I've been randomly coming to the Faneuil Hall Marketplace ever since I was a kid. I couldn't tell…read moreyou what I ate here on my first trip with my parents before my first ever Boston Red Sox game in the mid 90's, but I do know that I had a blast coming here and seeing all the different food stands and random vendors lined below the building. I was able to return here for lunch a few weeks back in 2026 and I had just as much fun walking around now then I did back then. The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon and a whole lot of people were trying to get some seafood, pizza, ice cream, baked goods, Italian, and various other things and it was cool to see this place still so lively so many years later. Now, I'll be honest here, the food I ate kind of sucked but that's just one of the vendors fault, not the entire hall so I'm still going to give this place five stars. The building itself is stunning and is one of the original buildings in the area (If i'm not mistaken) and has a long hall of different food vendors, seating upstairs, and some restaurants downstairs as well as mall kiosk like shops (get rid of the crappy temu vendors, please). Overall, There's like 50 different places you could eat at that will give you drastically different experiences, so why not come as much as you can given the opportunity. This trip was my first time in about 7 years and even though the food I got was not good, I don't regret coming back to Faneuil Hall and I will absolutely be coming back on my next trip to Boston.

Full of local and tourists. All sorts of fun shops, local talent and food. We started one end of the strip and worked out way through the area. It's a fun place to find your Boston merch, local food options and vibes. My daughter and I had a great time meeting people. Shopping for gifts to bring home. And just breathing in the Boston air. I'm happy we got to check this place out.

Checking out the beautiful city while making our way to this marketplace. The market is fun. There's vendors outside selling souvenirs, treats and sports merch. Inside were food vendors. We were still full from our breakfast so unfortunately we weren't able to check out the food that was available. Such a bummer cause I'm sure there was plenty of fun options available! I'm always down to try the local fare! From what we did see outside, it's a lot of the same stuff in the stores in the strip. I really love the concept of this place. Food, treasures and vibes. My daughter and I were fortunate enough to check out vibe and treasures. And it was fun! I'm happy we got to peep this place out. I don't know when we'll be back but I'll recommend this location to any of my friends coming here.

As it happens, I was just about to write him to ask what the plans were for reopening post-COVID. Steve was always in the public eye, enthusiastically promoting and administering the event, but was also an intensely private individual. His cheerful energy will be missed. The Swapfest was tentatively schedule to resume in mid-August 2021. Monitor the website for any updates.

If you've ever wanted to build your own radio, this is the place for you. There were also very cheap old PC components, perfect for restoration projects. There were fewer Apple components (as I would expect) but they were still very reasonably priced and in good condition for the most part. My only qualm was with the venders. For the most part they were kind and helpful, mostly nerdy in a charming way. There were, however, at least three instances where venders made very sexist, condescending remarks, such as "you should find a boyfriend who can teach you engineering," or "this isn't the place for a nice girl like you, with all these electronics!" Usually I could forgive this, and in all cases I informed them that I was in fact an engineer despite being a woman (a radical concept, I know), but in all cases, when I asked the prices of different components they gave me ones that were significantly higher than usual. I decided to do an experiment; I had my friend (a guy) go to one of the same venders and ask the price of the same component and the vender's price for him was lower (only by like two dollars, but still).
