THE WORST. BRAIN IS HORRIBLE. HE didn't try to investigate and sort any electrical issues I clearly explained. They immediately concluded the $2000 signal acquisition module was the problem. Overcharging the customer is the priority not finding the problem. Surprise: Due to laziness and a total lack of any ethical responsibility to customers. My car's electrical issue a constant drain on the battery due an electrical system glitch (the reason I gave them the car). They allowed my new battery to be completely drained as the car sat in their lot. So in 2 days while they waited for $2000 dollars my new battery was completely killed. The drain on the battery never sorted. When I asked how the battery was completely drained. Brain lied to me. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. THEY WILL OVERCHARGE AND NOT FIX THE PROBLEM! read more

Based on concise feedback and instant research during the phone call on driving out to get complete the job this morning. I thought it would take me few weeks of casting about on Amazon for the right parts. Instead I'm going to show up and have it done correctly. Step 2 - Final Design Got here and talked to Brian. He quickly convinced me to simplify my design based on the use case of batteries I want to deploy. His redesign was based on his common sense actual use of similar systems. I took over a suspected bad alternator to have it checked, and rebuilt. To my surprise, after only 5 minutes, they had bench tested it and said there was nothing wrong with it. I took it back down the the boat, fixed the shorted wire with a new terminal, installed it, and viola! We are back on the water! They also took some time to explain how the alternator works and why the shorted terminal could have not ruined the unit. They could have very easily just said, yeah, we can rebuild it. Don't let the cluttered shop put you off! These guys are miracle workers. I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 that was plagued with electrical problems for over two years. It had been to multiple repair shops with the same result. A Big Bill and continued engine stalls, lights burning out, false engine check lights, etc. That all changed when I met "The Pros From Dover!". They fixed the wiring harness problem in a few hours and charged a very fair amount to do so. Highly recommend these fine gentlemen! read more

I had a bad experience with them. Executive Summary: (1) They diagnosed the A/C problem properly, (2) They incorrectly diagnosed the replacement part, (3) They damaged three other parts of my car, (4) They didn't fix the A/C system, and (5) They refuted responsibility for the other damages. The Experience: I took my car to them to fix the A/C system. They removed the dashboard correctly diagnosed the problem and couldn't fix it because they didn't have the part. I got the part and had them examine it. They said that it was in worse condition than my original part. I replaced the part and the A/C system worked. I told them that the A/C system worked and I returned my car to them and they replaced everything -- A/C controller, radio, and dashboard. After getting my car, the A/C system didn't work again. Moreover, I discovered damage to other parts of my car. In particular -- (1) The dashboard was scratched, (2) A part was missing from the steering column, and (3) The shift indicator was off by one slot (e.g., while in drive, the indicator was on the 'L2' mark). I called them about the damages and they stated that they could not have occurred at their shop. (Note: No one had worked on my car after they had worked on it.) Meanwhile, I arranged to have them determine what was wrong with the A/C system after I had fixed it. I took my car back to them, they remove the dashboard again, they showed me what was wrong, I turned on my car, and the A/C system worked. They responded that it wouldn't work after the A/C controller was installed in the dashboard and that several improvements would need to be done to the A/C system in order to make it work. I said that I would discuss this situation with the auto shop that referred me to them and determine what to do. Before leaving, I asked them what they could do about the damages that were done to my car during the second time that I took it to them. They once again stated that the damages couldn't have occurred at their shop. I pointed out to them that no one had worked on my car after they had worked on it. Their response was "I don't know." Needless to say, I don't want to take my car to them again for fear that my car might suffer further damages. Conclusion: I understand that a person might say that others have had much worse experiences with auto repair jobs. My situation is that this car was specially ordered by my father. I bought it from him in April, 1984. I take extraordinary care of it, honoring my father. Others who have similar situations will understand why I am upset with my experience at Broadway Auto Electric. Especially regarding the damages that they did to my (father's) car. read more

