TERRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY Most terrible company ever. I bought a house that the previous owners had hawk security system. We decided that we didn't need it so we never signed up for their member ship. however all their gear and systems are still hooked up to the house, they didnt bother to come get it. The monitor in the wall would ring every other day or so and would ask for a code to stop it. I never even got any code from them and when I didnt sign up I imagined they would just turn everything off. That brings be to today, all of a sudden in the middle of the day the monitor powers the whole house with a fire alarm and wouldn't stop unless I put in the code. My six month old baby is screaming because it woke him up from a nap. I immediately call hawk security so they can help me turn it off, as it is their system that is doing it. the lady transfers me to support and no one ever answered after waiting for over 5 min. Meanwhile there is an alarm blasting through the whole house. I hang up and call again and the lady just starts telling me to unplug the monitor from the wall, I keep telling her there is no plug and she just keeps saying that there is. I explain to her that the wire is run through the wall. then she tells me in that case there should be a box plugged into the house somewhere, I explain to her there is not a box and that we barley have anything plugged in since we havent lived here very long and we havent been able to buy much furniture. She keeps speaking to me like im an idiot that there is a box plugged in somewhere and I just have to find it to get the system to stop. After looking through the whole house and not finding said box I ask her if they can send a tech out here to unplug the whole system, she said they only do that to people who pay. I ask her if I pay someone to come out to unplug it and she says they dont do that. She tells me she has other people on the line and has to go then just hangs up on me. I work in real estate and that is just not how you treat people especially if you're a company that provides a service. I ended up just cutting the system from the wall and creating a big hole in the drywall that now has to be repaired. I am still shocked at the way I was spoken to. If I could give zero stars I would. I have had hawk 360 for over 8 years. First issue I have is system battery. I call them they tell me fir them to come replace aka maintenance the battery it will be $69 fee plus $50 for the battery, and $75 per hour . So I replace this battery myself and was told if I break anything I was responsible for fixing it. Wow. 2nd issue now its telling the panel battery which you have to go inside the panel to get to it and the issue was called customer service. I call they tell me again they will come do the replacement for a fee but all I have to do is take the panel apart and order a 7.2 volt battery to replace. But they will charge me to come out and if anything goes wrong im responsible for paying to get fix. I going to find a company that im not just giving money too with no service. This is the 3rd strike. I pay to much for foolishness. Hawk 360 I would not refer NO one too. Take money and no service in return. read more

We have been with this company for over a year and have had terrible customer service every time we've had to call. We are constantly having to sit on hold, be told we'll get a call back and never getting that call. Or being told the person we tech can not help us with the issues we've had! We finally switched to a new company and after leaving 3 messages requesting call backs in the corporate number in the last week I finally get someone to answer only to be told I have to call a different number! Now I was on hold for over 20 minutes and then they took forever to find our account, put me on hold for 10 minutes more then came back saying they couldn't go over the buy out or cancel for me it has to be you! Then she basically called me a liar saying they have no record of us calling and not getting responses or you giving me permission to handle the account! This is why we are leaving! When we signed up with Hawk our sales person told us that if we moved before the end of our three year contract we could cancel without penalty if we moved somewhere we could not transfer service. We moved to a rental after we sold our house and this has proved to be false. We have been hung up on 3 times by the Hawk resolution department and have experienced the WORST customer service of our lives. This business is worse than fraud. I've been with Hawk for 15 years. Since they switched to Alarm.com for monitoring, the level of service has decreased and the likelihood that you will be charged for services that used to be free have increased. The other day the technician (Steve, who is one of the only remaining positives of Hawk and the reason I stay) was upgrading my system, and had the systen in "test mode" to make sure things were functioning correctly, and the dumb dispatcher at Alarm.com dispatched the police to my house, resulting in a false alarm, so now I am praying that I don't get fined. I can't say the are the worst alarm company, but their level of customer service needs to get better! read more

