    I am still paying each month for something that doesn't even work and they refuse to come and fix it!

    In January 2023, I was scammed by Brinks home security (Skyline). I was previously a satisfied ADT customer. Someone called me saying they were from ADT and needed to upgrade my system to a newer 5G system because mine was old. My phone's caller ID said "ADT" which is the only reason I answered the call. A man came to my house with an ADT badge with his picture on it. Once in my home, he said ADT was going out of business and was being taken over by Brinks security. He conned me into signing a new contract with Brinks with lies and false representation. It was a very long contract that he had me sign on an ipad that I could not read through. He said it was for the new upgraded panel. After, I was being charged through Brinks and ADT still. ADT informed me they didn't know who he was and that none of what he said was true. For the last 2 and a half years Brinks has refused to allow me to cancel my contract, stating I would be charged for a full 5 year contract regardless. The person who misrepresented themselves as ADT cut my ADT wires, took my previous 2 cameras from them, gave me one that he had on him and said they would be sending me another one. They have NEVER sent a second camera. This is a breach of their contract. My security system has not been functioning since May 13, 2025. They still have not sent a technician to fix it and said they cannot till September. However, they continue to charge me for a non functioning system. They will not cancel my service despite numerous requests. I have paid my balance in full and they still will not allow me to cancel even though I know I am no longer under contract. My contact information was obtained by Brinks (Skyline) illegally. Please read their reviews. Why would you trust your safety such fraudulent people?? They have the worst rating possible and only care about taking your $ any way possible. Even by lying and scamming. Legit companies would not need to do this. I am still paying each month for something that doesn't even work and they refuse to come and fix it or give me a credit until it is fixed!! I have spent countless hours trying every way to fix it on my own unsuccessfully and they don't care. As long as they are taking your $ that's all they care about!!!

    Heartless company about sums it up. My father died and at that time his bank accounts were closed. When I went to make payment to continue the service until the house could be sold they told me there was a $25 charge due to them attempting to take payment and being rejected. I called and explained situation and they refused to remove fee. While this is not a lot of money it's the principle. Really heartless of you brinks. No customer service or understanding at all. Customer number 705634467. And now there's a five dollar charge for a late fee for the $25 charge for the payment being rejected. I did attempt to speak to a manager in customer service and they went and talk to the manager supervisor and they refused to adjust the payment.

    Holy Crap! This company seriously sucks ass. DO NOT GET SERVICE WITH BRINKS. YOU WILL REGRET IT! We had service with Protect America and loved it. Never had an issue. Then Brinks buys their company and it has been all down hill from there. Faulty system connection for over a month now and trying to get a hold of a live human being to fix it is impossible. This is bad because if there is a break in they won't even know it. And they have THE WORST customer service. SEE PIC: Radio not responding means the main panel controlling our security system isn't even connected to their main headquarters so if there was a break in they wouldn't even know. Been like this for a month now. Can't fix it because can't get a hold of anyone. Called to reset our system and I was on hold WAIT FOR IT...DRUM ROLL...three and a half hours! Seriously? After the first 50 minute hold an Indian lady answers the phone and then hangs up on me. I was like wtf? I honestly think she was on drugs when she answered. I couldn't understand what she said. I called a second time and another 1 hour wait and another Indian guy answers the phone, terrible English and asks me if I wanted help. Like are you for real? Why the hell do you think I'm calling? He asks me if I need a technician? That's why I pushed 4 you moron. Then he puts me on hold again for another hour and half to get to a technician. I used their texting service and got a response that they are too busy to respond to me. Damn! Hopefully I never get robbed in my home and then need help. I would be better off calling a pizza delivery guy. At least someone would be at my house within 30 minutes! They have a very strict cancellation policy where you are locked in for 2 or 3 years. They will also try and lie to you and say you have a longer contract then what you actually had with your previous company. Don't let them lie to you like that. Hope you saved your contract from your previous company. This is a really shady company. Luckily we are near the end of our contract. DEFINITELY NOT RENEWING WITH THESE CLOWNS! AVOID THEM LIKE YOU WOULD CANCER. GO WITH ADT You will never be able to get in touch with someone. I think they outsource their customer service based on the accents of the reps. Nothing personal and I have multiethnic friends but when it comes to my families safety I want to communicate with a person that I can understand quickly and efficiently. But this always happens when a bigger company buys a smaller one. Customer service goes WAY DOWN. They outsource to put more dollars in their own pockets. The hell with you or your families safety. I think I have a better chance of getting in touch with Extraterrestrials from outer space before I get in touch with someone from here. NEVER USE BRINKS. Even their customer reviews are just average. 3.5 out of 5. That's ok for a hole in the wall restaurant but not your home security. Especially with what's going on in the nation now. All the mayhem. Your home needs firm security. Brinks cannot give that. They say they have JD #1 customer service ranking? ROFL X 100000000000000000000000000 Lolololololol. I now have 8 pack abs Who needs stand up comedy when you have Brinks! Taking all bets on how long they take to send me a CUT and PASTE email response they send to everyone! I was moving out of state and needed to cancel the service because I'd no longer need it at my new place. The first time I called to cancel, I spoke to someone who seemed to be a manager, because she offered me all of these perks to stay, including a deferment of my payments until I figured out if I wanted to stay or not. I thought I was getting a deal, until a few months went by and I realized I really did not need the service and needed to cancel. I called customer service, knowing I still had 9 months left in my contract, but my equipment was paid off so it should just be an easy cancellation with an early termination fee. I was wrong. 3 hours later, 10 support agents and 4 departments later, each one repeating the same offers and not communicating between agents, even after I firmly declined them all and said I just wanted to pay the money and be done with it -- I finally was able to pay the termination fee or "buyout" fee and get off the phone. They had me on an initial wait of about 45 mins, and then each agent kept asking for the same information or just wasn't aware of what I was trying to do, and it got to the point where I realized they are trained to drag out the process. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL WITH THEM, THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT QUICKLY IS TO ESCALATE. Do not let them have you on the phone for hours like they had me! They will have you on the phone for hours, just to submit an email cancellation request. We checked out three companies and Al and Justin were the only company willing to stop by after a job they were working on. They listened to what we wanted and Al (owner) provided a bid the following day. After evaluating the other two bids, it was clear we needed to go with DFWCVS. Not just because of price, but service, care, good communication and quality equipment. Al and Justin arrived on time to do the install and set to work. Since we were replacing the entire system and moving some of the cameras to better locations (thank you Al), they were around all day. They worked hard and I could tell, they worked well together. Al kept us informed at all times on where they were with the install. There was one small hiccup when Justin slipped in the attic and accidentally caused some damage to our kitchen ceiling. Justin and Al felt so bad about the accident, but we kept telling them, it was an accident and we were thankful nobody got hurt. Al took action and worked on getting a repairman to come over to access the damages. Luckily, we have a neighbor that owns his own painting company and he came over and gave Al a bid. The repair work was finished a few days later. You couldn't tell it was ever damaged . Al and Justin were finishing up some work for us and were relieved to see how well it had turned out. Al took care of everything and was hired by our neighbor for some security work. A new relationship was made. Win win. We can't speak highly enough about the integrity of this company. You don't see many companies that stand behind their work like Al and Justin. They are great to work with and we couldn't be happier with our security camera system.
