We really hate to air out someone else's dirty laundry on social media but we just want to warn others about Myles Foreman and his business BTZ Audio & Video. We were recommend to him by his wife, Rhonda Foreman, who just so happens to be Laine's (my fiancé) aunt. On January 2nd we paid Myles $1,000 for the pre wire of audio and video in our new home, which was completed. On February 3rd, we wrote BTZ Audio & Video a $21,469.19 check for the audio and video equipment, which was cashed/deposited around February 6th. Laine was going build Myles and his aunt Rhonda a fence as a "trade off" to cover the labor portion of the project. After Myles showed some red flags and said we were going to have to pay him even more money on top of the money had already paid for the pre wire, equipment, and the "trade off" of the fence for labor, we decided to have another audio & video company quote us for THE EXACT SAME THING. They were THOUSANDS cheaper.... Not just thousands but HALF THE PRICE. So, we did what any smart person would do and asked for a refund for the equipment portion of $21,469.19. Myles informed us that he would refund us $12,677.57 because he had to charge us a "restock fee" but had previously told Laine he hadn't purchased any of the items and his wife, Laine's aunt Rhonda, told me the equipment was purchased in December or January. (I wrote the check on February 3rd) ... After some back and forth, we were told to just take what we can get because they obviously needed the money more than we did. The last communication we had with Myles was an email from his lawyer on August 7th stating that Myles Foreman and BTZ Audio & Video does indeed intend to pay us back the $12,677.57 BUT sadly they are experiencing a "temporary" business downturn and doesn't have the money to pay us at the moment but it is one of Myles top priorities... Now, this came as a shock to us considering they're constantly posting on Facebook that they are on vacation, took a weekend trip here and there, went to every concert in DFW, and we even saw them at the Casino. We responded to the email saying that if they have the money to do the above, they have the money to pay us back and they had till the end of the month (August 31st) to do so. What came after that? Crickets. Well except for a Facebook post from Laine's Aunt Rhonda, with a picture of her and Myles with the caption "ATTENTION...ATTENTION: All CREEPERS take notice... they're on vacation again... and will be at a concert tomorrow! Take notes and report!!!! THAT IS ALL!!!! ". Embarrassing right??? You steal money from your own nephew and brag about it on Facebook. Very weird energy to have. I had enough and decided to leave a little sarcastic comment stating "I hope you're having the best time on our dime! ". And then the whole family was blocked... l guess she didn't like seeing the truth. ‍ I had to leave out a lot of the nitty gritty details or you'd be reading this post all day but if you made it this far, no we still don't have our money back, beware of Myles and Rhonda Foreman and BTZ Audio & Video, and if you want receipts... we got them. UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST.. BTZ Audio Video, LLC AND MYLES FOREMAN have now filed bankruptcy as of August 18th, 2024 and has since then "rebranded" as Flex-Able Integration and is now under Rhonda's name!! This was a way for Myles and Rhonda to not have to pay us and apparently the rest of their debts back.... all of this is public information. From the beginning I knew things were not going to end well because of Mr. Foreman's nonchalant laidback and unprofessional type of attitude. When I hire a company I like to feel at ease knowing I hired professionals with the most basic level of respect that comes with conducting business with a company. In July 2019 I hired and paid $21,000 up front for a full sound system and wireless network for a new business. I made the that decision based on a friend who knew Myles Foreman the owner of the company. Mr Foreman presented me with three different invoices and we agreed on the one that was adequate for my business. At the time demolition had just started, I started scheduling the contractors in order of what needed to be completed. Mr Foreman insisted to get started at the same time as the electricians because according to him that was going to facilitate the whole process. Mr Foreman rushed to dump all the brand new equipment which got covered in dust and looked scratched. He ran some wires and laid them on top of the ceiling tile grid which was not acceptable by the city code. When I told him this he gave me one of his well known evasive responses and billed me an additional $1,000 to put zip ties to attach them to the main structure. As construction progressed, he said he needed to wait until everyone else was done to finish his job (yet he had insisted to be in at the same time as the electricians). He pressure me to pay him which seemed shady throughout this process. I was feed up with his shameless scam-like attitude and asked him to stop the job but then he charged me for the "labor they did" and told me if I wanted he was only going to give me a few thousand of the $21K I had already paid because he had already delivered the equipment and it was my problem. So I waited to have everyone else finish their job. All the walls were freshly painted and the new floors were laid down. I called to tell him we were ready so he scheduled to come in 3 weeks because he was too busy. His crew came to "finish the installation " but they were clueless as to where they had ran the wires and started cutting holes wherever they felt like so in the process they installed speakers in different places to where they originally assigned. This created a whole new problem with the electricians, because the speakers where now blocking the connections for the track lights. If I had BTZ move them to where they were supposed to go, I would have to patch the sheetrock and ceiling which would increase expenses. At the end of the day they were to finish installation, he realized he had his crew committed to another job so he scheduled me another 2 weeks out. They fixed some of the issues they made but I asked them not to make holes in the walls with out consulting me first. But they starting writing on the walls, cutting the walls, and got everything dirty. Fast forward 10 months. The last 6 speakers were installed, but they were not installed where they were initially supposed to be but instead they were installed in random places. The $1,000 that was pending for the zip ties was pending so he had one of his employees request the payment so I told him to pick it up any other time since I did not have the checkbook with me. About a month went by and I did not hear from BTZ. I received an invoice last Monday and a voice mail the next day and by Wednesday he shutdown my wireless router remotely. Unaware of what happened, I called my service provider and they told me everything was fine and that I needed to talk to the person who did the wireless installation. I had to run my business without music and could not run payments for two days because he had turned off the internet connection. He conducted business in a shady, unprofessional, and completely mediocre manner. He never walked the space after everything was done to make sure things were done properly and when I expressed my frustration with the messes from his employees, he did not do anything about them. His service was overpriced, inconsistent, unreliable, and dishonest. read more

