I had the Frankie sandwich on a plain bagel. D-lish!! There were Plenty of bagels to choose from at 1:15 in the afternoon. I'm not likely to be awake and out of the house with a thirty minute drive early enough to score the purchase of any. However, my wife had recently just heard about Pearl's, and we happened to be passing in the neighborhood thirty minutes before their 2 PM closing. Yes, they were still open, and no, they didn't have any bagel's left. In fact, that was the very first thing the clerk announced as we came through the door. "We are sold out of bagels and cannot make any sandwiches." As we looked at the small display case we saw four different pastries on a plate. My wife asked what they were and chose two. One was a strawberry marshmallow muffin and the other was some kind of brownie combination ($11 for the two). Once we returned home we were ready to share them. The muffin was super fresh, soft, and very enjoyable. But we didn't believe that there was a strong strawberry flavor and neither of us detected a marshmallow flavor. It didn't matter! This was a delicious muffin no matter what the flavor was supposed to be. The brownie "thing" might have been what their website menu calls a "Featured Daily Brownie." This looked like they used their challah dough to roll up around brownie mix like you would make a cinnamon roll with cinnamon/sugar instead of the brownie mix. Whatever, it was a total success. It was delicious with two different chewy textures and lots of flavor. Maybe some day my wife or I will have to be in Albany around 9 AM and get to try the bagels.

I am originally from Los Angeles and have learned to appreciate good bagels since moving to upstate NY for schools. This particular spot was recommended by a Long Island Jewish classmate of mine, so I knew this was real. We walked in on a Tuesday morning and the place was not too busy. It was obvious that locals were constantly in and out, always a good sign! I was feeling a little extra so I ordered the egg, cheese, and sausage on an everything bagel...WOW!!! It think this might be my favorite bagel to date. The bagel was just the right amount of bready, soft, crunchy, and warm. I am definitely coming back here! I also ordered an iced oatmilk latte which was okay, nothing special. I would recommend grabbing a bagel here and going to Morning Bird for an iced latte. Prices are fair and the service was good. Plus there is free wifi and plenty of working space!

It seems like people like to hang out there. We did get a seat. We both got the Mediterranean sandwich. I got mine on an everyday bagel and my friend got it on a rosemary bagel. My friend was very disappointed in her bagel. She said it was very "bready" and lacked flavor. Mine was just OK too. It didn't taste the same as what I usually get at the other location in Delmar. It was just as big and had the same ingredients but it just didn't taste the same for some reason. It actually had an overwhelming amount of avocado on it and it kept falling out. The vanilla chai latte was delicious!

I thought, "yum," but was sadly disappointed when my bagel was garnished with more topping and red pepper flakes than anyone who has taste buds could tolerate. Typical "I love VT" t shirts and stuffies in the window, $400 syrup, and artsy cards and candles etc. Making our way to the back was a small nook of seats and tables and a breakfast/sandwich/bagel menu. To say we were skeptical was an understatement. My son ordered a Southwestern steak and egg sandwich on a rainbow bagel. I had a dill pickle chicken salad sandwich on an everything bagel. Add in a coffee, a hot chocolate, two cans of Diet Coke (and a small cheesecake round for my son) and we were all set. Menu was way more reasonably priced than we expected. Average bagel sandwich (which they fill amply) was roughly $10. All of the fillings were very good. Well seasoned. Creative. Again, exceeded our initial expectations. Even the bagels were surprisingly good. Please note I grew up in NJ so a bagel is essentially unattainable to me north of the Tappanzee Bridge. I was expecting "airport quality," however, it was not half bad. Chewy and tasty for the area. Service left me with two very distinct feelings. 1) the people were AWESOME. Friendly, attentive, seemingly happy to be at work (a rarity). But... 2) there were 6 total customers in the store (some simply reading books) and yet it took 16 minutes for our coffee and hot chocolate and roughly 30 for the sandwiches. Was so weird to experience the quiet of the store - yet the ticket time and wait of a bustling morning at a deli. Oh well. Was a pleasant place to be. Will likely find a different place next week following our upcoming appointment. But was not mad at the experience.

I placed an order at the counter to eat in, an egg everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, untoasted, and a side of home fries. The bagel was really good, a little average, but very enjoyable. I appreciated the thick schemer of cream cheese, and it tasted like they mixed it up in house. The side of home fries was massive! They were nice and soft but still crispy on the edges, I added some salt pepper and hot sauce at the table and they were perfect. They offer a ton of different breakfast and lunch options. I will definitely come back to try something else. This location is very convenient, especially with all of the doctor's offices near by.
