Veggie Sandwich

I love this neighborhood spot. I know its not cute on the outside but give it a chance if you're driving by. The bagels, which are second to none outside of NYC, are house made from scratch before the crack of dawn everyday by the owner himself! Talk about attention to detail! My favorite sandwich here is the turkey gobble on a hard roll, delish! This place is family owned and operated. It is THE spot for breakfast and lunch for the local community! AND because of that it reminds me very much of Luke's diner from the Gilmore girls if you have ever seen that show before. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 full stars it merely because nothing besides the bagels are made in house, but otherwise good food, served (usually) with a smile!

Bagels were nice and soft. The chive cream cheese had a nice flavor. My significant other said the maple walnut cream cheese was great because it was not too sweet. I would have gone four stars but the three cheese Asiago bagel didn't have much of a cheesy flavor. I will be back to try some of their other bagel flavors. They had a variety of both iced and hot coffees. The pumpkin spice coffee was very good. Someone wrote in a review that they only accept cash. They now take credit cards!

This place is a gem! The bagels are definitely fresh. They have a nice crunchy exterior and a soft interior, superb bagels!! They have a pretty good selection of bagels, personally I got the jalapeño cheese and it wasn't overly spicy. They have juice, coffee, and bai drinks. Cream cheese is made in house with philly cream cheese as the base and they mix in other things with it. They do accept credit cards with a $5 minimum. It seems like this place gets pretty busy. I went on a Saturday morning and it was packed! I happened to get one of the last spots. So when you walk in, it's a little bit of a cluster. But the staff is great and tried to get everyone done as quickly as possible.

The closest thing BY FAR in the capital region you can possibly get to NYC quality bagels. Their selections are phemonial and their bagel varity is my favorite. I WISH they would open up an albany location (i would be there every day) or more locations in general, but i will gladly drive out of my way to give myself the treat every now and again. The service is amazing and the buisness has the cutest little mom and pop shop feel. Do yourself a favor and go!

When visiting relatives in the area, we always stop by Bagel and Bakes for our coffee and fresh bagels. Bagels are baked daily , no preservatives and are the best we can find in the local area. Bagels have nice crust, and soft interior . All popular varieties from pumpernickel, everything, poppy seed etc, even cheese, blueberry . Coffee in a variety of regular and decaf flavors. This little shop also offers daily soup, sandwich , salad and a variety of baked goods such as cookies and muffins etc. The shop is clean and bright and usually very busy during breakfast and mid mornings. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Really a nice place to have coffee and a nosh for breakfast or lunch. Our lunch, tasty tuna on a bagel and chicken salad on a bed of lettuce

A "Meat Lovers" on Everything. No, I didn't run it over with my car.

The staff was rude and the bagels are, at best, Dunkin caliber but they are the only act in town on Sundays.

When I moved to the capital region 7 years ago, I expected that some place around here actually knew how to make a bagel.

He had an Onion Bagel with veggie cc. I had a Asiago Cheese with lite plain cc. PS Their veggie cc is better than Uncommon Grounds because it has more veggie bits. I placed an order at the counter to eat in, an egg everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, untoasted, and a side of home fries. It was only $7, which felt like a steal once it was placed in front of me. I was really happy they offered an egg everything bagel because they have been a favorite lately. The bagel was really good, a little average, but very enjoyable. I appreciated the thick schemer of cream cheese, and it tasted like they mixed it up in house. The side of home fries was massive! They were nice and soft but still crispy on the edges, I added some salt pepper and hot sauce at the table and they were perfect. They offer a ton of different breakfast and lunch options. I will definitely come back to try something else. This location is very convenient, especially with all of the doctor's offices near by.

R Gershon's Deli (Facebook) Dear Friends of Gershon's, It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with our loyal customers, friends, staff, and extended family. I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Geshon's Deli & Caterers. Friday, January 30th, 2026, was our final day. This decision was not made lightly as Gershon's has been an integral part of my life since I was a little girl. After my father's untimely passing, I took over with one clear mission, to honor his legacy, keep his dream alive, and continue providing quality service and "good food for good people." For more than 60 years, Gershon's has been shaped by the people who walked through our doors. Every employee, customer, client, and friend has played a role in our story and our success. Unfortunately, rising food costs, ongoing economic challenges, the lasting effects of COVID, and the loss of my final opportunity this week have left me with no other choice. To everyone who has supported me over the past nine years, thank you. Thank you for the memories, for trusting us with your celebrations, holidays, milestones, and everyday moments. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives, in both the joyful times and the hard ones. I will miss seeing you all more than I can put into words. I am deeply grateful for the love and support you've shown me and my family over the years. I wish vou all nothina but the best. Please take care

On good days, they can serve one of the best sandwiches. Otherwise, I've had several occasions where I was left wondering why my pastrami sandwich was literally two pieces of bread with a small bit of pastrami - no dressing or anything else, and no questions asked. I like the attentiveness of the staff whenever we come here in person whether for diner in or takeaway, and their fresh pickles are wonderfully crunchy and worth looking forward to. They have some delicious pies, too, and the chocolate cream pie is our fave. I would go back, but the inconsistency over time certainly has dampened my enthusiasm that I may have once had.
