When we lived closer to this area, we would come here for bagels. Most of the time, that's all it was for. We recently ate breakfast here getting omelettes and a bagel. I will say my omelette was very good, but pricing seemed a bit high especially for the setting and ambience. It was more along the lines of what we would pay at a trendy brunch spot. I will note this was before the recent slaughter of tons of chickens driving up the egg prices so that was not a factor. I got an omelette with ham, pepper jack cheese, spinach, and jalapeños. My son's last day here before he left and we always traditionally went out for bagels when he was growing up. Special times. First of all the bagel cream cheese and lox was not on the menu, so we just ordered it and we ordered two regular bagels cream cheese, lox with a little slice of onion and capers with a medium coffee and it came to $40. This is insane. My Son paid for it or I just would've walked out. We will never go back there. The guy wouldn't even answer me when I asked him how much was it for one before we ordered it. Happen to be in the area and wanted to try their bagels after driving by it for so many years. Service was good! Took maybe 8-10 mins to get my food, but had no complaints the entire time. No bad complaints about my bagel either. Bacon egg and cheese was solid and spinach bagel was chewy. The size of the bagel sandwich was standard. Ordered a bacon egg & cheese . Thought it was mediocre at best. Bagels were okay, seemed very "airy" and small . Place is overpriced for what you get. I was going to order a breakfast platter until I realized it would've been like 16-17$ for what I actually wanted. So that was a complete turn off. That was just some 3 egg whites and meat , nothing crazy. They couldn't butter a bagel, cause the butter is in packets and they don't creame cheese bagels either you do it your self. That's extremely ridiculous . Just my opinion. No fresh butter ? Odd! Just overall was a mediocre experience and there are other bagel places that are better. Service was quick. Been into this establishment on multiple occasions. All times ordering something simple example, bacon, egg and cheese, bagel, plain or bacon, egg cheese bagel on wheat. Every time I have been into this place service is slow, always out of bagels when you have the name bagel in your storefront might want to have them in stock. Always out of flavored cream cheeses. They also charged $2 for butter that wasn't even enough to fully cover the bagel and the guy said "oh we changed our prices, it used to be $2.50" as if that's any better. This morning was one of those mornings--running late, no time for breakfast, and running on empty. But then I saw the sign for Broadway Bagels and knew I had to stop. Bagels and cream cheese? Say less. When I walked in, I could tell it was a busy morning (because let's be real, bagels are everyone's best friend in the morning), but that didn't stop the two workers--one male and one female--from giving amazing service. The woman working at 7:50 AM was incredibly sweet and patient, letting me take my time even though they were clearly working hard. I grabbed three bagels--one for myself and two for coworkers--and let me tell you, they hit the spot. Maybe it was because I was starving, but they were absolutely delicious! Meh. Seems like they have changed how they do bagels here. Haven't been here in at least 5 years. Looks like they know what they are doing It's a little pricey but so is everything these days. $7.14 for plain bagel , bacon, egg and cheese. Decent sammich, but no cheese? I paid 50 cents for that darn slice of cheese. It must have fallen out when it touched the golden egg? Or maybe it got scared?! Maybe it was afraid I wouldn't like it ? Or maybe there are too many people in the kitchen and no one is responsible for making things right ? I honestly have never been too big of a breakfast person much less a bagel person then my friends took me here when I came to their house and I also spent the night and we had so much fun and also the next day we ate here and it changed EVERYTHING. this place and the flavors light it up and it's freaking delicious I wish I could go here everyday but I don't live close so it's only a special treat for when I visit my friends and spend the night at their house and we go here the next day. Unfortunately, the owner is very rude. I have come here three or four times a week for years and while the food is good they have continued to raise prices three times over the last year. My two bagels went from being $8.50 to $12.00. It takes a while to make the food so I always call ahead. Unfortunately, if they put you on hold they never come back to the line. This has happened to me at least 15 times. If you finally hang up you can't call back because it's busy because they don't actually put you on hold and you can hear everything going on in the restaurant. They always say that walk-in customers have first priority which makes sense and I am not upset about; but in reality, the issue is they just forget about you being on hold because I can