Every time I'm in Rotterdam I think I want to stop in and now I finally did. On my endless quest to find bagels that are as good as downstate bagels I was hopeful. The place was hopping but the line was efficient. I ordered the classic bagel with cream cheese, lox, capers and onion. It was served quickly and it was delicious! I ordered 6 more bagels to go. The tomato flavor intrigued me. It is tangy and very flavorful. The bagels themselves taste fresh with a nice bite and a chewy interior. I love this neighborhood spot. I know its not cute on the outside but give it a chance if you're driving by. The bagels, which are second to none outside of NYC, are house made from scratch before the crack of dawn everyday by the owner himself! Talk about attention to detail! My favorite sandwich here is the turkey gobble on a hard roll,delish! This place is family owned and operated. It is THE spot for breakfast and lunch for the local community! AND because of that it reminds me very much of Luke's diner from the Gilmore girls if you have ever seen that show before. Well they have good bagels, I feel their price point is just a little too high. They also are a little skimpy on what they give you. A bagel with cream cheese should have a significant amount of cream cheese, it should not be a passing thought. I get that a place has to make a profit, however at least price points oh, it would make me second-guess whether I would return here or not. Bagels were nice and soft. The chive cream cheese had a nice flavor. My significant other said the maple walnut cream cheese was great because it was not too sweet. I would have gone four stars but the three cheese Asiago bagel didn't have much of a cheesy flavor. I will be back to try some of their other bagel flavors. This place is a gem! The bagels are definitely fresh. They have a nice crunchy exterior and a soft interior, superb bagels!! They have a pretty good selection of bagels, personally I got the jalapeño cheese and it wasn't overly spicy. They have juice, coffee, and bai drinks. Cream cheese is made in house with philly cream cheese as the base and they mix in other things with it. They do accept credit cards with a $5 minimum. It seems like this place gets pretty busy. I went on a Saturday morning and it was packed! I happened to get one of the last spots. So when you walk in, it's a little bit of a cluster. I really want to like this place and support local business but every time I go, there is an issue. I don't know why I continue to go back. I guess because the one time my order was correct, it was a good sandwich. So today, I gave them another shot. I ALWAYS order a Meat Lovers on Everything wherever I go. EVERY TIME. This place is sort of in a random location if you're driving from albany. However, the bagels are AMAZING. Definitely on par with NYC if not better than some places in the city. Place is clean employees are very nice it didn't take a long time but if you were in a rush rush expect to spend a couple more minutes, fresh coffee With multiple different kinds. I also had wedding soup which was delicious and a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel which I will drive from Albany for. Make it one of your stops I did forget pictures next time. The hazelnut creme was a little sweet for me, but I may have just added too much sugar in my coffee so I'm willing to give it another shot. I got an everything bagel with plain cream cheese (I'm not very adventurous with my bagel selections) and it had great flavor!
