the one I keep coming back to. The room is tight, the energy is electric, and the lineup always delivers. What sets this place apart is how well they treat the comics AND the audience -- the staff actually cares about the experience, not just filling seats. I've seen headliners here who could easily be on Netflix, mixed in with newer acts who are genuinely hungry and funny. That combo keeps every show feeling fresh. If you're visiting NYC and want a real comedy night (not a tourist trap), this is it. Grab the 2-drink minimum, sit close, and enjoy. You'll leave wondering why you ever paid $200 for a big theater show.

Our survival instincts are terrible so we decided to buy tickets for the club from a seller on the streets. Yes, we really did. No, we didn't get scammed (worked him down a decent amount and actually got a very good deal on them). After getting 4 tickets for about 50 bucks we decided to hit the comedy club for the 9PM showing. We were told to arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the show so naturally we showed up 35 minutes before show time and were told we couldn't line up to wait yet as they needed to clear things from the previous show. We walked around for a while to pass the time and came back 10 minutes prior to the show and the line was pretty long. It would've been better off waiting the entire time there. After getting past the intro line we walked into a hallway that quite honestly had us a bit worried we'd be on The First 48 but after they scanned our tickets in we figured there was no going back. You walk down a set of stairs to the basement area where the stage and bathrooms are. The area is dimly lit as expected and the seating options are okay although a bit cramped. We got seated right on the stage, which was great. The show started and in total we saw 6 comics and every one of them was solid to fantastic, many of them being former Comedy Central and HBO alum. Well worth the time and money we spent on the show. There of course is the two drink minimum, but unlike a lot of other clubs they actually have appropriately priced drinks and alcohol so it isn't a money pit. They offer a decent selection of wine, seltzers, beer, and others. For drinks we got some pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris, and some pineapple juice. All were good. For cheap comedy in the Midtown area this may be the best bang for your buck in value and is definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

I've been to comedy clubs across the U.S. and Europe, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience. The venue is in a basement and smells like it--musty and damp. Despite it being a Saturday night, the room was barely a quarter full. One comic identified several people in the audience as her friends, and they were the only ones laughing. The comedians struggled across the board. Most seemed underprepared or inexperienced, and the host didn't help set the tone. Some were outright inappropriate, and many begged for audience engagement that simply wasn't earned. A quick breakdown of the lineup: Daniel Saint - 1/5 Noor Gill - 2/5 Michael Strauss - 1/5 (extremely inappropriate) Audrey More - 2/5 Joanne Huang - 1/5 Alexa Springman - 1/5 Chris Yarina - 2/5 Conor O'Brien - 1/5 Malika Sen - 1/5 Another issue: the undisclosed two-drink minimum. It's nowhere obvious before arrival, but once inside, it's plastered everywhere--from signs to server uniforms. Four non-alcoholic sodas cost over $30 after mandatory tax, fees, and gratuity. Then you get a credit card slip that still asks for a tip, without clarifying that one's already included. Overall, this was a disappointing and uncomfortable night out. NYC has too many excellent comedy venues to waste time or money here.

Bottled tap water

I own a few small businesses so I'm not very quick to give negative reviews. However, I don't like being duped. And I don't like when other customers get duped. The comedy was OK. But this is where up-and-coming comedians cut their teeth so I have no problems with that. I encourage him to keep up the hard work! The two drink minimum is expected and standard. However... DO NOT order any drink "with alcohol". Trust me you won't taste anything past the ice. Do not waste your time, money or expectations. And to be clear: I'm not just talking about "weak". I'm talking about, "y'all know damn well you didn't put any alcohol in here." Now to avoid legal action they may put an eighth of a teaspoon of some bottom shelf gas station libation. But just go ahead and get yourself a ginger ale or a juice. That being said... DO NOT get water unless you enjoy tapwater. If you don't like tapwater, the water is gross. Don't let the fact that it comes in a plastic bottle for you. Technically it's bottled water. Specifically it's bottled tap water. And just to make sure my taste buds weren't crazy, I brought water back to my hotel and compared it to the bottled water that I bought from the market. Yep... Disgusting. And believe it or not, the tap water out of the bathroom sink actually tasted better than the bottled water at the comedy club. I can't even imagine what the food taste like. Didn't dare try it. Those are your two fair warnings. If you don't feed them and get got, it's your own fault.

We wanted to see a comedy show while in NYC, and we stumbled across this comedy club. Definitely would not be our first choice for a comedy show in the future. It seemed to be a launching point for a lot of comedians to try out, which that alone I won't fault because everyone has to start somewhere. But there was never a big hitter at any point, which is typical at a comedy show. Everyone seemed to be just starting out, and one of the sets didn't even make sense - he seemed to stop what he was doing in the middle and just move on to the next. They do require a two drink minimum here, but there was only 1 server that both took all the orders and made all the food and drinks. You had to order everything before the show started - all drinks and food - and it was a guess when it would come out. We had planned to eat dinner here, and the food don't come out until the show was nearly over - over an hour and a half after we ordered. I don't think I would've rated this comedy club as low if I had known that it was more of an amateur club going in. The show would have been more on par with that expectation.

Had a great time and all of the comedians were great! I enjoyed myself as I started my Solo birthday trip to New York with this show. The drinks were great and the waiter was very nice. I like the smaller setting and enjoyed everything.

Hmm well you have to try all the comedy clubs. This one was initially hot and crowded. They try to cram the seating and unless you get there early and you have a clear view, it might not be worth it. 2 drink minimum is really enforced. Even if you are sitting in the middle of the table, the server will find you and make contact. I tried the red dragon and the pina colada. Both were aight. Gratuity is included. Friendly servers. Comedians, 2/7 were good. Not sure if I'll be back.

Everybody did such a great job and I really loved Scorpius's character. Of course Tom Felton was there as the original Draco Malfoy, which is the entire reason that we came. If you want to during the play, you can order food to your seat which I thought was cool. The rest of the snacks were good for what they were. We booked through AAA and got a snack bag with popcorn water and a cursed child cup filled with Gummies. Everything was really good. If I could change one thing and I know this is like, "come on" but the seats were kind of uncomfortable. Google says that the Lyric Theatre was redone in 1996. She was hilarious, quick, and owned that stage in every moment she appeared. Even though I've seen her perform on tour, it felt like such a special experience to witness. We soaked in the city, took in some sights, and of course grabbed a slice while we were there. I am beyond grateful to my husband for such an incredible and thoughtful gift. Even though it's a non-traditional spin on the character, she infuses the role with her signature "hot girl" energy and is a total joy to watch on stage. Despite her massive personality, she manages not to overshadow the rest of the cast. I think that speaks volumes about the group's chemistry... she fits right in without upstaging anyone. Since it's a jukebox musical anyway, having Meg perform some of her own hits while the rest of the company joined in was a great touch. Having seen the original cast in the 2019 Moulin Rouge production, which was also wonderful, I'm really glad I got to experience both interpretations.
