Easily the best bagel I have had in my life.
    Corie Y.

Dare I say, best bagel I have ever had?! I woke up Saturday morning extra early and I was craving a bagel, I remembered that Broad Street Bagel opened a spot in Slingerlands. A quick 11 minute drive from Colonie, I was there before 8am. It's a very unassuming spot in what seems to be an apartment complex. Only a few people were inside and I was greeted by the most amazing scent of fresh bagels. I ordered an egg everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, not toasted. I am a firm believer that fresh bagels do not need to be toasted, and I made the correct choice. I also ordered an iced coffee, it was better than I expected so that's a plus. I sat in one of the booths and when I had my first bite, It turned into a spiritual experience. It was soft, but dense, chewy, savory, the cream cheese tasted fresh and the cold cream cheese against the soft and chewy bagel was a bite sent from the heavens. I sat there is awe that I just found the best bagel I have ever had, 11 minutes from my home. I have had bagels from all over that can't top this. I savored every bite, it made my day. I can't wait to come back. It was kinda empty when I was there, so make sure you check it out! The best bagels in the area, or anywhere.

As someone from Long Island, I'm always on the hunt for a good BEC in Albany to satisfy the craving and Broad street bagel is pretty decent! If I had to rank them, I'd put Broad street at the top but there's also not many places around here. The bagel was pretty good! I've heard lots of good things about this place and am glad they opened one closer to Albany than Kinderhook! Could have a harder shell but that could have also be due to the fact that I ordered for pick up which was super quick and easy. The store is also pretty amenable and clean to doing work in too. Overall tasty, will probably be back!

It's fine. They make a good chewy bagel, nothing super special. The cream cheese selection is good and the space is nice. Service leaves something to be desired. The girl taking orders when we were there on a Saturday morning was highly unenthused and just wordlessly pointed to a board on the wall when we asked her a question. My partner wanted the lox cream cheese, it was correct on the receipt stapled to our bag, but what he got was the pimento olive -- not sure what happened there, but we were already home when we noticed so he just ate it. Not rushing to go back, there's a better option closer to home.

So excited to have another good bagel place nearby, and this one is so close and convenient! I ordered my bagels in advance to pick up on a Saturday morning. When I arrived they were all set to go, and since I had already paid, I was in and out quickly. The bagels are tasty and have a nice chewy texture. Exactly what you would expect from a well made bagel.

I've always wanted to take the ride to Kinderhook to try these but never did. I'm sooo glad they opened this Slingerlands location. It was jumping on a Saturday at 10Am. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. They have great breakfast options and even baked goods. The line moved along so quickly. Beautiful kitchen space. Glad to have stopped by! The everything bagels don't have enough seasoning on them for my preference but otherwise they'd get 5 stars!

I was first hooked on broad Street bagels when they became available at the four corners. Sadly, they stopped carrying them, but I was very excited when I heard about them opening up a new location. It's easy in/out, tap and pay, plenty of parking, great menu of food and drinks, and top notch service. Plenty of seating and nice and cool inside. Very exciting to have them in town.

When you handle money while wearing gloves and proceed to use those same gloved hands to prepare my bagel sandwich, FORGET ABOUT IT. Additionally, it was a sad sandwich. I ordered the NY lox which was supposed to have capers ( I counted 5) and red onion (barely). I was not impressed. Do yourself a favor and go to Pearl's Bagels and Bakery at 16 Picotte Dr. Albany.

Amazing breakfast bagels and delicious pizza as well. Great place for remote work or a family dinner.

Cost and exactly what we ordered.