hear that they are no longer taking orders repeatedly for minutes while being on hold and then can hear when a new customer walks in and they start taking orders again. Today, I finally complained and the owner was incredibly rude and I stated that they just shouldn't put people on hold if they aren't coming back to the line and she stated in a very rude tone that she will put up a sign and acted like it was no big deal that they have wasted 10-12 minutes of my time at least 15 times not to mention delayed orders after driving there and waiting. All the owner had to do was say I'm sorry and we will work on remembering when people are on hold. In reality, the majority of the employees only make minimum wage so you can't expect much but the rudeness of the owner has made it that I will no longer patronize this establishment. She clearly doesn't care about her customers. She bought it from her parents a few years ago and I have been coming here for 22 years. It's a real shame. If the owner wants to be successful especially after reading the other reviews she needs to work on her emotional intelligence and customer service. read more

We are regulars of Broadway bagel and have been coming for over 10 years but today was our last trip. We tried to continue to support this business but things have become so egregious that it is no longer possible to tolerate. First, they claim to close at 2:30. Today we arrived at 1:30. They had 3 bagels left - only blueberry and chocolate chip. The chairs were stacked on the tables. The owner was mopping the floor directly next to our table with the bucket of dirty water right next to us. This was absolutely disgusting. There was no tea nor were there willing to make more. The coffee dispensers were off the counter. If you try to come at 2, you are met with faces of disgust behind the counter with "did you clean the grill already" like you are a complete burden to these people. You will see palmetto bugs climbing up the walls at times. If you want to have access to "bagels" you have to be there before 11 am. It is complete insanity but what is even worse is that they have no desire to accommodate you in any way. The ownership changed from parents to daughter and when that occurred the place took a dive in every way. My boys and I used to look forward to coming here but we will not be returning any more. Don't waste your time coming If this is how they are going to run it, they should just shut down at noon & actually serve food and not start cleaning up around you until they lock the door at noon. I stop by to get 2 bagel sandwiches to go to surprise my wife with a breakfast and ALL 3 times my orders have been wrong after I have repeated myself multiple times while ordering. However my friend pointed out that the lady at the register had put in my order as a breakfast sandwich and was charging me $8.99 for my bagel. And trust me I was not ordering a blueberry and bacon sandwich. I don't even like bacon but you know gotta get that protein in. GAINZZZ. I ended up giving it away at school. They don't know it fell on the floor. I'm just kidding I'm not that mean. Anyways I kindly explained the miscommunication and she groans and goes ugh. This other lady came over and said it would be cheaper for me to have it as a side. She was very nice. Unlike the register lady. The lady at the register got all mad and said very rudely "well idk how to do a refund so". And then the nice lady showed her and I said thank you as she gave me my refund and she said "well don't walk away yet u basically just got that for free". And I said oh I'm sorry. Went in about an hour before close. Staff was rather rude but seemed really nice to all the nice looking young girls who came in. We arrived at Broadway Bagels @1:45 pm on Monday, May 31, 2021! We noticed that the chairs were already being stacked. We DID notice closing time was 2:30 PM. First, we were not greeted and the person first taking the order MADE SURE he told us they were OUT OF ALMOST EVERYTHING. It seemed to us that they were trying to tell us to leave!! Fortunately another customer came in and we placed our order. 2 Hot Pastrami sandwiches!! Sandwiches were dry, dry, dry. The ONLY saving grace was the small serving of potato salad. Needless to say, Broadway Bagels has gone to the dogs. I first went to Broadway Bagels in 1997 with some of my colleagues. Back then, the Hot Pastrami sandwich was PRIMO!!! They have a large bagel selection here, and these Jewish delights are cheap at .95 a pop. I went with a less traditional offering: Jalapeno Salsa. To wash down the spice, I also got a blueberry muffin. The bagel was a bit different than most. It was not very dense on the inside, and the outside was crustier than usual. A nice change in bagel texture. The blueberry muffin had a nice crumble on top, and the inside was moist and chock full of antioxidants. Sweet little hometown spot. Changed over the years, not what it is 10yrs ago but I'll go for a bagel once in awhile. Priced to high for plastic baskets, utensils &paper plates. They're equivalent to panera if not higher.