I have been with Hawk over 7 years and if could give them FAT -0- rating, I would!!.. First off, I am on Auto-Pay and have been for all of these years. Sometime ago, I was called by Hawk stating that our equipment would not work with the the new technology that was soon to come out. I told them that we needed our services to work at all times and he assured me that it was at No Cost for the upgrade. After about 2 months I called Hawk and during the conversation with the Rep, I asked when was my contract up and at that point I learned that since I upgraded, it extended my contract for another 3 years!! I was LIVID but there was nothing that I could do at that point!!!!! Ok fast forward, I was having issues with my system beeping so I called for a Tech to come out and check my equipment. A few days later the Tech comes out and fix the issue. Before the Tech left, he stated that my system will stop working because of the new technology that was coming out (of course I've heard that statement before). I said oh ok, that sound great, what is the cost? The Tech said you won't have to pay anything, and that they will come out and do a Total Upgrade! So then I said to him Yeah, but I'm sure that it will force me into another 3-4 year contract right?, The Tech said YES, BUT THEY TELL US NOT TO SAY THAT PART!!!!! What in the Tom Foolery is going on!! (I thought in my head)..... I told him that is being Deceitful and that is not right and then told him that we will keep what we have until it stops working and then that when the problem will began...... OK... so I received a invoice in the mail to pay for the services rendered and the Tech trip charge and the invoice showed the date that it was due by. I mailed the check for the amount and when I looked into my account a few days later, I noticed that they had already Deducted that amount out of my account and the check had already been sent. THEY DOUBLED DIPPED!! So I waited a week or so to see if they would send me something or even call me to say that they received my check and that they also deducted that same amount of my account (for the invoice). They Never Did, so I called and asked why did they send me a bill with a due date and why did they deduct that same invoice amount out of my account with no authorization and cashed the check?. Shawonna (the Rep) stated that if you're on automatic draft, Hawk if going to automatically draft the money out of your account for any invoices. I then asked well why send me a bill with the amount with a due date that it most be paid by? That question could not be answered. So I Fussed (not cussed) her out about that situation and then asked her when was my contract up. She gave me my end date and I told her that I would not be renewing my contract. She (Shawonna) then tells me that I needed to speak with someone in the resolution department to find out what my cancellation fee will be.... Why in the ________ would I be charged a cancellation fee if my contract has ended? I was then transferred to the resolution department and spoke with Steven. I began to tell him everything that had happened and he stated that if you are on auto draft that Hawk will deduct the amount out of my account (which I had already heard that line). I then asked him when was my contract over, and he told me. I then tell him that I needed to know why would I be paying a cancellation fee if my contract was over (because that's what Shawonna told me). He said that I would not have to pay a cancellation fee if I cancelled 30 days before the contract ends. He stated that Shawonna should not have said that to me. I told him to go and listen to the recording (since we were on a recorded line) and that I was recording as well. I also told him that they need to Properly Train their Reps on what to say because a simple 30 day notice (from Shawonna) would have been sufficient had she stated that. I also stated that they need to train their Techs to not deceive their customers by selling them a dream that will lock them into another LONG TERM CONTRACT!! I have another 10 months with HAWK and it can't come soon enough. I have had enough already! read more

