Featuring a blend of different cultural traditions and fully bilingual events, this wedding had a lot of moving parts! With Unruffled as our Month-Of Coordinators, everything came off perfectly. We had the pleasure of working with both Emily and Kritzie in our planning sessions. Kritzie, Genesis, and Robert took care of us on the big day. The Unruffled team could not have been more thoughtful, patient, accommodating, and attentive. From the welcome questionnaire to the planning meetings to the site visits to the rehearsal to the wedding day itself, they were not only organized and helpful, but a very calming presence. Their deep attention to detail allowed us to trust that everything big and small would get taken care of, and everything indeed came out perfectly. Because Kritzie and Emily really took the time to get to know us, they were able to make many helpful suggestions throughout the planning process (and during the wedding day itself) that perfectly aligned with and complemented our vision for the event. Kritzie did a great job working with our other vendors, including our reception venue, where we were the first wedding they ever held. On the wedding day, Kritzie and Genesis kept everything moving smoothly without being intrusive at all. We were able to really enjoy our wedding because we knew they had everything well in hand. Robert took amazing video of our private Tea Ceremony (before the professional videographer arrived), and was on top of troubleshooting any minor hiccups throughout the day (clutch job quickly fixing the cocktail hour speaker!). Our families, the church, the reception venue, and our vendors also uniformly (and completely unprompted!) told us that Kritzie and the whole team were the best wedding coordinators that they had ever worked with - high praise indeed! We consider ourselves lucky to have worked with Kritzie, Emily, Genesis, and Robert. Hiring Veronica for our wedding as our Day of Coordinator was the best decision that we made during…read morethe 27-month wedding planning process. From the moment I spoke with her, I could tell that she was someone I could trust to make sure that our day was amazing. I am a perfectionist to a fault, and I had very specific ideas and needs for the wedding. I was worried that I wouldn't find someone who could do as good a job as I could with organization, delegation, and accuracy. But she remembered every single detail. She also handled some larger issues - such as helping me with the shuttles. We needed shuttles for 130 people to leave the venue at essentially the same time - and I could not find a 3rd shuttle. She was able to book me an additional coach bus within 4 days of the wedding - that honestly saved the day. I also asked her to come to the florist with us so she could see our 'vision', since it was a bit more than just putting flowers on tables. When I arrived at the venue, I saw that she took our vision and made it even better! She added touches of gold and lights and greenery in places I didn't think to decorate, and it looked amazing. She was with me the entire night, keeping the sleeves of my dress from falling, helping me with eyedrops when I couldn't see, and constantly checking in with our band, maître d', and photographers to make sure everything was running smoothly. She got us through the mid-reception family photos (which I thought would be a disaster time-wise) so quickly, and was truly managing the time for the entire night. All of the vendors raved about her, and said her communication and precision was impeccable - and that she had great improvisation skills for whenever things did go a bit astray. I didn't have to worry about anything the entire evening, and that was the best feeling ever. Veronica is great at what she does - which is making sure your day is amazing. Michele was patient and helpful when we weren't able to book everything right away since it was too far in advance for some of the vendors but Michele kept on top of it to make sure we got all of our first choices of venue and vendors as soon as their books opened for our desired date! Michele answered all of our questions and was a very good communicator as well as SUPER organized which was comforting to a type A person like myself. Our guests keep saying that it was one of coolest weddings they've ever been to, but judging from that you wouldn't think that there was a long backstory involved to make it happen. Karen is a master in keeping the plan on track, and she coordinated all possibilities no matter what happened the entire time. Something new always seemed to pop up, from an unexpected wedding date and location change, to me suddenly having to move to a completely different city 300 miles away, to ceremony changes, and to us considering starting from scratch to do a city hall wedding midway (which we didn't). AND she seriously saved the day when our photographer couldn't show up at our wedding. Karen Brown's crisis management skills are the sh*t. We would've had to make do with someone's iPhone pics if it weren't for her finding another photographer at the last minute! All my husband and I really wanted was a small casual party with good food, and Karen helped us develop a creative concept that fit our budget, which was also small. Being a former interior designer, she knows how to design good-looking events well. In working with her, I felt that she really took the time to really understand us and our needs to give us ideas that spoke to us, using her extensive knowledge of wedding places and people in the NYC area. Karen also had a great way of helping me see answers more clearly when I'm indecisive about things in the process, and that was great since being the decision maker on most everything was pretty stressful. Most importantly for me, since I had so much going on in my life, was that Karen created a personalized month-by-month checklist of what I need to do prior to my wedding date and followed up with me regularly for more than a year to make sure I created a guest list, bought my dress, sent out the save-the-dates, etc. When we were looking around for a venue and vendors, she took time out of her day to come along with us and asked them important questions that I didn't even think of. She also formulated a timeline for the wedding weekend scheduling each happening by the minute and sent it to all the vendors and the wedding party to keep them in the loop. Having everyone on the same page just made everything run much smoother. One of the best things I remember about Karen was that one day she mailed me a letter that was stuffed with exclusive sales at local wedding and accessory shops. We began our meetings together a little over a month out from the big day, and from the start Elise was warm, organized, thoughtful, and professional. She was always two steps ahead of me and anticipated things I never had, even as an extremely Type A bride. Having Elise working behind the scenes made the day such a breeze for me and my husband. We had a detailed and well-planned timeline to go by, and didn't have to worry about the minutiae that can take away from being able to enjoy the day. I honestly don't know how we would have done it without her, she was amazing at helping us organize family, friends, vendors, timing, music, etc. etc. It was very clear that she'd listened to the type of ceremony and reception we wanted and she made excellent suggestions along the way to make sure everything was ready to go for the big day. On the day she was a wonderful calming influence and just let us (and our families!) enjoy ourselves. She had everything planned down to the minute (and alerted the relevant parties ahead of time) so that she could cue everything up as it happened, seamlessly. At one point my Mum managed to spilt an entire glass of Champagne on my Dad's speech right before we was due to stand up. Though it was pretty funny in hindsight it made him nervous in the moment but without causing any alarm Elise jumped in to help salvaged the speech and gave him her clipboard to make it easier to read. She even noticed that my wife's Grandparents weren't great on their feet so when it came time for the buffet she already had plates prepared for them. It was a pleasure and we were so glad that it meant we were able to just enjoy each other and all of our guests instead of worrying about the event. More than worth it.
