    When you stay for a week in a hotel like this one, you have the opportunity to see how the hotel changes with the days. During the week, it's clearly short term business travelers for the most part with a younger age group than in some of the larger hotels. On the weekends, it appeared to be a lot of lifecycle event attendees, who were there to celebrate with friends. The hotel itself clearly wants to be seen as chic, sophisticated and edgy. The modern decor certainly fits that model. We found the rooms to be quite small and sparsely furnished - no dresser, a few small shelves in the closet, one small chair wedged in the corner, but a spacious bathroom. The refrigerator, annoyingly, was filled with drinks that we had no interest in buying. That said, every part of the hotel was spotless. One very irritating thing - they must deal with a number of deadbeats, because we were alerted by our bank that every day they were putting more holds on our credit card - and that's after starting with a $700 hold. It was an insulting way to treat guests especially ones who have a solid record of staying at IHG hotels. The staff are outstanding. A shout out to Panos, the new hotel restaurant manager, who is just terrific; Robin, the lobby, security man with whom we had numerous conversations, Chris, the doorman who is delightful and several of the other staff. The maids were lovely and one of them specifically came down the hall to thank us for the tip we left each day. The tradition of having managers host the wine social hour between four and five is really quite nice because you get a chance to talk with them (the General Manager, however, was not among the group the week we were there). We ate breakfast every day at L'Amico and the food and the staff were both good. Skirt Steak is terrific for dinner - especially when it's raining and you don't want to go far. Back Bar has an extremely limited menu of casual food, no bread, and no Bloody Mary mix. Odd. Also beware what they call "house" liquor. The charges we received were for premium alcohol not the house we ordered. It's also extremely noisy during the week. The location is good in terms of walking distance to a lot of New York visitor sites, but it's a bit sketchy at night. I must say the friendliness of the staff goes a long way in making any stay here a good one though.

Pros - convenient location - 10 minutes from Empire State - 15 minutes to Times Square - has additional amenities to borrow or keep including iPads, chargers, bathroom and bedroom amenities - fitness room - secure and safe, elevator requires keycards Cons - pricey obviously - no bathroom ventilation - no ice bucket - fridge is a minibar packed with drinks for sale, so you can't really bring anything back that needs refrigeration - rooms seem to be on the smaller scale, not much working space

    Great hotel in Midtown with friendly staff and nice rooms. Very convenient location that's close to the subway, tourist spots and many restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious. Definitely recommend!

    My family and I stayed here during the holidays, and we had a nice time at this hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff were very attentive, and the location was convenient. The only downsides that I found were no microwave or refrigerator in the room, and the automatic fees for amenities I didn't use were a little frustrating. The bar was lovely, but the restaurant downstairs left a lot to be desired with their expensive yet subpar food.

    The Kimpton Hotel Eventi is a swanky hotel located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. It's very conveniently located just around the corner from the Empire State Building and within easy walking distance of Madison Square Garden. It's close to major public transportation hubs including the amazing Penn Station. In other words, it's a great place to be your base of operations in your New York City visit! The hotel itself is a tall building, with several bars and restaurants within it. We liked the art found throughout the building, but the electrical wiring sculpture hanging in the Back Bar was really something! Our Premium Room on the 21st floor had a great view, and had a spacious and beautiful bathroom. The best thing about this facility is its staff! The front desk was always super helpful, and genuinely personable. We were on a first name basis with our housekeeper, and the restaurant serving staff was very good as well. The hotel gave me some special decorations and special beverages for my birthday, which was very nice. We only ate breakfast on site, and it was nice enough. We receive free breakfast as an IHG Diamond Elite perk, but this was limited to two menu items: Continental and American. Something to be aware of if you are a member. The quality of the American was good though, and you could add side items at an additional charge.

    Great location, very nice employees and it had three restaurants if you don't want to walk or drive. Room was nice and we had a nice view west looking over the older buildings with the water towers

    We are back! We booked the same hotel after visiting two years ago and it did not disappoint. We had a view of the Empire State Building from our room and made it to the downstairs bar for amazing cocktails. We didn't make it to breakfast since they closed at 11am, but around the corner is Friedman's and would highly recommend for brunch. We made it to dinner and the truffle pasta was 10/10. Shoutout to Jennifer for helping us out again and making our stay so great!

    4.5/5 overall for a 5 day / 4 night stay! The inside of the lobby and king room was very accommodating - the staff were very helpful for anything we needed, and the security and door folks made me feel really good about the tenancy of who was in the hotel as well. The proximity was fairly close to a lot of good local eats and things to do as well. The beds were generally comfy and we had little to no trouble out of the WiFi or TV services either. It was a bit tricky at times getting a Lyft or Uber in at the location - just a tip, maybe set your pickup point a block away where it's easier (saves on your wait time). Will definitely be back the next time I come up to work in NYC!

