The owners and staff are true animal lovers who care deeply for the pets they board, groom, etc. They are all very helpful and kind. We recently had an emergency situation where we had to board our guinea pigs for a weekend while they were sick and the staff went above and beyond to care for them while approaching the situation with sensitivity and kindness. They administered meds and critical care, texted us updates, and really treated them like their own pets. This was our first experience going to Weronika and was a grooming emergency. Our dog had gotten a…read moredeer tick bite and his fur was much too thick to see if he had more ticks on him or if the original bite had the telltale Lyme disease rash. I called and left a message for Weronika and she squeezed us in after hours. I didn't know what to expect when we got into her grooming salon/camper, but Weronika soon put us and our little dog at ease. (His breed is not normally clippered, but we needed to see him without his coat on). She shaved him down and I thought we were done, but no - she then gave him a flea and tick bath, dried him and used thinning shears to make sure that there were no razor marks. She even brushed his teeth, getting him to behave when I haven't had any luck at all! All the while she was talking to Odo and giving him kisses on his beady little head. She also let me know that she has a soft spot for rescues and we talked about all the rescue dogs she sees. She could not have been kinder or gentler to Odo (or us). Even though she had pressing family business, she treated Odo as if she had all the time in the world. I discovered that the only way to get an appointment is if you leave a message on her phone and she'll call you back when she is done with the dog that she was grooming when you called. Don't leave a message and you'll never get an appointment with this busy, friendly lady. Her grooming salon comes to you - we happened to go to her just this once. I can't recommend Weronika highly enough, and am now delighted that we now have a trusted person to take care of our dog. It's very rare to meet such a nice person who is also so very good at her job. 100% terrific. UPDATE: We're still having Weronika groom our dog, and we still love her. She now has clients email her to get an appointment on her wildly busy schedule, but she answers promptly and as long as it isn't the holiday season you can get an appointment fairly quickly. Even if you have to wait, she still is as loving and wonderful as ever. Our dog, who LOATHES bathing, toenail cutting, and all grooming related activities, loves Weronika, and is overjoyed when he sees her. To me, that's the best way to judge a groomer. 10/12/15

The owner was very nice and cleaned up one bath for us and gave us two squirt bottles of an oatmeal shampoo. She had a number to choose from. We had to request conditioner...because it's an extra few bucks..no big deal. She even gave us aprons so we could keep dry (our dog shakes). We also had one of the groomers cut our pup's nails...she was very nice, very knowledgeable, and gave us some tips for how to keep her nails short at home. Easy & fast visit for a bath & nail clipping. It was much better than our PetSmart experiences...we were able to be there with our pup who is skittish and hates baths, and even nail clippings. I would just suggest to customers - if you're tipping based on % of cost, to do it based on price of other places vs a % of price here. We tipped based on the price I paid at Petsmart's for the basic grooming ($130) and added bit more because it was totally deserved! Here they do to exactly what's asked for vs the other place that just basically shaves the dog unless you want to pay a fortune to add on any sort of other cut! The store itself is really cute, they have an awesome selection of toys, treats, and other supplies, and always have the best seasonal items. They offer a full slate of grooming services, and some self-serve options that I haven't tried just yet. They even have a bunch of customizations like doggie facials, paw treatments, seasonal shampoo scents, etc. (Honestly never felt like spending the money on that stuff, but if that's your thing, you do you.) My absolute favorite part about this place is that it's cage-free. So instead of having one groomer working on multiple dogs at once and putting them in crates for various portions of the appointment, your groomer is only focused on your pup from start to finish. My Maisie is in and out in half the time, for only slightly more $$, than we were paying in the city. IMO, it's well worth it for my anxious girl.