I was referred here from another company to try to repair a problem with the wiring for my home theater company that was causing the sound to cut out and the receiver to shut itself off. Firstly it's very hard to get a hold of anyone here. Their phone number goes straight to voicemail and I had to play phone tag with them for 2 days just to get an appointment scheduled. I made the appointment for 4pm and told them clearly that I would not be home before 4pm. At 2:30pm, they called my phone asking if they could come early. I was in a doctor's appointment and could not answer the phone. They called me 4 times in the span of 15 minutes and then started texting me. I told them I was not home and not to come any earlier than 4pm. They showed up around 4:30pm and said that it looked like the speaker wires were frayed at the receiver end and put some electrical tape around the frayed parts. For this they charged $149. The very next day, the system twice shut itself off just as it was doing before. I called them back, no answer. Texted them and they called me back later. I let them know that the receiver is still having the exact same problem. Their response was that the receiver is 4 years old and probably at the end of it's life and I should either send it back to the manufacturer or get a new one. No mention of the $149 that I paid them just the day before that didn't fix anything. read more

Had Myles and crew do several different things at several homes. Now, Myles goes above and beyond. I know him and I also know several people that have used him, including some who have reviewed him. Installing anything with wires and ladders and ceiling tiles etc. is not easy. Sometimes people don't like where the equipment winds up but they too soon forget that it was their own decision to have a drop terminate in a given location. It is not the installers job to go back and do it again for free. This kind of work is also inherently personal and subject to taste. I've never seen Myles or BTZ leave a giant hole, or trash on the floor! Again if you are not happy with where things are placed, you'll have to pay to fix. Myles ain't perfect, who is, but he's honest and good. I'll take that over the alternative. read more

One of the most important things about working with a company is integrity: doing the right thing when no one is looking. BTZ is a company with integrity and they stand by their services, implicitly. I had BTZ install a TV to a brick wall on my back patio, along with a soundbar and fully-articulating mount. That went perfectly. I also had BTZ install a new camera where the pool builders, essentially, ruined a camera due to their framers cutting some wires when they were building an outdoor structure. BTZ was absolutely relentless in remediating the issue. We had some problems along the way with a complex diagnosis, as well as the manufacturer sending the wrong camera, but all is well now. The most important aspect of this is that they came out quite often to troubleshoot and ensure they were taking the appropriate steps to fix the myriad of issues with the camera and the wiring to the camera. A lot of the issues were not their fault, BUT, they took ownership for everything and made it right in the end. Bottom line, I will use BTZ again for my next AV project and I recommend all of you to do the same. They have integrity and that is VERY important. read more

I had three companies come out to give bids on upgrading my 12 year old AV system installed when I built our house. All three had different ideas and costs so navigating the apples and oranges was difficult for a novice. Came down to Myles with BTZ and another firm and had a heart to heart with Myles stressing trust and integrity and follow up and then hired BTZ. Myles wrote out the services/equipment required and priced the work but said he was sending two techs out to actually do the work . I asked ( told?) him to come out and review the stuff with the techs and me before they got started so there wasn't any confusion as they read the order. He was happy to do that which I appreciated. Everything worked great but about two months after the work we had some problems. I called Myles directly and he personally came out to take a look. He sent a tech out a few days later and the tech fixed it, but Myles' initial diagnosis was wrong. But give Myles credit for coming out himself. Only ding on the rating is the tech that came out for the repair was told to charge me for the fix-it trip. No bueno. But overall I give Myles a thumbs up. Follow up is EVERYTHING! Aaron came in to reprogram my URC system that was installed by another company. He not only did an amazing job, when we had future connection issues he was always available via text or he would come back to fix the issue. Myles was always available also, Saturday's or whenever I had an issue that needed to be fixed. In my opinion its easy to have a knowledgeable company come out and install your home theater system, but the follow up (and there always needs to be follow up) is almost more important as you upgrade and switch out new systems. I spent over $5K in audio/visual equipment and labor for my "man-cave" with BTZ. I was assured that they would come back after the installation and clean up the messy cables. They never did after they were paid. I also asked if they could extend my internet from my main house to my cave which is in another building behind the house. They ASSURED ME that they could do it by trenching a cable in the ground from the house. I paid for the trencher and their services to complete this. it doesn't work and he will NOT stand behind his work and want to charge me for diagnosis and new method of extending the internet. My usual AV contractor Dreamedia had moved out of the area, but I did not know that when I called them to hang a new TV and move a couple other TVs. Instead they just said they were using BTZ as their installers now, so I had them come and do the work. They were late - one guy was an hour late. Impersonal. They refused to reprogram my universal remote even though Dreamedia sold me the remote. As the two workers left I heard them tell each other "nice meeting you" - they didn't even know each other prior to that day. It was a bad experience and I won't hire them again. read more