SCAM! BEWARE before you sign a contract with them. I had burglary at the store. Not once, Twice in a night and their monitoring system FAILED to give me any alerts. I found out from COPS that someone broke into my store. When I talked to them, they had no explanation and never took any responsibilities. RATHER they try to sell me more equipment. We recently moved to Dallas from DC and needed a security system for our new home. We had a bad experience with Urban Alarm in DC, and was very skeptical about home security companies. One of our neighbors recommended Hawk Security. I called a few others, but felt more comfortable with Hawk. So I scheduled an in home estimate. The day of our scheduled appointment Peter showed up. He was on time, and very knowledgeable about securing our 7500 square foot home. He made great recommendations, without a bunch of upselling. The day of our installation went great! Mark the installer was very friendly, and hard working. He never complain about all the work, which took him 10 hours to perform. Once he was done, he patiently showed me how to work the system, which wasn't easy because I'm no Techie. Later that day Peter called to make sure I was completely satisfied. Very rare, as it seems most places are done with you once they get paid. I even had to call Peter again a few weeks after installation with a question, and he got right back to me with an answer. He is now in therapy, a full year later still sleeping in my bed. I have had trouble for a few years with Hawk taking my check and not processing it for up to 3 weeks and then sending me a new bill with the last bill on top of the new one. I have gotten used to that but now I have been trying to cancel this service since December 2nd and have gotten nowhere. I have called 3 times and two of those times was dropped when I was transferred to the right department. The one time I got through I was told to send an email to cancel. I signed up with Hawk security in 2019 and I must say it was yet another poor decision on my part. from the moment I've had this P.O.S. System it hasn't worked properly. Word to the wise, their doorbell camera only works if it's cool outside and even then it's very delayed. I called a year ago to disable the stupid key fobs and I trusted that they disable them, found out this morning my spouse has been using them all along. Tried to cancel this service in many occasions but they won't without penalty even though their product doesn't even work! we had a strange guy standing at our front door and the camera finally recorded him as he was walking away! Horrific. Stay far away. If you want to change my mind, by all means, please, let's chat, Hawk Security. Tell me how you'd like me to proceed. Today my alarm went off at my home when I was not there. It was my contractor who had stopped by to do some expected work. I was called by Hawk, I gave my password, apologized for having set the alarm before I left that morning, and that was that. Or so I thought. I get a text from the contractor, while I'm still on the line with Hawk, that my alarm is still going off. I ask them to disarm it. The monitoring station could not do that. They ask me if I'd like to be transferred. Um...yes?! Meanwhile I am desperately trying to disarm my alarm from the phone app. It says "Disarming...." but not "Disarmed" no matter how many times I attempt to do it. I get placed on hold for several minutes, speak to a service person, get asked all my info all over again, am told they have to check on how to do that or if they CAN do that, and am placed on hold again. I ask them to please hurry, as there is also a child there now who is scared by all the noise. I wait on hold. By this time, I have already driven home and disarmed the system myself. I'm still on hold, though, to find out why I couldn't disarm remotely and why they couldn't do it for me for THEIR OWN SYSTEM. 15 minutes now into the call, I get off hold. I'm told the alarm is off. I know this, I tell them. I disarmed it in person in the time it took for me to drive home while on hold. I ask about the app and am told it's my cell connection to blame. Fine. But why can't they disarm my system remotely? Especially if me controlling the system via the app can't be trusted???! How do I ensure this won't happen again? I never had this problem with Xfinity Home (and that's Comcast! Good Lord! I'm saying Comcast has better customer service -- you know this is an issue now, yes?) at my old house. They were quick, phone service was polite and effective, and most importantly, they were able to control their systems to do what needs to be done. read more

From the time I got talked I to a 3 year contract, I've had issue after issue. It's been a year now and I would love to go back to simply using my two Arlo cameras. My main issue is with the quality of cameras and doorbell camera they use. For one, they I stalled the doorbell but now it doesn't ring properly inside the house. This doorbell camera is nothing compared to Ring. The two cameras outside seem to trigger over every tiny thing, no matter how much you adjust the sensitivity. Seems like a good thing until you become inundated with messages and recordings. If you ever change WiFi networks or even just the name of your current network, god forbid. The process to reconnect everything has to be the most complex, time consuming thing. One would think all you would have to do is connect them back the same way you do with your phone, or tv, or computer...but not even close. Spare yourself the hassle and just purchase a Ring or Arlo or even Nest if you want cameras as well. read more

Have had this home alarm service for less then 40 days and nothing has worked like they said it would (false claims). Several attempts to fix it and no luck, we called today to cancel and they are telling me they have a "3 day cancellation period" that has expired so wanting me to pay over $500 dollars to get out of contract. Will never use again! Everyone was nice up until I sold the house. When it came time to close on the house so had to cancel service they told me I had to pay $550 to cancel UNLESS I got the new buyers to sign with them. I had been using them for 12 years!!! I was then told my only other option would be to pay for 2 more months of service on a house that wasn't even mine anymore. It took a lot of arguing and no one could do anything for me up until I threatened to call the Better Business Bureau. The second I said that attitudes changed and I didn't have to pay a penny. Still, to make matters worse when I signed with them they told me they would take care of the City Permit and charged my account for it. Under no circumstances sign anything with Hawk Security. We went to cancel our services with them today and they told us it would be $1,700 to cancel because we signed a 3 year contract. Kicker is we never signed a contract so we asked the to send us a copy and the sales person FORGED my husbands signature and initials on 4 pages of documents. The one form he did sign was a automatic payment form and the guy changed the monthly price from $54 to $64 a month. Also around the same time the credit card we used for that got stolen. read more
