I can't say enough great things about Beantown Walkers and the people who work with the animals. I found them through Instagram because I just liked seeing the pictures and videos of the dogs and cats they care for. Then one weekend my family was suddenly in a last-minute pinch looking for someone to take care of our two dogs when we were going out of town. We called Katie at Beantown Walkers and within half an hour we had a fantastic weekend set-up for our dogs. Our dogs were able to attend the playgroup with other dogs in fenced in play yards during the day and stay with Jerry, an awesome dog caretaker, in the evenings. It was ideal and all weekend we could see pictures of our dogs on Instagram playing with other dogs, Jerry, and having a great time while we were gone. We are continuing to send our dogs to their playgroups. Both of our dogs get so much out of this, especially are just-turned-one puppy. Before we sent her to Beantown Walkers she simply wasn't getting enough playtime and exercise. We "joked" that she never got tired. She also would nip at our ankles when we walked her and could get pretty crazy in the apartment. Now her behavior has gotten better and she's more enjoyable to have out in the house and I know it's because of all the exercise and playtime she gets at the Beantown Walker playgroups. One thing that really stands out about Beantown Walkers is the high quality of their employees. We can see on the videos they post of their playgroups that the people taking care of the dogs actually interact with the dogs. I can't tell you how many dog walkers I've seen at dog parks walk in to the yard, unleash the dogs and then look at their cell phone the whole time they are in the yard. They don't pay any attention to the dogs at all, even when one of their dogs is bothering or being bothered by another dog. The employees of Beantown Walkers play with the dogs, run around with them, play fetch with the dogs--actually TAKE CARE of the dogs. I see that five stars on Yelp means Woohoo! I was using Wags before this and it was very impersonal and inconsistent. A colleague recommended BTW. The Beantown team is much more intimate. They are so accommodating with my dogs unique needs and the walkers go above and beyond by making sure to feed her for me at the scheduled time each day and send lots of pictures of her play dates at the park. They also keep me in the loop with the milestones and progress my baby makes each week. My puppy was terrified to walk anywhere outside of our front lawn for the longest time and was super skittish, but with their dedication and patience one block at a time, she confidently walks all around town. I cannot emphasize the peace of mind I have being able to go to work for the day and know that my baby is in great hands. I appreciate the passion that these folks have for their line of work. We are so lucky to have found Beantown Walker's! Catherine and her crew have taken excellent care of our puppy, Scout, since we moved to Dorchester. They helped us establish a walking routine for our new pup, and kept us updated with each walk after she was recovering from being spayed. Always accessible by phone, text, or email, Catherine responds quickly, and her team always accommodates our last minute dog care needs. Scout has learned great leash + social skills, and we are so grateful she gets to spend time with such wonderful walkers when we're at work. We highly recommend Catherine and her crew. Despite the name, their services are not limited to dog-walking. I have two large and opinionated cats who are determined to be indoor-outdoor cats. The compromise I've reached with them is that they have to come in in the evening and stay in all night. This poses challenges when it comes to finding catsitters. I am so happy I found Katie and Nichole. They will stay in the house when I'm away, call the cats in at night, and play with them to keep them happy. The best measure of cat satisfaction I know of is that when you return, the cat says "oh, are you back?" instead of "how could you have abandoned me!!" Beantown Walkers passes this test, and gives me a great sense of security when I'm away. read more

Beantown Walkers is by far the best care team for your pets! This team is beyond knowledgable of dogs and the care they need and they are constantly going the extra mile for these pets. I have two dogs who have not done well with other dogs in the past. Within 2 months of working with Alex my girls were no longer reactive on a leash and after just 4 months I was receiving pictures of my girls at the park PLAYING with other dogs!! Katie and Nichole have been walking my dog since they started with Boston's Best Dog Walkers! They are dependable and reliable and my dog ABSOLUTELY LOVES THEM! Seriously, I've never seen my dog Scooby so excited than when they come to walk him! I would trust Katie and Nichole with my life! We've been using Beantown walkers for a few months and absolutely love them!! We were nervous throwing our shy, 2 month old puppy into the mix but Beantowm Walkers made sure he was comfortable and happy right from the start. Katie and Nichole are the best! They walk our energetic 3 year old dog several days a week and provide excellent care and service--they obviously love what they do!