Typical "I love VT" t shirts and stuffies in the window, $400 syrup, and artsy cards and candles etc. Making our way to the back was a small nook of seats and tables and a breakfast/sandwich/bagel menu. To say we were skeptical was an understatement. My son ordered a Southwestern steak and egg sandwich on a rainbow bagel. I had a dill pickle chicken salad sandwich on an everything bagel. Add in a coffee, a hot chocolate, two cans of Diet Coke (and a small cheesecake round for my son) and we were all set. Menu was way more reasonably priced than we expected. Average bagel sandwich (which they fill amply) was roughly $10. All of the fillings were very good. Well seasoned. Creative. Again, exceeded our initial expectations. Even the bagels were surprisingly good. Please note I grew up in NJ so a bagel is essentially unattainable to me north of the Tappanzee Bridge. I was expecting "airport quality," however, it was not half bad. Chewy and tasty for the area. Service left me with two very distinct feelings. 1) the people were AWESOME. Friendly, attentive, seemingly happy to be at work (a rarity). But... 2) there were 6 total customers in the store (some simply reading books) and yet it took 16 minutes for our coffee and hot chocolate and roughly 30 for the sandwiches. Was so weird to experience the quiet of the store - yet the ticket time and wait of a bustling morning at a deli. Oh well. Was a pleasant place to be. Will likely find a different place next week following our upcoming appointment. But was not mad at the experience.

The bagel was really good, a little average, but very enjoyable. I appreciated the thick schemer of cream cheese, and it tasted like they mixed it up in house. The side of home fries was massive! They were nice and soft but still crispy on the edges, I added some salt pepper and hot sauce at the table and they were perfect. They offer a ton of different breakfast and lunch options. I will definitely come back to try something else. This location is very convenient, especially with all of the doctor's offices near by.

My family felt a bagel would make a great mid-morning breakfast/early lunch option, so we gave Hudson Bagels a try. Each of us was quite pleased with our experience! My family and I couldn't have been happier with our visit. The only downside was the limited amount of indoor seating available, but that's not a complaint--rather, just something to know if you're planning of stopping in for a bagel. If the weather is cold, the outdoor seating isn't likely an option. I highly recommend Hudson Bagels! If I ever make it back to Hudson, I'll visit this shop again! :-)

One thing I noticed about these bagels is that there's a lot of seasoning on them. All the bagels in the display seemed heavily seasoned--whether it was everything, garlic, onion, or whatever, they were covered in it. The bagel itself wasn't bad. I've had worse down in the city, so I was pleasantly surprised. Not as much chew as I'd like, but still tasty.

What else is on the menu besides Bagels?…read more I saw a lot of Jewish neighborhood items like bialys, smoked salmon, egg creams. whitefish salad, baked salmon salad, corned beef, matzoh ball soup, pastrami, chopped chicken liver, rugelach, and brisket among the seemingly hundreds of other choices. Simply put, Great Barrington Bagel is one fantastic place of fantastic choices. Let's start with their bagels, I mean after all, that's the namesake of the place. They make them the traditional NYC way - boiled and then baked in a 500-degree oven for a dense crust and chewy interior. How many kinds of bagels do they make? How about 21, plus spinoff types like bialys and flagels (flat crusty bagels). Oh, and do you want cream cheese on top of that particular bagel you had to agonizingly choose among? Well, be prepared for another tough choice, because GBBC has 17 flavors of cream cheeses. I ordered a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup with Matzoh Ball ($4.75) and a BLT on a jalapeno bagel ($8.50). Their indoor tables are still not available, but there were maybe six big picnic tables with benches outside. Everything was occupied when we walked outside with our food, including one table where an unsmiling matronly type nursing a cup of Dunkin Donuts informed us in no uncertain terms that she was holding that table for her friends' arrival, and she'd rather not share her precious table with us. Anyway, we eventually found a table and enjoyed our lunch. My soup was great! Lots of big carrot chunks, delicious tender chicken chunks, and a very good matzoh ball, served with bagel chips. The BLT had quite a bit of perfectly cooked Hickory Smoked Bacon. I had my Jalapeno bagel toasted. It was served with a sour pickle spear and was a real good combination of tastes and textures. My only quibble was the Jalapeno Bagel itself, it just wasn't very "jalapeno-y" to me. But that was just a teeny tiny blip on the day's radar. Well, that and the guardian of the bench, who was still sitting there by herself as we cleaned up our trash and left. As I was leaving, I looked her in the eyes and said, "Hope you enjoy your lunch". Sensing none of my sarcasm, she smiled and said thanks.
