They were super responsive, sending pictures and information and helping weigh pros and cons. They put the bike I was interested in on hold, and I came by to test it out. The process was seamless, and I bought the bike. They kept it a few days to check it over in the shop and make sure it was ready for me, and then I picked it up. The bike has been great, but unfortunately, after more than a year of daily use, the derailleur somehow got bent. They told me to swing by and I did. The person in the shop took a look, straightened it out, refilled my air, and I was on my way in 15 minutes. Great, straightforward service from people who know and love bikes.

Longer version (for the brave) - my friend has gave me his bicycle- the seat was too high and the lights were broken, as I'm completely clueless about these things I was sure wherever I'll go to someone will try to rip me off. A quick search has ended in this shop which is down the street, the seat was too high and my lights were really messed up, they re-wired the whole thing for a fair price. And lowered the seat a couple of times until I was pleased. Don't let the looks of the shop fool you - despite its "simpleness" the people who work here are nice and helpful, and they will answer your questions with patience and listen to your problems. Came back the day after as I thought it's not working, and I was a bit angry, but then realized the problem was me - as the Dynamo was just not touching the wheel because I didn't push it, silly me :) Anyway, got a quick explanation and even help with other bike- related issues I've had. Not a fancy, shiny showroom, but a dirty, gritty room where bikes are getting worked on. This is the closest shop to where I am so it's convenient for new tubes or other necessary fix-it parts. You can also rent or buy bikes here, but the selection is not super huge. It's better as a place to take your bike to get worked on.

Ali (shop owner) was quick, honest, and knowledgable about bike locks as well. There were other closer shops to my residence, but I MUST admit, Ali and Bikefix was well worth the commute. Only after explaining them twice they solved the new problem but didn't show any motivation in doing so. And I do speak German so that couldn't be the problem I won't go there again!
