I've never written a review for any company no matter how bad the service. I'm at business owner myself and understand the struggle so the fact that I felt the need to do this says a lot. I've tried everything to get this company to do simply what they said they would do and honor the guarantee to replace speakers that aren't working. I didn't even know they had a warranty until they told me. Since then I haven't been able to get them to answer their phone or respond to text. We had a scheduling discrepancy and then I never heard from them. Ironically when I called from my mother's phone they picked up but did they would call me back to schedule. We hired the company, they completed the job. Communication was spotty but it was done. When we needed help for following year typically I'd hear back from them. Then they added a business partner. I had asked about issues we were having and the owner repeatedly said he would come fix it. Eventually it was turned over to the new business partner and when he spoke to me, he said no fixing would happen, we needed a whole new system. I had been working on this issue for almost 2 years with tweaks, now he tells me the whole system was crap from the beginning. I suggested to meet them in middle with offer, and before long...they stopped answering calls, texts, and emails. This seems to be what others are saying as well. Do yourself a favor, move on because the new partner is dishonest, unethical, and his influence has changed the company as a whole. FIND ANOTHER VENDOR!! You will be sorry if you don't. read more

STELLAR Technical work done on our house. Highly recommend Home Innovations 101. I am a technical person so I know when someone knows their stuff... these guys do! We had a custom home with a very unique Cat6a cable used. Shreef knew exactly what we were up against when talking over the phone and provided a very detailed written estimate by email within half-hour of our conversation. We approved the work and he showed up with all the needed parts and was able to wire and test the house to 100% connectivity. He even installed connections in a bedroom our 1 year old was taking a nap in and was totally quite doing the work! Never woke the baby =) I already sent his contact information to a few friends and our construction electrician as a personal recommendation. Doorbell wasn't communicating with the system, call they came out and said they were going to warranty the doorbell. Said they would come back after our vacation that's been 3 months ago left 6 or 7 voice mails , text still no response. I guess the next step will be my lawyer to send a certified letter. read more

Unfortunately I had a similar experience to several previous reviewers. Met Shreef at a gun show, where he had a booth set up. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I hired him to come set up 8 security cameras at my home. He was late and didn't bring the right equipment the first trip out. He finally finished the job about 10 days later. I've had nothing but trouble with the cameras since installation and, after two months of trying to contact him, have just given up. 6 of the 8 cameras work, so I guess it's my lesson learned. I'm disappointed, as Shreef and his partner seemed very genuine. But the workmanship was questionable and the customer service once the money has been exchanged is non-existent. Don't count on them for any help or trouble shooting. Maybe for simple jobs like TV mounting, these guys will do a fine job. But I wouldn't hire them to do security camera installs. read more

Getting my security system working and wifi Internet functional was problematic. We were down to the last few very minor details. I've worked with Sharif for years but he no-showed the repair appointment and no longer returns my calls, texts or emails. I am completely baffled. I am so disappointed because I considered him completely trustworthy and even referred him to my builder for new-home pre-wire. Now, I've paid for a system that I have nobody to support. It's sort of disheartening to write this review. After reading all of the outstanding reviews, I contacted Shreef and hired him to install Lorex IP security cameras at my home. He came out as agreed and installed most of them. He was most pleasant, very knowledgeable, basically all of the good things everyone has written about him. He was supposed to come back to finish the job. That is where the problems started. He no called - no showed on two scheduled followup appointments. I had to chase him with numerous calls and voicemail messages before he responded. I finally got him back here to finish the job, but we had 2 cameras that were not compatible with the system. I exchanged those with Lorex and once the new ones arrived, I contacted him, as agreed. Again, a no call-no show on the next appointment. Again, I was chasing after him on the phone. It took weeks before he returned my calls. Honestly, by that time, his lack of communication and dependability took its toll on me. I decided to look elsewhere to finish the job (still looking). I don't know if Shreef was going through some personal difficulties or what. I was really flexible with scheduling, so if issues arose where he could not keep an appointment, I would not have minded... as long as he called me and told me he wouldn't be able to keep the appointment. What really disappointed me was that he didn't call... didn't show... and then didn't follow up afterwards to reschedule. I just grew tired of chasing after him. He seems like a nice guy and the work that he did do appeared to be first rate, although the job was never completed. Sadly, my experience with Shreef can only be rated 2 stars. I hope if others decide to use him that he will be more dependable, probably earning more 5 star ratings. read more

Submitted a form on their website explaining my issues with a wired multi-room home network problem. Shreef called me about 5 minutes later to discuss the issues and schedule a time for him to inspect. He was able to come over the same day and test every wired connection. He exhausted tests on one problematic wire and offered his conclusion and advice on how to repair or workaround the issue. He made perfect sense in his explanation. My experience was simalr is John A's on 2.0 star rating 4/10/2017. I called home innovations and set up an appointment for morning on a Saturday. Midday, I was informed that there was an emergency and that he would come in the afternoon (which he never did showed up). To give him the benefit of the doubt, I tried to schedule another appointment few weeks later. He was set to show up at 8am on a saturday. This time there was no courtesy phone call, just a no show. The owners of the company came to my home to mount a TV in the master bedroom. They could not have been more courteous, concerned and are perfectionists. They were willing to come for same day service. The cost was extremely fair and quite reasonable. They are extremely wanting to please and asked questions along the way. They even went out to get a wire cover when they realized my older home was built like a fortress and the walls were impossible to penetrate. The young lady was able to wallpaper the wire cover to make it blend in with the walls for a seamless finish. Their promptness and fair price were pluses. Shreef came to my house on 6-29-17 to wall mount a 55 inch TV. While bringing his equipment into my house he dropped his equipment and broke two Lenox figures which were on my curio cabinet in my front door entryway. He apologized and said he would replace or pay for the damages. He mounted the TV and put a paper clip in for an antenna. Since then he will not return my text messages or phone calls about his responsibility regarding the breakage of my figurines. I find this totally irresponsible and would not recommend him to anyone. My experience was similar to John A. Schreef employee (best friend) came out to do some work on 16 Dec 2017 and was suppose to come back out to complete the job. I called Schreef the owner to setup an appointment to finish the work that I had already paid for on 16 Dec 2017. After calling a few times from 28-30 Dec 2017 I was informed on 30 Dec Saturday his best friend would come out and finish the job. It didn't happen, I received a called to say there have been a change of plans because the owner Schreef and best friend didn't have a key to access there ladder at the office to complete the work. I called the owner Schreef several times and left messages, no call back, no response to email.
