They also sell and deliver soil and a variety of decorative rocks. Alex is a member of the family that owns the business and handles the plants. She stocks all the usual annuals and perennials but also finds some new varieties that are very fetching. They also have a large variety of bushes from roses to hydrangeas and tall grasses. Not coming through because I missed a one-year window by a week is unfair and shortsighted. One would be better off buying from Lowe's or Home Depot a quarter mile north. What does one receive for the premium pricing? Better plants? Nope, mine died. Better service? Nope, denied replacement because of a week. The value is not there.

We spent a lot of time researching where to get them and saw many great reviews for Pryor's Nursery. I reached out with some questions and Wade was wonderful at addressing everything. He is incredibly knowledgeable and is happy to take the time to answer any questions you may have. Their prices were also very reasonable compared to other nurseries we looked at. We ended up purchasing 33, 10-foot tall green giant arborvitae and had Pryor's install them for us. The crew showed up on the day of the install and the trees were lush and many feet larger than we expected, which was a very pleasant surprise. Wade and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were respectful and clean. The installed trees and mulch bed look better than we could have hoped. They even installed a drip line with an automatic timer to help water all the trees! If you are looking for privacy trees, it'd be impossible to beat the quality, price, and professionalism of Pryor's Nursery!

In search of some bird feeder related items for my parents I visited the Wild Bird Center in Park Plaza for the first time in December. I am so sorry I didn't visit sooner. This store is fantastic! As the name implies, they have plenty of quality bird feeders and a variety of bird seed that is appropriate for the local birds. I was in search of seed for my parents' Squirrel Buster bird feeder that would attract little cute birds and not make a mess. The staff was able to immediately point me to the best seed for that scenario. With my errand complete, I then enjoyed looking around the store at garden decor, hand painted ornaments, wind chimes, books, and such, I think I might even have seen some bees wax products. As far as the staff goes, they are delightful and helpful! I really enjoyed their welcoming and positive spirit and all of my interactions with them. The outside area is a typical garden plant area, with a heavy emphasis on native and bee friendly plants (though you can also find roses, fall mums, herbs, and other garden plants). You'll find some unusual plants mixed though, like 8,483 different varieties of bee balm (I'm not really good at estimates, but that seems right to me), ironweed, meadow sage, and the like. Inside, there's an interesting "country shop," where you can purchase honey and beeswax candles, as well as preserves, unique sodas (Sarsaparilla, anyone?), and some fruits and vegetables. Being focused also on bees, you can also purchase beekeeping supplies here, too. All of the plants I've bought have done really well, and I really enjoy grabbing a cold soft drink, too!

The gentleman who delivered the flowers (perhaps Michael) instructed me on how to care for the flowers and was very friendly. Next time I am in need of flowers I will think to this small business.
