I've had these photos sitting in my camera roll for quite some time, and I kept telling myself,…read more"I'll leave a review soon." When I finally logged into Yelp to do just that, I was genuinely saddened to see that this place has since closed. It honestly broke my heart, because this was one of those dining experiences that truly stayed with me. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning--beautiful rooftop vibes, warm energy, and a space that immediately made you feel like you were about to experience something special. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention behind each bite. The Peruvian inspiration throughout the menu was both authentic and elevated, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the chef herself coming out to introduce herself. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate. You could tell she truly poured her heart into her food. She took the time to explain the inspiration behind the dishes, and it made the entire meal feel even more meaningful. That level of personal touch is rare and so appreciated. Looking back at these photos now just reminds me how special this place was. Delicious food, a talented and thoughtful chef, and an overall experience that left a lasting impression. It's such a shame this spot is no longer around, because it truly deserved all the love and recognition. If the chef ever opens another concept, I will absolutely be first in line. Thank you for such a memorable meal--this is one I won't forget.

I just saw my receipt and there are all these up charges: 1% service charge, 4% benefits surcharge, and another charge to use the cashless Sunday platform fee of $1.49, plus automatic gratuity, in case you didn't know and you tip on top of that. For the quinoa beet salad and a drink it was almost $60, not worth the meal but it was a cute rooftop place to try out.

It's better to come right around when they open to escape the lines. Doesn't matter when you come, people will come in drones to eat this delicious food. They do a tasty Lomo Saltado ($22.75) and the portion size is MASSIVE, it could easily be shared among two people. I ate the whole thing and immediately entered a food coma and my belly was smiling..I swear. They bring a complimentary hot dinner roll with butter before they bring you your dish. The green aji verde is spot on, it's spicy, but not overly spicy and it has great flavor. Prepare to cover your food with this delicious sauce. I will definitely be back for Lomo Saltado and to try other dishes. FYI, There's a 3.5% charge for using a credit card, so pay cash and a save a bit.

After a brief argument, they let me eat. No one brought me water and they had an issue with bringing me condiments. The staff was extremely rude and the space was pretty empty for The dinner rush hour. I got the Lomo Saltado, the prize were clearly freezer burnt and undercooked. The food was dry, and their green sauce smothered on it. I like spice, but it was way too much to where nothing else flavor. The location has limited parking on the corner of a busy highway. The inside is relitively big for the location. Will never come back. Don't recommend. Not worth the trouble

I will say I'm def coming back here. The service was wonderful. Very quick, friendly, and accommodating. Fast service. We ordered the "Lomo Saltado" absolutely DELICIOUS & MUST TRY!! Cooked to perfection, the entire dish was mouth watering. I devoured the whole thing -- including the veggies lol. It's perfect! The sauce was delicious too!! I will say their complimentary house bread is crunchy.. not much of a fan. But the house homemade sauces were absolutely delicious. I would def recommend if your in Pasadena or highland park to come eat here. This place is perfect!! Looking forward to coming back and trying other new entree items.

The ceviche classico is some of the best I've had in years. Lots of fish, tangy, incredible with the Peruvian corn and sweet potato fixins. Sandwich de lomito was chonky and saucy and hit the spot. Aguadito de pollo really tasted like a savory delicacy, tender chicken and a good deal at under $7 for a decent-sized cup. Overall, it's pricy but the dishes are delicious and thoughtfully made. Excited to eat some leftovers today.

This was my first visit to this restaurant after seeing it featured in a YouTube video…read more Unfortunately, what I hoped would be a great dining experience turned out to be quite disappointing. From the moment I placed my order, the experience felt unwelcoming. The gentleman (stocky-Asian like, wearing a mask) who took my order was neither particularly friendly nor helpful, which wasn't a great first impression. Things became even more frustrating when my family and I sat at an empty table while waiting for our food. We had been seated for approximately five minutes when an employee approached us and stated, "This table is for the people who came before you." Not wanting to create an uncomfortable situation, and seeing the other family standing with their plates in hand, we politely got up and gave them the table, but I was thinking this pace needs a better process. I did mention to the employee that if the restaurant has a specific seating policy, there should be a host or someone clearly managing the seating arrangements to avoid confusion. To put things into perspective, the restaurant has a very casual, fast-food-style atmosphere, similar to El Pollo Loco. It's the type of establishment where customers would naturally assume they can sit at any available table. There was nothing to indicate otherwise. Overall lack of hospitality, communication, and customer service. A little friendliness and professionalism can go a long way, especially when welcoming first-time customers. Unfortunately, I left with a bad impression rather than a memorable dining experience. Based on the service and atmosphere alone, I would not recommend this restaurant to others. A restaurant doesn't have to be upscale to make its guests feel welcome. Good hospitality should be part of the experience, regardless of the setting.