Lack of communication was how it started, then finished with apathy. The best example of their aparhy was that the owner Miles said it is okay for me to write a bad review because he has so many good reviews it won't make a difference... so, here it goes... I asked multiple times before the project started if all the parts and pieces were ready to be installed. I was told yes, but when they arrived, they were missing multiple pieces and some were wrong! Because of this we had to set a time for them to come back. When we worked on scheduling and which installers would come back, I was given reassurance that I would have certain people on certain days. When I called to confirm, they said they had to change the day and I would have completely different installers than what I had before! When you are doing a project of this magnitude, you want the same installers or at least the same lead so they know where to start and what the customer wants. They came to install over 30 speakers and subwoofers along with the equipment to run it. So, you would want the same installers over this multiple day project. The second installers were much worse with much less attention to detail. They actually used electrical tape to cover the Infrared sensors on my expensive receivers instead of rubber covers that were designed to work with it. They had no pride in their work leaving little to no cable management with my A/V rack. Then they left before finishing the job because they said they had to do another job that was more important. I would have been fine waiting and being told the truth, even if it is bad news. Bryan was the scheduling manager that kept making mistakes. I even found out during the process that he had been written up for almost losing a major business account.. The lies and miscommunication was consistent through the whole process. The first group leader was the only person who knew what they were doing. Paying $150 an hour for installation is not cheap, so the installation should not feel cheap either! Some may ignor this review and I understand, but with so many other Audio and Video installers in DFW, you should pick someone else. read more

For the most part they did a good job, but one room they couldn't get to work. Another technician came out and said everything tested fine and that it may work if he ran another line ( again for an additional charge). I told him not to do it. Later I went into the attic, traced to cable and found it had no head. I put one on and attached it to the splitter and it works fine. I beg you NOT to use this company. We spent $5000 for holes in our ceiling where the speakers were poorly installed, a complete mess with a TRUCK LOAD of trash left behind for us to clean, a tv mounted not even using wall plates (wires left hanging down), an absolute mess of wires, tangled and left hanging, over 30 hours and three trips requiring us to take additional time off work as the techs didn't seem to know what they were doing, techs leaving first day with nothing working and NO explanation, and being told the only way we could use a remote instead of a smart phone was to purchase a $700 remote. Our experience with BTZ Audio was a good one, from start to finish. The sales guy Bob Erwin, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Upon accepting the proposal we were given a date and time frame for the completion of the project. Our installation guy was Jason Burke who arrived on time and went straight to work. Although we had a few unforeseen installation problems, Jason went above and beyond and revised the initial plan and got the job done! This job took much longer then we all initially expected and I know this must have been frustrating for Jason, but he maintained his professionalism and friendly demeanor. I had a VERY favorable experience with BTZ Audio. We have used them on several occasions. Really pleased with their serivce.

Totally sick of the cost and terrible service we had experienced from TWC, aka Spectrum, ATT-Uverse, and all of the others who have come and gone, we decided to go back to the old fashioned antenna. (Actually, as you may know, an antenna provides a much clearer HDTV picture than any of the servers, anyway) First we tried an inside-in-the-window antenna. In fact, 2 of them from Amazon. 50 bucks down the drain. Finally, we decided to have the old fashioned time antenna like were used in our childhood installed. We picked BTZ Audio/Video. Two well-dressed, very nice young people -- a man and lady -- came and installed our antenna today. Works like a charm! We get, I don't know, 75 channels? Fire Stick will provide what the antenna doesn't. The cost was about $350. Tax is only allowed on the parts, i.e., the antenna itself, not the labor. So the total cost was less than $360.00. My experience was great I posted my need on Home Advisor on Easter Sunday. Within a few hours they responded and we started the process of getting an antenna installed. Within a few days the we had gotten an estimate and the installer was great and went above and beyond to get the antenna installed properly.
