It's filled with fresh pastries baked in house, lots of local goodies/ brands and a small selection of fresh produce. I came in the winter so could also attribute to the small selection of produce that day. You can even find local meats in their large fridge/ freezer section. I came to buy some local honey which I found at a reasonable price. Everyone that came into the store seemed like they were regulars around the area. I'd come back for more stuff in the future if I'm in the area. Love supporting local and love having local products in my grocery hauls.

Located in a mainly industrial area, there is parking towards the side and rear of the building. Inside there are rows and shelves of fresh breads, danishes, strudels, pies, focaccia, cookies, croissants and even a grocery cart of baguettes. I tried an apple danish on this occasion. The pastry was flaky with a crispy exterior but a nice softness inside. The apple filing had real apple slices and was sweet and slightly sticky. Everything was well balanced and delicious. We took it to a friend's house that night and it was exquisite! My friends who said that they normally don't like cake now have a new addiction. The cake had the perfect texture to it to hold up all that amazing fresh cream, lemon curd and blueberries and it was also a perfect balance of sweetness. I've been there on multiple occasions while living in Markham usually interacting with the staff in bakery and the cashiers and everyone I have encountered has been lovely. I didn't pay attention to the pricing, but I just caught another review afterwards that said they sell cheaper than grocery stores. If that's the case, it may be worth coming here for that then. I picked up a marble rye, hot dog buns and cheese sticks, as well as a date square. All were perfectly fine, but nothing that jumped out at me - apart from the date square. If my review was on that alone, I would give it 5 stars. I found a parking spot steps away from this store's main entrance. I backed into the spot. I had to wait for a woman with horrible pull-in parking skills to get her act together and park next to me after a few tries. I then left my car and headed inside the store. She followed suit. Three employees were behind the counter chatting. I approached the counter. They all seemed to not know who was going to help me. A female staffer said hi. I started to rattle off what I wanted to get when she engaged in a chat with the other male staffer. Um, no. It's rude that I am mid-sentence placing my order and you turn to your male staffer to chat about a topic that has nothing to do with baked goods? I interrupted their conversation and continued to place my hot cross buns order. I'm at this stage these days where I don't tolerate rudeness. Don't interrupt me. I can and will reciprocate. Luckily, poor parking woman behind me got the male staffer. It all worked out. The woman let me know that there were only four orange cranberry hot cross buns. They all looked so good in the display so it took us a little while to decide what to get. Raspberry Napoleon ($3.50) tasted delish and huge! Chocolate waffles ($2.50) so rich! It's only been a few months since I came back from Paris and thus brought me back briefly. Parking can be found on Main Street, if you're lucky you'll get one! The choices were so hard as everything looked delicious. We ended up picking the chocolate chip coffee cake. It was $7! Service was friendly and quick. We took it home and shared it, the flavour was good, not too sweet which is what we usually aim for. However there seems to be some sugar on it that tasted a bit off, although we enjoyed it overall. Hoping to get a different item next time!