I had my car towed here for the same pulley on my alternator i needed changed since I talked with the son abt it when my car was working but I was told by Ricks son to keep driving it & then ended up snapping the belt while driving & broke down. I was quoted $160 the first time I came & now tht I actually was broken down and in need, (bringing my car in by tow truck now), they tried charging me $300 even though they just changed the pulley, (not my whole alternator), and maybe he forgot what he quoted me last time (for the same exact thing) bc I asked why so much & the older man Rick said we'll come pick it up & we'll work it out & ended up charging me $280. $20 off is nothing & is still too much especially when Rick was telling me it's a simple pulley replacement & the younger guy cut him off & was like well maybe we'll see... just to be told that indeed was all it was & still charged me wayyy too much for what I was already quoted for. I'm a girl, i had no backup I just paid & left unfortunately; I needed my car back. The belt stays on now & my car drives good, but when I got it back the mileage wasn't showing or any of my electronic monitored & I asked him abt it & he said idk it should turn back on.. which it did, but now when I turn the A/C on it makes a loud ugly cranking noise & it won't go away so they gave me new problems that make my car seem even older and raggedy then it was before I brought it here. DO NOT GO HERE ALONE IF YOU ARE A FEMALE WHO DOESN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT CARS. THEY WILL TRY TO BE UNTRUSTWORTHY, SHIESTY AND GET OVER ON YOU. My husband went here to get his car fixed they did fix it but an hour later same problem so he went back to get it fixed.after that husband went home and next thing you know same prob appeared. He was not able to go back because the car was stuck at home so finally after a week he was able to bring it back to this shop but this jackass BRIAN was very rude and even the jackass manager RICK dont even care and they wont honor warranty! This is a very strange place. Very strange indeed. My work and customer service experience was very touch and go. I had some electrical problems with my car, Audi A4 '01, and it seemed like a real hassle to actually have an intelligent conversation with the actual mechanic. The guy at the "front desk" was great and very hospitable. This is all from the phone as I never actually went to the shop for fear that I would berate the mechanic, for lacking knowledge of how to change a simple headlight. Yeah, about the actual work, I had my car towed to this shop because of electrical problems, stated above. I also had a headlight out, which the mechanic told me that he needed to "drop the bumper" to actually reach my headlight and that I needed to replace the entire light fixture, all before he even tested whether the light bulb was out. A huge clue about how this particular runs the place. COMPLETE BULL SH*T!!! I told him that is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard to be uttered from a mechanic's cheating mouth, but unfortunately I think he actually believed what he was saying, which is even more scary. I did eventually have to explain to the guy how to take off the plastic cap and take out the bulb and put in the new one. A very frustrating experience overall, but the work was eventually done, however not the initial electric issue, which didn't occur when it was in their possession, so I just had them reset my computer and that seemed to fix the problems, for now. I took the generator and starter for my 41 cadillac, I specifically told them that I'm restoring the car and I wanted it painted correctly and that I didnt want paint over the emblem, when I got it back it looked like a three year old just slapped paint all over it. My mother was the office manager for an Auto and Electric repair and parts distributer for 25-years. I know what to expect and how I need to be treated by a repair shop. So, being spoiled, I can be easily disappointed when I need something repaired, and I see the big push for a sale....That didn't happen here!! Top notch, basic, even small town, friendly customer service. My 98 Toyota Camry wouldn't turn over..Battery wouldn't charge. Had it towed to Broadway Auto and electric. The Old Girl Needed a new starter. They had the starter in stock, or a very reliable parts supplier, the car was completed within the day. It was $138.00 for the Part and an hour and a half of labor. Long Story short, Brian was awesome to deal with. Very personable on the phone and in person. He got me the exact battery I needed right away and even suggested an alternative one if I didn't want to spend as much (saying it works just as good but slightly less power) but I wound up sticking with the one I know works (why change something if it's not broke right?). I wanted to thank Juan Marquez and the employees at Broadway Auto Electric for a great experience! I took my vehicle to BAE to try and find out what was going on with my electrical system. Juan looked at my vehicle and informed me that the problem did not appear to be an electrical issue. He then inspected the vehicle further and told me what may be the problem (no charge), however they did not perform the type of work I needed. However with his information, I was able to get the appropriate work done at another shop that did that type of work. Juan and his folks went over and beyond to assist me with my issue. When I do have an issue that they do work on, he better believe I will be going to Broadway Auto Electric to get it repaired.
