It's spacious and offers an okay range of UK goodies. I found the grocery selection to be not the best out there when it comes to the two aisles, but they offer the classics and goodies--a good range of sweets. They have a frozen section that offers frozen meat pies, bread and chips. The real standout here is the bakery, of course. The bakery is considerably big and stocked with all the classic make-you-feel-good home items. They have multiple types of meat pies however one of my favs is Steak & Guinness. The bakery offers pasties, scotch eggs and a good selection of cakes. The staff are always happy to help at the counter and enjoy sharing information about their cakes. I've been back a few times since it's opening and it is great when you want to quickly pop in and grab some basics and scoop some meat pies and sausage rolls.

Since the closure of But'n Ben Scottish bakery in Pickering, there hasn't been another bakery to get good meat pies from. This bakery replaced a Wimpy's diner and I was curious to see how they would manage such a large space for a bakery. The store is well laid out with fridges and freezers that line the store, jam packed with delicious oven ready meals and hard to find eats. There are also isles stocked with jams, coffee, tea, pot noodles, biscuits and snacks from the old country. And in-store baked breads are spread out on tables near the display cases. I picked up 6 assorted meat pies and some Queen Victoria's during this visit and shared them with my family. I don't often make meat pies anymore as the kid still has yet to develop the taste for it, but for the adults in the family, this was a lovely treat to pick up several different flavours to sample (chicken pot pie, steak and gravy, steak and mushroom). We enjoyed our selection of pies and the dessert and look forward to returning to try out more delicious eats!

We got there a little after 11 and already the place was jamming. All we wanted were a couple of cannolis and sfogliatellas. When we got them home, the product did not disappoint. We felt like we had been immediately transported back to Napoli where we enjoyed these delicacies fresh out of the bakery. Their pizza line is also crazy. You need to be sure to show up as early as possible, or they run out. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Aside from the hustle and bustle, it has a great atmosphere, but I would not recommend eating there unless you feel comfortable with a mass of people all around you.

Nutella croissant, pistachio cream filled. Staff super friendly took my order gave recommendations. Croissant was crispy versus buttery had a decent amount of Nutella in there. Not sure if it's more crispy vs buttery or just end of day. The pistachio filled donut was heavy filled with whip cream delicious and not lactose friendly. Tiramisu good on the sweeter side not too heavy on coffee flavor whip cream and cake bottom. Not super traditional but it's okay. 3 separate counters to order different food items this place can get quite full. Little bit hard to find the price on the items it's not listed with the food itself. In the middle of the place there are tables and chairs to sit and eat at which is nice. Not just a take out spot. Great especially in the winter. Havent had a chance to try the prepared foods or pizza that is for the next visit!

I tried the birthday slice to see if I wanted to order a large for my son's bday. It tasted like boxed cake. Kinda disappointing. Same with the very average oatmeal cookie and cake pops. They open very late (like 2am) so kinda a hang out spot but the area is pretty quiet. Given the amount of options I'm willing to try again. Hopefully twice is a charm!

I called the store a…read morefew days before to see if the Devils Chocolate cake needs an advance order for pick up, they said that the cake is always available in the storefront and that booking in advance is not required. I reached the bakery store and wow, they have a huge selection of baked goods - lots of cake options, baked goods, specialty drinks and more. It's a nice atmosphere with plenty of tables for one to do work. I still stuck to my plan and got the Devil's Chocolate 6" inch chocolate. I got home, ate the cake and it tasted like coffee. There was no sign or description of cake saying that coffee was in it. So I called the store to asked if there's coffee in the cake and they said that they used coffee syrup in it. I was disappointed by the cake because I'm not a coffee lover and the flavour of the chocolate just wasn't there. Although, the bakery store has a nice atmosphere and huge selection of desserts, I'm not pleased with my cake and have no reason in coming back.