I quickly realized that nothing compares to having experts like them who know how to handle any last minute issue and have wealth of experience working with vendors/venues across NYC. Chelsea had great recommendations for vendors I neglected to look into earlier on in the process and was a huge help in making sure critical details, such as the rain plan, were worked out. Where the team really excels is making sure you do not deal with any stress on the day of the wedding and focus on having fun. I was so impressed with how professional, patient, kind and calming the entire team was. They made sure the bridal parties all were on schedule, vendor setups were done on time, food was set aside for my husband/I during cocktail hour, swapped out my heels when they saw I was in pain and even ran back to the house when we forgot our marriage license. These are just some of the little details the team took care of so we didn't have to worry about anything. They truly are your eyes and ears and it was such a relief knowing they got it handled. We had…read morea big wedding with 250 guests and I was anxious all the way up to the day of the wedding, but I was surprised by how much fun we ended up having at our wedding. I would say one big reason is because of Shirley who was there with us every step of the day. I knew I wanted a day of coordinators who are not only bilingual, but also know the Chinese wedding customs. We had many Chinese guests and family members who did not speak English, and this was the first wedding of parents from both sides. I wanted to make sure we have a good time, and our parents are also well taken care of since we will be too busy to tend to them. We had all our vendors booked before hiring Shirley so we booked the classic package. For this package, Shirley started working with us about 6 weeks before the wedding. She introduced herself to our vendors and made sure they had the itinerary before the wedding, attended zoom meeting with us when requested, and she was quick to respond to our requests and questions. Our wedding included elements from both Chinese and Western weddings, it was a 14-hour day including getting ready, gatecrashing, two tea ceremonies, photoshoots, a first look, ceremony, a quick first dance practice, receptions, and three dress changes (7a-11 pm)! With so much to do, we had a tight itinerary, and Shirley made sure the right people was at the right place at the right time so we are on schedule. She communicated with our wedding party on what's next on the itinerary, and guided our parents through the itinerary. Shirley did a mini rehearsal with our parents for the ceremony and reception introduction on the day, and made sure they were there to see our first look through the window without interrupting our own moments. We highly recommend Shirley to anyone who is looking for a wedding planner or day-of coordinator.

He helped me make mindful edits and suggestions as an unexpected injury almost sidelined the whole event. His team was so understanding at pivoting all throughout the day. There were so many last minute changes that took place. They were such great sports about everything. They were super patient, very professional when approached and helped me with every change up needed. All of my guests had a fabulous time with DJ Winston, spinning tunes and giving out light up sticks on the dance floor (that was a very nice surprise). Winston was so easy to work with. He arranged our playlist perfectly. Ben, our photographer, was really super! He helped us with staging, posing, checked for optimal angles and lighting. Did retakes on the spot if it wasn't perfect. I really appreciated that. All throughout the event, he was running around taking shots, double and triple checking my pre-set list of must have photos. He didn't miss a beat. During our event, I recall seeing him on the floor, behind the tables, by the back wall - I mean he was literally everywhere! I think he was more anxious than I, about the photos I said I wanted as he reminded me a few times that I didn't take the few shots that said I wanted. LOL (No worries Ben, you did it, we got them all)! And kudos to our photo booth attendant, Jeffrey. A man of very few words but he was patient and took care of 70+ guests in 4 hours. He manned the photo booth solo and it ran very smoothly. Between the multiple prints for each person and those re-takes, he was so quick. (Some of us were caught off guard so outtakes and retakes were indeed a thing). The 40+ teens definitely had a great time taking photos at the booth. All of our photos came out great. Choosing the photo layout and card design was actually the hard part - we took a bit of time to choose. Our guests really enjoyed the variety of props provided, you could tell the had fun with it. The best part was the silver backdrop we chose for our booth -- it was classy and stylish. Loved it and it complimented our decor! I totally recommend Dynasty Weddings without reservation. When it came down to the wedding, everything was amazing! Everyone was raving about the photo booth and the animated GIFS! The prints/photos were some of the highest quality I have seen from a wedding! Tommy was great with the light setup and managing the photo booth! Following the wedding, we also received a photo gallery. The pictures were enhanced and everyone looked amazing in their shots. Chris and his team provided ease of access to the photos for us to relive all the memories! DJ Lo provided such a great ambiance and really transformed the dance floor when the time came! He understood what the wedding needed in terms of music and was great with accommodating all of our song requests. The music really brought everyone together and made it a fun night! And lastly, Terry did a great job of navigating me throughout the night as my bilingual MC! He made me feel at ease and I appreciate all the coordination! Everyone loved the opening ice breakers he brought up! I appreciate how smoothly everything turned out with Terry navigating me throughout the night! She has planned two events for us this year -- a large-scale party on Long Island and complex destination birthday party for 20 in Morocco. Meena blew us away. Her organization, attention to detail, artistic eye, command of vendors, ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, and pragmatism make her incredibly special. For our Memorial Day Long Island party, Meena had to contend with unexpected winter-like conditions. She nimbly found a way to bring the DJ and games indoors and rented industrial strength heaters, making our outdoor tent as toasty as a cabin, all the while crafting an aesthetically stunning dining experience. Morocco required organizing the travel and logistics for 20 guests coming from around the world. This was complicated by pandemic-related restrictions that included nightly curfews in Morocco. Meena flawlessly adapted our trip so that we spent two days in the desert and surprised us with dune buggies for the group, fire performers, snake charmers, and a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the beautiful desert landscape. Meanwhile, she remembered little details like traveling with my favorite drinks and hot sauces at all times. Everyone who attended gushed about Meena's planning and considered this a once in a lifetime trip. Beyond that, Meena and her husband Philip are lovely people and a pleasure to work with. Where Meena made my day was in solving the many unforeseen problems that could have become disasters. She did this so quickly and well that I never knew there were issues! From steaming everyone's dress and tux after they got wrinkled, re-working and essentially re-creating my bouquet, arriving with 50 pashminas when the temperature dropped to decorating my cake (something I completely forgot about), tying bow-ties and figuring out how my dress worked when we couldn't get it on she saved the day at least 100 times. Meena is a wedding super-woman. I have no idea how she does it but I'm delighted she does.
