I scheduled at my convenience, leaving a long period between my 4th and 5th sessions. Ida diagnosed my puppy son with dominance, very rare at that early of an age. I had diagnosed him with asshole, and it seemed I was right. She taught me how to show him I was the boss and get him in line. She also taught him all the important commands and gave me homework to strengthen those commands between lessons. She truly got into my dog's head and turned him into a wonderful companion. He is now 8 months old and my best friend. I still call Ida here and there for other problems I have like housekeeping or barking. She suggested a bell he could ring to tell me when he needs to go out and now he uses it every time. I have suggested several friends use Ida. She is a miracle worker.

With new jobs that required us to commute into the city instead of work from home, it was such a relief to find them. From the moment we started working with Catherine and her team I felt that my dog was well taken care of. We use Beantown five times a week, and they've always been accommodating to our schedules (if we need two walks a day, for example). Additionally, I know that if I ever needed overnight care that they offer that service. What's even better? They LOVE our dog and it shows. They are so caring and loving to her and I trust them completely! The team at Beantown goes above and beyond to make sure she is cared for. One time when honey got a little scratch on her face they offered immediately to take her to the vet for us. Their service is impeccable. They are responsive, fairly priced, and so kind. I love following their Instagram handle to see daily photos and videos of my dog playing with others, too. I 10/10 recommend Beantown for your dog if you are in the Boston area! We love them!

Daycare was not his favorite thing but I kept having him attend, once a week to build his socialization and have an outlet without me. After going to daycare once a week for months, he finally had a switch flip and absolutely LOVES daycare. He knows on Tuesday mornings he has to get ready early and spends the entire drive there with his tail wagging excitedly. This once very anxious and unsure pup now looks forward to playing and "going to school". He is always worn out and sleeps for like 2 days straight after attending. Tubbs also has a lot of allergies and needs special attention to those medical things. They make sure he never comes even near any of his allergies and i fully trust he is getting great care. Whenever we do an overnight stay, they make sure he takes all his meds, update me on his visit and has lots of fun playing. I love animals and have adopted several older animals from the Animal Rescue League in Boston. Milton Animal League is one of the shelters that is closer to my home, so I headed down there today. I walked in the door, and asked if they were looking for volunteers, and the woman working there just looked at me and rudely asked "How old are you?" Now mind you, I don't look like anything like a teenager. I replied that i was 28 years old and only then the woman pulled out an application and told me to call before I come back and acted as though she were doing me a huge favor. I was with my husband and we are currently looking to adopt a rescue dog, so after the whole application fiasco, I asked if we could take a look at the available dogs. The woman pointed at a bulletin board with pictures of the available dogs. I asked her if I could go into the dog room to meet them. She replied, "I'd rather you not, they're all excited now." I left the Milton Animal League feeling patronized and brushed off. I feel badly for the animals there because I'm sure that they would have a better chance of being adopted if the staff at the shelter were more helpful and kind to people looking to adopt. If staff working in animal shelters like these were more attentive to people who came in to adopt and educated their patrons instead of instantly treating them all as though they are ignorant, less people would be buying from places supplied by puppy mills like pet stores and online breeders. If you want to adopt, I recommend adopting from a place where the staff sincerely care about finding their animals good home and treat potential adopters like they matter, such as the Animal Rescue League or Quincy Animal Shelter.
