    Confirmation of my cancellation yet they continue to harass me.

    Equipment failed within the first month of installation and we were never able to receive adequate customer service. After about a year and several hours on the phone and chat with their not-so-helpful representatives, we gave up trying to make it work. Unfortunately for us, we were locked into an almost 4 year contract with a security system, camera and thermostat that was completely defunct and worthless. I finally tried to cancel our account in April, and spent an hour on the phone with a guy who said I had to be paid up through the end of my contract ending in June before I could cancel. So during the height of the pandemic when both my husband and I were without any income, we paid over $200 to fulfill our contract. That should have been the end of it, right? Wrong! On May 29, I started getting calls saying there is an issue with my account. On July 6, I finally answered and talked to a guy named Kyle who told me I had to send a written cancellation request (the guy I spoke to in April mentioned nothing of the sort and said he would be cancelling on my behalf). So I followed Kyle's instructions to email a written cancellation request backdated to the date in April when I paid my contract in full. I even received a confirmation of this cancellation. Since Friday, July 24, I've been getting calls nearly every business day saying my account is past due. On July 30, my husband finally spoke to a representative and demanded that our account be cancelled, "amount due" waived and that our number be placed on a do not call list, or we would enlist legal action. Guess what? They called again July 31! What in fresh hell is wrong with this company? This is the absolute worst customer experience I've had anywhere, ever. Incessant harassment. Going on a 4 year nightmare saga that we can't escape.

    I have had them for about 15 years and never had any problems. Whenever there any maintenance to be done Al I had to do is cal them.

    awful service. camera goes offline regularly. customer service awful and tell you lies. i made a big mistake. don't be as foolish as me.

Because of the nature of our operation, I was looking for high-quality equipment and overall service and was willing to pay to receive it. After reviewing.my needs with a handful of providers with good reviews, I chose Settler because my conversation with Nelson inspired confidence. As expected, I was pleased with all aspects of the process. What I did not expect, however, was that I would receive products and service that exceeded my lofty expectations at an extremely competitive price. Nelson was transparent throughout the process and helped me select high-quality equipment that met my specific needs while staying within my budget. I was also surprised by the level of operational support provided. Nelson showed me how to use all of the features, but he also set up a number of parameters in advance based on our original discussion without requiring further input. And that support did not stop once the products were installed and the final invoice issued. I am still receiving support on a regular basis. Anytime I have questions, answers are a quick phone call away. Finally, due to my own oversight, my were entirely unreasonable. Nevertheless, met them, and then some, installing my entire less than 48 hours after our initial conversation. I would not recommend asking that kind of turnaround of any provider on a complicated installation, but when I found myself in a bind, the Settler team bailed me out. We checked out three companies and Al and Justin were the only company willing to stop by after a job they were working on. They listened to what we wanted and Al (owner) provided a bid the following day. After evaluating the other two bids, it was clear we needed to go with DFWCVS. Not just because of price, but service, care, good communication and quality equipment. Al and Justin arrived on time to do the install and set to work. Since we were replacing the entire system and moving some of the cameras to better locations (thank you Al), they were around all day. They worked hard and I could tell, they worked well together. Al kept us informed at all times on where they were with the install. There was one small hiccup when Justin slipped in the attic and accidentally caused some damage to our kitchen ceiling. Justin and Al felt so bad about the accident, but we kept telling them, it was an accident and we were thankful nobody got hurt. Al took action and worked on getting a repairman to come over to access the damages. Luckily, we have a neighbor that owns his own painting company and he came over and gave Al a bid. The repair work was finished a few days later. You couldn't tell it was ever damaged . Al and Justin were finishing up some work for us and were relieved to see how well it had turned out. Al took care of everything and was hired by our neighbor for some security work. A new relationship was made. Win win. We can't speak highly enough about the integrity of this company. You don't see many companies that stand behind their work like Al and Justin. They are great to work with and we couldn't be happier with our security camera system.
