The service is great, the staff are super friendly. The storefront is really cute and the smells are out of this world.
Now for the food, we will not return. We got there right when they opened, so we were hoping for good things...
The sourdough pretzel: pretty tough and nothing beyond a "good" rating. The vanilla bean cinnamon roll: really dry, not overly vanilla bean or cinnamon in flavor, and the frosting was awful-too sweet and nothing beyond the taste of sugar, we took one bite and immediately stopped eating it. The Nutella cruffin: my daughter loved it, I thought it was terrible. There was a huge blob of Nutella inside that was just too big and that ruined it for me. If someone wants that much Nutella, they can eat it straight from the jar. The chocolate chip cookie: dry and pretty flavorless. Being a former baker, this is what I tend to judge bakeries on and this one seriously fell flat. The s'mores croissant: a huge no from both of us. It had a weird sour flavor as an aftertaste and we stopped eating it after one bite. The plain croissant: amazing! The chocolate croissant: my daughter said it was amazing. The street corn croissant: absolutely my favorite.
While we found three items to our liking, we still will not return. I appreciate and understand the pricing, but for that price, I feel that we should not have been that disappointed and wanted more than a bite of everything we bought, not just the three items we ended up liking. We really should have enjoyed almost everything, this was definitely not the case. Two stars for a clean place, nice staff members, and three items that were edible.
For $70 worth of product, this was a HUGE letdown. I do not recommend giving this place a try, it is WAY overhyped. read more
